Bat, how is that possible? Didn't it come already transformed in car mode when you bought it? Or did the alt mode not fit together properly from the start?

The trunk has a nasty habit of not lining up properly thanks to the arms having to be tucked in there as well. The arms use a tab and slot system (on the arms themselves and on the trunk) when folded in, but it's hard to make it all work.

Well, to offer an opposing point of view, I myself have had no problems transforming either of these figures. I find that if you tab the arms into the trunk, then fold the trunk up, it all comes together nicely. I feel bad for those who may have trouble transforming these guys, as they do have nice looking car modes. But I have a hard time seeing what the problem they are having is.

As for the original poster's leg question... I like Wheeljack's legs the way they are. It helps to add to the distinctiveness of Wheeljack and Tracks as two different characters. Besides, it is also fairly accurate to the look of Wheeljack's G1 toy. That being said, however, if you enjoy your own Wheeljack better with mistransformed legs, more power to you! It is your toy, enjoy it as you wish!

Shameless self plug for my review of these two figures! Have a nice day.

if you got one of each, presumably you could unscrew the lower leg parts/shins to give a mistransformed Wheeljack some knees.

Thing is, I only want one of this mold. And I already have plenty of blue deluxe cars.

Thus, I don't need to differentiate Wheeljack from Tracks and I prefer a more complicated mechanical look since I want to repurpose Wheeljack as a Movieverse character. The Tracks legs look more Bayverse.

Although the knees have me worried. If swiveled at the waist, do his knees go the opposite way only?

I'm with you on Wheeljack's legs. The proper way... they just kinda looked like a fat dress to me. So I turned them around - looked hollow until I snapped the "wrenches" onto the front of his shins and folded them down, and didn't look too bad at all!

Well, I got ol'Talky Ears in the mail yesterday and I have to say he's quite an awesome figure.

Some slight movieverse design elements (mostly that panel behind his head), nice multi-purpose wrenches/shoulder cannons and a very cool update of his G1 alt mode. The Tracks legs look quite good on him though it sadly disables his knees.

Oh, and if you plug in his gun with the barrel pointing towards the back of the car, and figure out the knack to fit his arms in the vehicle shell, he closes up near-perfectly. There's a slight seam on one side which could just be a dud.

At the risk of being the Nth person to offer advice, it's not too tough. Flip out the rear of the car so it's flat, 180 degrees from its final position. Arrange the arms so the double jointed elbow is pointing upwards, and the palm of the hand is also pointing upwards so that the arms double back on themselves. Attach the arms to the rear of the car first, and then fold the rear of the car into position, the arms should fold smoothly into place.
