Scrapper let out a mental sigh of relief. It had taken a while for Ramjet to ponder the apparent trustworthiness of Scrapper's response but he had at least come to a productive conclusion: it was a conclusion that did not involve the Constructicons having to suddenly dogpile and subdue a Seeker. That was really all that mattered.

"Until next time," Scrapper said calmly, tucking his arms behind his back as he slowly walked back to where Bonecrusher and Hook were. He was a little surprised to see that Bonecrusher was awake. With Bonecrusher's procedure finished, they were getting close enough that Scrapper could actually see the finish line. It was akin to being on a long voyage only to find yourself within one or two light year's of your final destination: the hunger to complete this project was palpable in Scrapper's mind now. But he knew something of this magnitude and complexity could not be rushed. He would have to center himself and treat the last remaining pieces of this puzzle as carefully as the first.

Bonecrusher, for his part, seemed to show no apparent aftereffects of the procedure either, as he had caught some of the dealings between the Constructicon commander and Ramjet. It was just as well, as Scrapper would make his whole team aware of it if and when they came to a place that the arrangement would actually prove useful--a matter that was still somewhat up for debate in Scrapper's mind.

"Trust? Eh. I don't think I'd use that word. But in the current political climate, the Seeker ranks are an already unstable element. Ramjet even moreso than some of the others. At least this way, if some other mid-grade, would-be warlord decides he wants to suddenly take over our operation, they'll have to go through him to do it, heh. If you're not feeling anything glitchy, which you shouldn't be, go and help the others. Long Haul put forward a proposal for a training facility that I think will mix very well with the overall purpose of this base."

Scrapper took a moment to look around. The base still had a long way to go, but they had all made some commendable progress on its completion. The idea of "completion" though was a misnomer, as Scrapper intended to continually evolve the construction of this facility even after its primary functions for serving as a forward operating base were complete.

"It looks like we're down to you and me," Scrapper said, turning to Hook and clearly unable to contain some of the enthusiasm from creeping into his voice. "Your recommendations?"

Mixmaster swung around at the sound of Long Haul’s voice he’d completely forgotten about the resident lugger. “Terribly sorry Long haul might be better if you back up alongside Scavenger he can then dump the gubbins straight into the dump section. I’ll take a selection of these rocks and see if any usable bits are within” the materials expert reached down and started to lift the rocks some excited him more than others as he wandered off to another part of the cavern to begin his experiments.

“Shame we couldn’t get samples from Ramjet anyone with a head that dense has to be worth studying” He grumbled loudly as he laid the rocks on a bench and pulled some of his more basic equipment from various lockers on his legs.

Hook had rushed through his work on Bonecrusher, of course ‘rushing’ for someone as precise and accurate as Hook was the equivalent of taking a long time for others. He felt confident enough in his abilities at the procedure to skip some of the testing and triple checks for accuracy. As much as he might loathe Bonecrusher he knew that he was the perfect blunt object to batter Ramjet with if it came to that with the obnoxious Seeker.

The surgical engineer grunted in annoyance when Bonecrusher started talking to Scrapper. Just because he had him activated didn’t mean the surgery was complete. He quickly worked on the last few connections and sealing up the opening he had created. Still, it was probably a good sign that he was talking at least. The surgery apparently had no ill effects on him.

Hook stood up as he finished the work on Bonecrusher. “Alright, you’re done, you can get back to whatever it is you were doing, destroying something I imagine. Just make sure you do it far away from all of my delicate equipment.”

The Constructicon turned to face his commander as he addressed him. It appeared that the Ramjet situation has been defused peacefully, which was a relief. “Yes, we are down to the most important and critical stage now Scrapper, the solo surgeries on each other. I recommend that I perform the surgery on you first, while keeping you as active and alert as possible. You will be able to observe everything first hand to clear up any questions or problems we might have. Once that is completed you can perform the procedure on me in a similar manner. Both of them will take longer since it will be one pair of hands doing it all instead of 2, but I see no alternative, and believe me I have tried to find some.”

Scrapper nodded lightly at Hook's suggestions as he climbed on top of the slab. He looked over in the direction of the other Constructicons--who seemed to be making respectable progress given the vague nature of their current assignment. In time their efforts here would be truly worth it. In time the titanic Devastator would rise up from this abysmal sea and there would be nothing these fleshbag sacks of H2O could do about it.

He then thought about the arrangement that he had come to with Ramjet and, more importantly, the state of the Ultrax. He did not overly enjoy the idea of splitting his already divided labor force, but he needed more information than what he had to work with presently.

