Hmmm....for that price, I might get this Metroplex. Get the extra red gun, and 12 legends figures? :-?

Have to say, way to fail with the Guardian PVCs. They don't look particularly interesting.

Really loving that Shockwave laboratory! :x

I'm rather... underwhelmed by Metroplex. I mean, hooray for the two guns and chrome-iness, but dang.

Twelve figures with Metroplex, you say? No images of them? Darn. :-(

Oh look, Shockwave's lab is made from recyclable plastics

I would point out the fact that it says 'figures', not necessarily legends, which Scamper is specifically referred to as. I would guess these will be more like small plastic statues, but I could be wrong.
But who will they be? Prime, Megs, Screamer and Bee for sure, and then Soundwave, Shockwave, Ironhide, Jazz, Ratchet, Thundercracker, Skywarp and Cliffjumper? :-?

None of these exclusives grab me. I don't think Metroplex comes with 12 legends; I think they'll be non-transforming, non-articulated figures. For the price plus shipping it's just to much money. Looks like the only thing from Hasbro I'll be getting is that Deadpool set.

Shockwaves Lab, brilliant idea! Now to decide whether I want to go through the effort of getting it or not.

yeah the Mertroplex wording is weird. Maybe Kreons?

When I first read the Metroplex post I thought wow what a great deal. But it actually says legends-scale scamper and 12 miniature figures. Meaning 12 not legends size figures. Like the others said, probably not transforming Transformers.

I sure hope not. The BotCon Kreon exclusives were the only ones I thought were adorable.

Never going to happen but it'd be cool to see Hasbro dust off the WST moulds for a western release as those pack ins. Given the prices those buggers can fetch that'd make that set look like a deal and a half.

Well I think Metroplex is a bit of a spanner in the works. :-? Could make things interesting between this and Takara's version. The lab is kind of a cool little exclusive. One for the hardcore maybe.

The one thing that really bugs me in all this are lines like "this set of five non-converting 6-inch-tall figures" and "and also converts into an Autobot city."

I mean seriously: converts?! Are we actually all fans of The Converters? BotCon is the official Converters convention? Maybe I'm being petty, but it really bugs me. :-x

Where've you been? They've been using the word "convert" for a good long while.

Well minus this great controversy of "conversion", I won't lie I find metroplex very underwhelming. The shockwave's lab set is very nice though, i'd shell out 60 bucks for it XD.

There's nothing I'm remotely interested in getting. Maybe the Vinyl Scratch MLP toy... but that'd be about it. >:oP

Shockwave's lab is kinda cool... and cheap looking.

I'm down for Metroplex.

The way I see it, I'm saving $100 bucks over the Takara version vs. paying $50 over the Hasbro version. So long as those additional paint apps/stickers cover up some of that overwhelming whiteness, I'm sold.

I wouldn't poo-poo the 12 figures just yet. I doubt they'll transform, but they might make nice little accents that help scale Metroplex appropriately - i.e. a tiny Optimus he can hold in his hand.

Again, will reserve judgement until we actually see some pics.

I actually kinda like the Titan figures...it's just a shame about Starscream's cannons and Prime's smoke stacks. Very distracting.

Yeah, Shockwave's lab does look a bit cheap... but at least we get a Commander Predaking... which is kind of cute. I mean, is that Predaking before he grew up?

The Metroplex looks FANTASTIC to me. I'm glad to get some chromey goodness without shelling the Takara fees/prices! An extra $25-50 for some chrome and stickers, extra gun, and mini-figures to decorate the city? I mean, probably NOT worth the extra $50, but as this is a TF product, it's not too bad in the scheme of things.

METROOOOOOOOPLEEEEEEEEEEXXXXXX!!!!!! :KREMZEEK:

So, when will they be available at the Hasbro store?

Well, I was hoping for Metrotitan. Oh well, money saved I guess. I'm not cancelling my preorder for the Takara version just to fight it out over another SDCC exclusive only to end up paying an absurd price for it in the end anyway (learned my lesson with Bruticus last year :P), at least not when I can just guarantee myself a Takara version. I suppose price will end up about the same on the after market for this version as a retail bought Takara version imported, but there's a lot less hassle in just keeping my preorder and skipping this.

Happy hunting to those of you who plan to snag one for $150 though. I hope Hasbro produces them in sufficient number and that the scalpers aren't too out of control this year.

I wanna know what the deal is with these 12 figures include with Metroplex is. Seeing as only FOUR Legends class figures are out, is Hasbro planning on releasing a lot more between now and August?

My guess is they'll use Prime Cyberverse figures in new decos, which wouldn't be the worst idea in the world. Still, gonna wait until Hasbro clarifies that a bit.

Sorta tempted by Shockwave's lab, but it really is pretty cheap.

At the moment the only thing I really want is the GI Joe/Transformers crossover set.

I'm inclined to agree with the poster that suggested it would be these.

I'm not sure why some of you are assuming it's full-fledged TF toys that come with Metro. It's 99% likely it will be tiny, monochrome figurines.

For $150, you WOULDN'T get 12 Cyberverse figures. Not when the legions go for $6 apiece - 12*6 = $72.

Look at Shockwave's Lab - cheap-looking materials and short on the extras. Apply same logic to Metroplex!

That would be cool if they brought those little buggers back but I'm more inclined to think they'll be something along the lines of the small Titanium figures from a few years back, maybe scaled down. Somewhere between Micro Machine and small Titanium size, which I suppose would be right about the size of those red and purple G1 figures but I wouldn't be expecting them to be bendy. That's just my guess. I'll probably be way off though. Doesn't matter much to me since I'm still on the fence about Metroplex anyways. I'm very underwhelmed with how they designed him. He has totally impractical features (like ramps that are WORTHLESS in base or city mode) and he just looks poorly planned compared to his G1 incarnation. That and not having Slammer and Six-Gun kind of irks me slightly.

The Predacon Laboratory set with Shockwave though, that got my attention. I'd be all over that if I were down there right now. I would not be surprised if we get a re-release of that at regular retail minus the cool paint apps for Shockwave. Wouldn't surprise me if they withheld the Pred. too and made us buy that figure separately but kept it at the same price point. That's right up Hasbro's alley as far as business practices go.
