Say, best ways to keep record non-tf collection?

Do you collect other toys besides Transformers? Maybe you've got a Masters of the Universe collection you'd like to show off, or maybe you like Thundercats, Voltron, G.I.Joe, Power Rangers, Star Wars, Wrestling, or any of the various comic book toy lines. just curioius, if I want to keep a proper record of all my figures, say on a microsoft word document, how would I best go about this?

I use Excel myself, much easier to manage all kinds of data. However, I do have Word documents for keeping track of and planning spots in my collections. My layout is relative simple:

Name of toy line in bold and underlined
Name of chosen subcategory in italics
- (tab) Name of toy
(tab) - (tab) Name of toy, different version of same character
V (tab) Name of toy (acquired)

For instance:

Animated
Autobot Crew
V Optimus Prime (Voyager)
- TA-38 Wingblade Optimus Prime

V Bulkhead (Leader)
- Bulkhead
V Bumblebee
- TA-39 Jetpack Bumblebee
V Prowl
- Samurai Prowl
V Autobot Ratchet
Top 5 Priorities:

1) BW Neo X-7 Elphaorpha
2) BW II VS-18 Powerhug vs. Autocrusher
3) Universe 2003 Night Slash Cheetor
4) RiD Landfill (regular, not the yellow)
5) BW Convobat (red) & Megalligator (purple)

Also looking for Arms Microns, especially Shadow (Gora & R.A.), Hellflame and Shining (O.P. and R.A.).

Preparing to move to the US!

Let me know, ok? btw If you're collecting combining mechas, I put the name of the ultimate (desired) combined form on top, followed by its components. For instance:

- Bruticus
*- Onslaught
*- Brawl
*- Blast Off
*- Swindle
*- Vortex

Or multi-stage:

- Great Might Gaine Perfect Mode
*- Great Might Gaine
**- Might Gaine
**- Might Kizer
*- Might Gunner
Top 5 Priorities:

alright, I've only just started it, so I'll be sure to get back to you when i can.

the combiner idea sounds pretty good, the way you add them to your list. I'll be sure to try it.
