So what's up with the chrome on the Kreons?
They call me “Tanker Chungus”!

I think they may be special kreons for the blind pack, like the special gold minifigure in Lego's blind packs.

They're the "Custom Kreons". My best guess is that the chrome is merely an attribute of them.

In some shots they seem to come with an equipment rack of spare parts. I'd guess they're some sort of Weaponizer, customize-your-own-ultimate-Kreon line. If that is the case I hope Hasbro's found a way to strengthen the shoulder ball-joints. Otherwise kids are going to be breaking their toys faster than you can say "stress marks".

Hmm, I'm all about customizing Kreons, but I don't need chrome or clear bits nor those Battleship alien arms nor slightly different versions of characters I already have.
Hopefully the next batch of Combiners and Micro-Changers gets released soon. I need, like, ALL of those.
What's up with the rock guys with laser cannons on their chests?

Lots of good artist names for Dark Cybertron. I am pleased.
