No locking Scimitar. Not pleased.
Amazing figure though.

I'm finding myself becoming swayed by this figure. I really like the transformation, for some reason. The way the robot pieces just disappear into the beast mode is stunning. It's seamless. You'd never know it was a robot. Which is just awesome. Even the pegleg is selling me.

He's not one I'll go out of my way to order, or spend extra on, but if I see him at retail, I'll nab him. I can't believe that one video review changed my mind. Grr.

Thankfully, Magnus still sucks. LOL

It's not a review it's a product demo since the "reviewer" never gives his opinion about Thundertron.

Of course I would be suspicious of a shop doing a review of something it's selling. The video was still very good and gave a really good look of Thundertron.

I having a hard time believing this fits in the "Prime" universe... Maybe I'm just not keen in going back into the beast universe (though it seems imminent). At least he isn't too much of a shell former, he kind of reminds me of a beast machines toy. I'm only going to get him to complete the line, but my overall anticipation is rather low... He doesn't look terrible, I like the peg leg gimmick, just not feeling him right now. Looking forward to my imported Gaia Unicron though!

The more I see of Magnus the more disappointed I am by the lack of paint (and the poor quality of some o the ones that are there, particularly the truck cab roof. At the same time, the more I see of the captain the more I want him. Particularly with Cybertron Cannonball on the way.

How interesting, for me it's the opposite. I'm very much looking forward to Magnus.

However, if they add the 3rd faction of purely beastforming space pirates, I would be more excited, as he'd have a crew to stand with.

It be fitting that this be released on Talk Like a Pirate Day. Arr.

I'm glad the reviewer didn't praise the figure like it was best thing ever. I don't like reviews by people who want to sell you something.

Not really my thing but it looks smart for a beast based figure.

Thundertron and his Star Seekers are in the Exiles novel. Part of the Aligned universe that includes Prime.

----------------------------------------------

You know, the gimmick for that weapon is useless. Why not just turn the weapon backwards? Instant sword without locking.

As for the rest of the figure, I love it. I will display him with his epic peg leg. Hope to see the other 4 Star Seekers in Beast Hunters. :D

Wow... Maybe I'm in the minority but I'm actually shocked at just how BAD the LION mode is. Apparantly no head or jaw movement, locked shoulders, no real lower back body -just stupid robot hind legs, and a tail that appears to jet out the middle of the back. For a Scout Class... fine. Deluxe... disappointing. Voyager?!... really? If I want a tranforming Lion, I will stick to G1 Razorclaw and Voltron thank you. Robot seems cool despite the dreaded Powerizer non-locking folding weapon gimmick. Very disappointing for a Voyager.

I want to like this figure but, unfortunately, I do not. Maybe he will grown on me when I have him in hand.

Hell, yes! I don't care about the sword not locking out. I can fix that ish myself. Just like with Starscream's weapon. I can't wait to get my hands on this guy! Both he and U.Magnus look great to me. :KREMZEEK:

Retail distribution will stop you, unless you plan to buy online.

But I share your excitement. :D

I ordered both him and Magnus and they should be here tomorrow or Saturday the latest Monday. I wasn't gonna order thundertron but now really seeing him in robot mode I really like him even know this review really didn't help me decide that lol.

What store did you find Dreadwing at? Did you find all of them at the same time? I thought somebody said he was 1 to a case? I've had no luck and would appreciate the information for my hunt going forward! :???:
