Looks like the future of Robot Boxing wasnt to far off! I think the title could use work though.
From the looks of it, you build and control your own fighting nachine Battle Bots style, and rock'em sock'em punch eachother to death! Could have potential, but my hopes arent high.

Seeing this only makes me realise how much I miss Robot Wars.

Now THAT'S more like it. No more rolling dustbins with saws and easily broken off whirlygigs! Finally something comes to SYFY besides Warehouse 13 (all the other shows I loved got axed so we could see wrestling and horrible b movies about man eating animals) that I will actually watch!

As a SyFy show goes ... that was a good show!

I know it's a fair way off from Real Steel standards, but damn it was still fun! And I ALMOST was jumping up and down cheering, but I stopped when I realised how silly that was.

Waaaaaaaay too much filler nonsense I don't care about, the actual robot bouts are too short, and the pyrotechnics were distractingly unconvincing.

Eh, it was ok, for the first ep. anyway. I thing the robots should have wheels and tank treads instead of feet and lifelines though. Kind of hard to take them seriously, the way they gimp around.

What bugged me the most, was the fact that the contestants didn't get to build their own robots. Would have been really cool to see everybody's different ideas and stuff in the design portion. Like they sit down with the robot designers and say what they want on it, or want it to look like. then they get to see how the robot is built. Oh well >:oP

Yeah I wanted some tank treads too. Would go perfectly with that one guy, The Commander or something. The gimpy walking and the "Baysplosion" Pyrotechnics were bugging me during all the fights.

But man would it be sweet to build one of those things AND get to control it.

Give the show a chance, see it get a couple of seasons, things are bound to pick up some more.

The show was alright, but it just seems like it is less exciting that it should be. I was looking forward to this SO MUCH, but I feel disappointed. There movement is slow and unconvincing. Lifeline + Legs just isn't doing it for me. I prefer Battlebots/Robot Wars style bot fighting.