"Sounds like a plan," Scrapper said. "I suppose now's as good a time as any to do a little multi-tasking. Once's he's finished, I daresay we'll be a little distracted, heheheh."

He opened up a comm with the other Constructicons, most of whom were working either on the other side of the base or well outside of it as the land that would occupy the training facility was suitably excavated.

>>"Ramjet has provided me coordinates to the Ultrax. It's going to need repairs and we're eventually going to be ordered to do them. I want some hard data on what work is going to need doing in order to make that ship flightworthy again. One of you needs to go check it out. That way we'll at least look like I'm keeping my word to Ramjet. I'm sure whatever lackey he has with him will bounce one of you to these coordinates just like he did Ramjet. Report back to your original assignment as soon as you're done. I don't care who goes."<<

Scrapper transmitted the coordinates of the vessel that Ramjet had provided and then leaned back and readied himself in a prone position so that Hook could work.

Back and forth, in and out of the base, loading and unloading, such was the life of the Constructicon transporter. With very little help from his comrades, Long Haul had managed to cart away the vast majority of the rock pile Scavenger had created during his digging. Mixmaster, meanwhile, had taken what he needed and disappeared, leaving it to a group of worker drones to fill up Long Haul’s truck bed so that he could then lug all of the excess rocks and boulders to a place far outside of the partially built base. Once everything was dumped, the heavy lifter returned to the confines of the dome and repeated his task. It was a repetitive one at best, but he was used to such chores and was very good at doing them.

Then came the chance to do something different, something a bit more meaningful even if it meant dealing with a certain cone-headed seeker. Long Haul transformed back into his robot mode and listened as Scrapper sent out a unit-wide comm to the Constructicons, ordering one of them to head over to the Ultrax and determine the extent of the damage done to the Stunticon vessel and what exactly needed to be done to fix it. The idea of having to work with Ramjet didn’t sit well with the green transport, but at least it was something more than carrying useless rocks to and fro. Now, Long Haul had a real mission or the semblance of one in order to make the white conehead happy.

>>”No problem, Scrapper! I’ll head over there now and figure out what needs to be done. Long Haul out.”<<

Cutting his comm line, Long Haul glanced over at Scavenger and gave his comrade a hearty wave goodbye. “See ya later, Scavs! I’m gonna check out the Ultrax for the boss. I shouldn’t be too long.” Not waiting for an reply, the heavy lifter turned and headed out of the protective dome and back into the corrosive salt water environment of the Yellow Sea. Once he was far enough away, Long Haul opened another comm line, this one to the crashed Stunticon frigate that was located somewhere at the bottom of the Kurile Trench as indicated by the coordinates that Scrapper had sent him and the others:

>>”Long Haul to anybody onboard the Ultrax. I’ve been instructed to head over to your location and take a look see at the damage done to the ship. Scrapper wants hard data on what exactly needs to be done to fix that frigate and make it flight worthy again. I need someone to bounce me over there ASAP. Sending my coordinates now.”<<

Once the coded message was sent, Long Haul simply crossed his arms over his chest plate and waited for a bounce beam to rescue him from the acidic compounds of the surrounding sea water.

Scavenger had been happily digging away to his spark's content. Had been. Past tense. Until Scrapper's transmission came through the comm lines. He paused in his work, transforming into his robot form to look up at Long Haul, wondering where in Pit Mixmaster had scampered off to. Scavenger begrudged Mixmaster's luck of slipping away. Now it was left to Long Haul and him. The last thing Scavenger wanted to do was leave this wonderful hole in the ground. It was where he was most at home.

Fortunately for the Constructicon excavator, Long Haul bit that bullet for him. He didn't care if Long Haul did it for himself. The gratitude Scavenger felt toward his comrade was unconditional. The Constructicon waved to his comrade as he walked away.

"See ya, Long Haul! G'luck with that conehead!" he shouted after the transporter.

Speaking of the conehead, Scavenger wondered what exactly he meant to do. Transforming back into alternate mode, the excavator resumed his task of digging out the crater and its precious minerals. If that Ramjet was really trying something, he'd have to contend with the likes of the Starscream and Shockwave and even Scorponok and Deathsaurus at some point. Just to name a few. What chance did he think he had?

As his shovel plowed into the earth again, Scavenger shoved his concerns to the side. Those were things that Scrapper would take care of. He trusted Scrapper to make the right choices, and he'd follow him anywhere. Scavenger was left with a profound relief that he did not have to deal with those sorts of things.

