Waiting on a few things, but mainly confirmation that ill be able to moves the monies for you, otherwise we'll have to keep this within factions (which would suck.)

With any luck ill have this running by next week.

the get a liscence idea seems cool, and if you dont get one the "hunters guild" or whatever could put a bounty on you?

maybe have a post board of bounties and guilds for more specialized hunts.

Its definitely happening, the question is when and how we can make payments cross factional.

As the bot tourney is drawing to a close over the weekend, this will hopefully start early next week.

i may be able to run one over the two weeks of christmas and the new year(since scalp hunting doesn't require the runner to actually do much) as most folk should be busy then and the sites fairly quiet it should be easy to do.

I'd rather there was soem form or tournie over that period myself (not that I'd have the tiem to help run it either way).

i can commit to a hunt but not a tournie, i'd help, but i can't lead it with my frequent absences over that period (22nd-2nd) if psych approves i'd like to book that slot.

I could try running the tourney over the time period, if we can get some maximals to commit and Tammy doesn't mind. I don't think it would interfer with a scalp hunt, but given as how I've really never ran anything, I wouldn't know.

If you want to co-ordinate with Tammuz then be my guest.

The only thing to bear in mind is that scalphunts only require minimal organiser involvement as every one keeps their own scores, tourneys need counters and over xmas that isn't always easy to do.

As for the bounty hunting; this will definitely be going ahead, but is subject to a few delays currently. Sorry guys.

I'm not entirely sure it's a good idea to have players playing two games at the same time, and thats kinda wy i "dibbed" the christmas period.

but meh i don't have any maximal actually interested in mine yet.

Unless missions count for both, which means posting for both, which means people running around like headless chickens... Conceptually appropriate for the scalp hunt but it could still reduce the fun.

Maximal participation generally seems low - so I'm supportive of letting some things run to build community involvement while AZ & I run around with

to rouse the Maximal interest. Given the response thus far to the scalp that seems a very appropriate tournament.

missions would count for both unless AZ's organised the first arena only tournament,

on a personal (and thus petty) level it irks me that as soon as i come out and say "right, enough bullshit, time to make some concrete plans" and actually book a time someone else comes along and says "ooh i want to run mine then too"

Overlapping tourneys are a nightmare to both run and play in, but its not my call. Tammuz made the request first and so gets the slot, if she is willing to share it is up to her.

Scalping and Bounty Hunting should take precedence as they've got clear participation and have a longer history of discussion.

I had wanted to run mine like three weeks ago. But that didn't work out so well. I thought that since there's like 5 active Maximals, and we could score it on wins and not kills, both could coexist. I wasn't intending to step on your toes, which is why I said if you didn't have a problem. I proposed it because Red said he'd rather have a tournament. I could run it next week too, if we can get a story slapped together.

Again, sorry if I crossed a line, but that's why I beleive it always helps to ask.

Ok. Just means I might be able to pick your brain for help later.

*edit* Actually... An Arena based tournie would be extremely easy to set up... Have everyone who wants to participate sign up their characters they want to use, only fights against the other participants count, each level gets a champion. Round Robin style scoring, best win % wins since you can't assume everyone's going to have the same amount of fights, so you can't go off kills... Wouldn't need a story, it's essentially a slugfest...

... But that's basically a arena based scalp hunt...
