What started out as a prospective submission for the Outlandish Mini Figure Guys line from October Toys has grown into a series of hand cast limited release figures from creator Ted Terranova and now after teaming up with CoolMiniOrNot into a board game format with factory produced figures. This fantastical military setting draws it's inspiration both from the first world war and from the speculative fiction of the pulp magazines of that era to imagine a world constantly at war where the technology never got beyond early twentieth century standards but developed in some wild directions meaning that infantry can be supported by such various units as cavalry, walker tanks and monowheels. The Kickstarter project to fund this board game is already a roaring success and hit the initial funding goal of $25000 within an hour of going live. Three days in the first set of revealed Stretch goals have been knocked aside with funding already over $140000. With the additional bonus items unlocked for Kickstarter backers this is shaping up to be a fantastic package. With the current set of revealed stretch goals hitting $225000 will essentially give backers at the 'Blitzkrieg' level twice the figures initially planned to go in the game.

This will fund on the 4th of February and is due to deliver in September. The game should be available at retail some time after that but the Kickstarter rewards are going to make it well worth getting in early. Links to the Kickstarter page and Ted's Rivet Wars homepage below.
