Vader was
far from original. There were no less than
two Black Knights just like him in Arthurian Legend.

I don't recall a superhero having a metallic sheen, outside of the Silver Surfer but then that's the core of his design. Batman has a preference for dark grey and black in the comics, and all-black in the movies. He's far from the only heroic character to wear all-black (Neo, Luke Skywalker, the Punisher, MIB, etc.) though he is the most successful to pull it off.

I have no idea what that has to do with any of this. You know he wore that suit for a while in not just the comics, but in pretty much every adaptation, right? The Symbiote suit in the comics lacked any detail, other than his eyes and Spider-Symbol.
Duke of Luns wrote:Also, back on topic, does anyone know what the(for lack of a better term) "villian" of the new film is going to be?
From the Wikipedia Article, Michael Keaton appears to be filling Ronny Cox's role from the original.

He'll probably fight the ED-209 at some point, but, uh...the ED-209 was never a villain, it was just a machine doing what it was told by the actual villain, a corrupt CEO. Robocop never really battled another robot until the second movie.