Undersea Base

“Lots of good, raw building materials on this planet, hehehe,” Mixmaster chuckled as he drove up and came to a stop just a few meters away from Scavenger’s current position. He transformed and closed the remainder of the distance between to the Constructicons. “We could turn this whole undersea cliff face into a super super super fortress. Definitely plenty of materials around to build whatever we want. Plenty for the training facility that Long Haul told Scrapper about. Definitely.”

He then looked around.

Where’s Long Haul?

“Where’s Long Haul?” Mixmaster asked, echoing the thought that had just crossed his mind. His optics then flitted from one area of the base to another. “Oh! That’s right. Scrapper’s comm. He went to the Ultrax right? Bet that’s a mess. Haha.”

He then looked over at Hook who appeared to be diligently performing the same operation on the Constructicon Commander that each of them had undergone. He then looked back at Scavenger and then Bonecrusher and then…nothing.

“Alright. I’m gonna go whip up some more polysteel.”

And just that quickly, the chemical engineer was gone again.

Priority-2 Transmission from the Thanatos to all Constructicons

>>"Constructicon unit ordered to return to Thanatos engine room: effective immediately. Critical damages sustained. Signals locking. Prepare for orbital bounce. End transmission."<<

Scrapper sat up on the slab that he had laid himself out on. The voice was unfamiliar and generic. Surely some Vehicon slave. But only something as critical as damage to the main battleship in this sector would warrant pulling them away from something as strategically valuable as base construction. Hook had not yet begun the process of retrofitting him with the alterations necessary to become a part of Devastator. Scrapper had no idea what was causing the surgical engineer to take his sweet time with getting the process underway, but now it seemed to be a fortuitous--if inconvenient--turn of events.

What exactly was going on up there?

The struggle for leadership was clearly having some unintended consequences.

Scrapper slid himself off of the slab and began to close up the exposed portions of his torso. Clearly their work here, both on the base as well as their own special project, was going to face a delay of some kind.

"I wonder what--"

But before Scrapper could get another word out, he was gone in a flash of brilliant white.

The latest batch of results of his new hyper dense building materials where promising according to the pad that Mixmaster was reading. “another couple of tons of this will be enough to support the ceiling and keep the damage from weapons fire at a minimum” The materials expert turned to start on the next batch when a priority message came through

Scavenger unloaded another payload of terran material onto the outer edge of the crater that he had already managed to excavate. Confused by the sudden and rather authoritative recall, the excavator transformed back into his robot mode reluctantly and struggled to climb out of his hole to look for Scrapper and answers. What had happened up there? Did the Autobots damage things?

"Scrapper, wha-"

But before the Constructicon excavator could get another word out, he was gone in a flash of white.

Scrapper appeared in a flash of white light. To his pleasant surprise, there had been some progress made on the base since they had left, since a minimal allocation of Vehicons and other assistance drones had been dispatched down here to continue their work. Thank Primus. He would have hated to see their work simply stalled out while they were away dealing with Shockwave and Starscream and the Fallen and the Autobots. Even so, there was a long way to go.

Grimlock and his strike team materialized on the beach as the bounce beam receded into the night sky. The mighty rex-former showed no real signs of disorientation from the trip and neither did any of his fellow Dinobots. They were far too tough to be affected by a mere bounce down to the surface. The other Autobots, however, were a different story. The Dinobot leader could only elicit a low chuckle at their individual wobbly reactions.

“Typical,” Grimlock muttered under his breath as he turned his scanners on the surrounding area. There were no immediate signs of human life nor was there any indication of Cybertronian weapons platforms or other automated defense systems. There were, however, three fairly large mounds spread several meters apart from one another just off the beach near the cliff face. However, while they appeared to be artificial in nature, they were also hollow inside with an entrance on the front of each.

“Seems me was right,” the rex-former stated as he glared back at Scoop. “No auto-guns. Just big empty storage caves. We should check out, though. See if ‘Cons leave anything behind.” Grimlock then turned towards the rest of his strike force. “Autobots, check caves for any cyber tech left by ‘Cons. Even if nothing useful to us, can’t take risk of fleshlings finding our tech. Dinobots, search beach for anything unusual and keep optic on sea for any potential sneak attack by ‘Cons. Keep eye out for humans, too. Swoop, you fly out over water. Scan for artificial structures underwater. Try give us idea on exact location of ‘Con base if possible.”

“You got it, boss!” Swoop replied as he then transformed into his pteranodon alt mode and took to the skies over the Yellow Sea.

With the bombardier off conducting his scans, Grimlock returned his attention to the rest of the team. “Let’s get job done here quickly. Me not want spend too much time on beach. Longer we here, more chance we lose element of surprise. Once Swoop returns we head underwater to crush ‘Cons,” the Dinobot Commander stated in no uncertain terms before transforming into his Tyrannosaurus Rex alternate form. Grimlock then lumbered slowly out across the sand towards the waterline where the moonlight glistened on its surface. He focused his scanners at the large body of H20, half expecting an army of Decepticons to suddenly emerge at any moment.

Bring it on. Me ready, the T. Rex thought to himself, hoping for a fight wherever and whenever he could get it.

Blaster materialized with the usual sickening lurch as his molecules frantically reassembled themselves. He held a hand up to his temples while the world and his fuel pump settled themselves before his optics. Once they did, however, Blaster was quick to shake it off, activating his scanners almost immediately. He swept the nearby areas but it came out all clear. Still, they were probably a good ways off from the Decepticon base.

The CCO set about doing what he could to mask their signals. An orbital bounce, however, was usually fairly telling, and if Soundwave was back on the job, there could be no knowing if they had given themselves away. Blaster was going to do what he could to make them not give themselves away. At least until the time to strike came.

“Roger that, Grimlock,” Blaster chirped out, well accustomed to multitasking on the battlefield by now. He looked over to Scoop and Getaway, gesturing for the two to follow him. As he marched forward over the sand, he opened his chest compartment, shooting out two forms in the pale moonlight. One landed with grace. The other…not so much.

“Steeljaw, I need ya to stay frosty and keep a nose out for any ‘Cons. Ramhorn, if there are ‘Cons, you just do your thing. But don’t wreck anything until then, got it?”

A grumble came from the red rhino. Steeljaw merely raced off in advance in reply, serving as a scout to their little party. Blaster glanced back at Scoop and Getaway. “I’d say roll out, but I don’t have an alt. mode that does.”

Mixmaster bounced down and followed after Scrapper just like the others, looking around as he did so. The Vehicon drones had done some good work in their absence, putting some nice foundations and levels in and around the beginning dome structures to where it was beginning to look less and less like a bubble city and more like a properly functioning Decepticon base of operations. Nice nice nice.

“Well, boss, you see…um…There was a fight down…at this mess…lounge type place? And…uh…Well, Haul tried to break it up. And! And I was jus’ tryin’ to help an’ all. But that…that Weirdwolf fella wasn’t really havin’ it. Sorry, boss.”

Mixmaster nodded approvingly.

"Yeah. What he said."

Scrapper appeared to take this in for a couple of moments as he walked over to examine the extent of Scavenger's injuries more closely, more intrigued than angry.

"Mmhm. And who started this little melee?" the Constructicon Commander said.

"Uhhh..."

Bonecrusher was happy to see this place again, and happy to see a bit of progress was made in their absence. "Ahh I feel at home now, except it's not 'home' exactly. Still feels good though."

"Mmhm. And who started this little melee?" the Constructicon Commander said.

Bonecrusher grunted, "well, for once it wasn't me who was destroying faces. I did kinda destroy a table though... oh no. Well, they'll clean it up. I meant to pay for it but, then I got called for more important matters."

Bonecrusher grinned at Longhaul, "haha well, at least I got to see someone else of similar interests do the honors for me."

Then Bonecrusher turned back to looking at their old project, "So what's the plan commander Scraps? Where do we get started?"

High-priority, secured transmission from Razorclaw to Scrapper:

>>”Commanders Onslaught and Scrapper, this is Razorclaw. I know that we just spoke recently, but something urgent has come up that requires your feedback. You both may or may not be aware that the Burning Justice recently appeared on our sensors nearing the Sol System. I don’t have to remind you that this ship belongs to Scorponok, High Commander of the Second Expansion Fleet. While they are still a good distance away, they have already made contact with us. Scorponok does not appear to be on board, but he has requested to be patched through in order to speak with Megatron, himself. This, of course, poses a serious problem for us. Now, Soundwave has already initiated a signal interference to stall for time, but that will not last forever and eventually our kin will come looking for Megatron directly. When that happens the truth will be uncovered and Scorponok will come here to claim the throne for himself.”<<

Razorclaw paused for a moment to let his words sink in before continuing.

>>”Needless-to-say, we currently do not have the means to fight a mech of Scorponok’s power. The option of creating new combiners is on the table, but by the time that happens, the High Commander would have already arrived and seized control of the Empire. The only real options are to utilize Devastator and Sixshot, assuming I can convince Shockwave to help me free the phase sixer from Starscream’s grasp. But, even then will that be enough to stop Scorponok? I fear not. Nor would it be right for me to sit on the sidelines and let others fight a battle that I should be fighting. Unfortunately, I alone do not have the power to defeat Scorponok. I would require your help once again. Thus, my question to you both is: should we even try to fight him?

“With your support and assistance, I have fought for and won the throne in order to give the specialty groups the respect and position of power that we deserved. I also did it to keep the leadership out of the hands of Shockwave, Starscream and even Thunderwing, all of whom were not worthy successors to Megatron. However, Scorponok is a different story. I really have no qualms with him and he is the rightful second in command after the slagmaker. Thus, should we not at least consider throwing our allegiance to him? It would, after all, avoid more infighting and thus be better for the Empire as a whole. I know that after all we’ve fought for this seems like we would be giving up, but it may be our only option other than facing Scorponok’s wrath. The Decepticon mantra has always been that the strongest should lead. Until recently, that was Megatron, but now that has changed. I’ve already received feedback from Motormaster in regards to this. So, I now ask both of you, Scrapper and Onslaught, should we try and fight Scorponok or should we embrace him as leader of the Decepticons and put an end to any further possible infighting once and for all?”<<

"You get into too much trouble," Scrapper teased as he finished his cursory examination of Scavenger's wounds. Nothing critical that the Constructicon Mining and Salvage Specialist could not handle on his own.

"Well, for once it wasn't me who was destroying faces. I did kinda destroy a table though... oh no. Well, they'll clean it up. I meant to pay for it but, then I got called for more important matters," Bonecrusher added, partially answering Scrapper's query.

"That's reassuring," Scrapper agreed. Finding out that Bonecrusher was not, in fact, responsible was indeed a good thing. He was trying to secure the positioning of his team. Starting melees in lounges would not help him in that effort. And Bonecrusher was the most likely out of all of them. But this time it was Long Haul. Go figure.

"So it was you, eh?" Scrapper said, turning to face the Constructicon transport. "What prompted this? You should've-"

But Scrapper stopped in mid-sentence as a new transmission came through, another from their leader. He had just been with him a short time ago. It had to be urgent.

As he listened, he discovered that indeed it was. Very urgent. For a few moments he remained still and silent. He stayed this way even after the transmission had concluded. It was an interesting turn of events, to say the least.

"You flip a glitch, chief?" Mixmaster asked.

"Not quite," Scrapper responded, opening a line so that Hook would receive his audio also. "I just received a very interesting, secured transmission from our leader. It seems that a ship from the 2nd Expansion Fleet has arrived very close to our sector. The Burning Justice. Scourge is aboard with a message from High Commander Scorponok: he wishes to speak with Megatron."

Scrapper paused for a moment, letting out a sigh.

"Obviously this puts us in a predicament. Our leader has asked Motormaster, Onslaught and myself how best to respond to this new development. Obviously, when Scorponok finds out that Megatron is gone it will radically change the balance of things. I...I'm not one to just unilaterally make decisions for us, especially on matters such as this. So, what would you have me tell him? Do we coalesce and fight for what we have pieced together thus far in Megatron's absence? Or do we submit to Scorponok's eventual demand for our collective obedience without resistance, knowing that he will install his own new high command along with him?"

Bonecrusher was quite confused, and almost perplexed by the words that Scrapper spoke. He thought for sure that things would remain calm for at least a while, but now that this is happening, it opens up a whole new world of chaos. Normally, Bonecrusher is in the middle of chaos, but this? This is most assuredly going to cause at least a degree of disaster.

"Hmm." Bonecrusher grunted simply. He knew hardly anything to say that he felt confident in saying. He was also quite surprised that Scrapper would ask them what their views on the situation is also.

Bonecrusher finally said after some of the others had finished what they had to respond with, "Our cause has survived this long. Whatever it takes, whether it's submitting to a new leader, or; Primus forgive me for saying this; but even if we must forget about Lord Megatron for a while, our cause must remain the same no matter what the cost. Even if we must do some things we may regret, as long as it builds toward the greater good, it is the right thing. That's all I know, commander Scraps."

Bonecrusher then muffled his voice slightly so that Scrapper was the only one who could hear him speak, "...even if it resorts to killing this 'Scorponok'."

Weapon: Automatic Acid-Pellet Gun
Korean Peninsula – Western Shoreline

The angular confinement beam of the transportation effect held Scoop in mid motion, locking the barrel of one of his weapons into the modified stock of the other. It felt as if it were an eternity, frozen in place mid motion, looking out across the azure blue of the Yellow Sea, the granite stone edifice of the mammoth cliff that towered above it... shearing it off from the wisps of gray white clouds and multi colored sky. In the instance of paralysis, the soldier could easily make out the breaths of wind against the Beach Trees and the white caped foam of the waves as the beat against the tan silicate sands. And then release.

Scoop twisted his wrist with a satisfying click the two specially modified weapons, the first being a twin laser guided ion blaster... of which he had nicknamed Tracer, and the other a Steel shattering dual compression cannon, nicknamed Holepunch. A muted tone alerted the soldier to the activation of several command codes and modification processes that went along with the traditional combination of the two specialized weapons.

"Irregardless," Scoop commented as he reached down and pulled out a portable scanner and began adjusting its frequencies and fine tuning its passive scanning abilities. He pulled the smaller screen of text up to optic level as he leveled his weapon parallel to the ground. "There are a few minor modifications..." He twisted a dial on the scanner and again narrowed the focus of the sensor beam, aiming the device at the base of a small rocky outcrop.

"Blank spots in sensor scans. A few adjustments to the EM bands, confirms that there are placements... Sorry Grimlock," the soldier shrugged as he spun the scanner onto the wrist of his right arm and locked it into place. "Looks like we're both correct. Weapon placements, or at least foundations of such. But you're probably right. Installation wasn't commenced after the recent events of the last few days."

He looked up at the larger mechanism as he grabbed the barrel of his elongated weapon to stabilize it. His gaze only offered a wryly acknowledging smile before he gave a nod of a salute. He raised his weapon and fell in behind Blaster and in front of Getaway. "Alright Disc Jockey, time to sound the rally cry."

"Mmhm. And who started this little melee?"

“Well…I-“

Bonecrusher grunted, "well, for once it wasn't me who was destroying faces. I did kinda destroy a table though... oh no. Well, they'll clean it up. I meant to pay for it but, then I got called for more important matters."

Scavenger pouted pitifully as he held out his injured arm to Scrapper.

"You get into too much trouble.”

“Sorry, boss…” Scavenger mumbled contritely, feeling quite ashamed and completely missing the fact that his commander was teasing him. He listened passively as the others talked, not feeling worthy to even speak in their presence after having been chided. As Scrapper confronted Long Haul about the antics in the lounge, Scavenger hastily interjected.

“Well, he didn’t start it, boss! He was just trying to stop it! There were already tables flying and stuff when we got there…That big guy…Skullcruncher? He was chasing one of Motormaster’s guys around. Not to mention…”

Scavenger trailed off as he realized that Scrapper seemed distracted. Mixmaster had taken note of it too. Apparently, Scorponok wanted to talk to Megatron. “That’s gonna be kinda hard when Megatron’s dead, boss,” Scavenger commented. He did wonder why Razorclaw would bother telling Scrapper that. Seemed kinda pointless to him. But Scrapper put it into perspective for the excavator.

“Well, I’m not sure what coalesce means…” Scavenger muttered. It was Bonecrusher that spoke up after that, voicing his opinion on the matter. He didn’t quite understand Bonecrusher’s answer. Seemed kind of like a non-answer to Scavenger. And he muttered something to Scrapper. Why would he keep secrets? They were all on the same team.

“Um…well. I don’t really wanna fight any other ‘Cons…just doesn’t make sense. I just wanna scrap some ‘Bots and dig some stuff up with you guys like I always have. Whatever lets me keep doing that gets my vote?”

Scrapper nodded at Bonecrusher's thoughtful response. Well, about as thoughtful as the bruiser ever typically tended to get. It was measured in its restraint, even if it ultimately boiled down to his willingness to stand against Scorponok. Long Haul voiced a similar sentiment.

"Yeah, we got Devastator now. This is our chance to not just build but destroy anything that tries to tear it down."

Scavenger's focus was naturally on keeping to themselves, not doing anything to attack a fellow Decepticon unless forced to do so.

"And you, Mixmaster?" Scrapper said, turning his attention to the last member of his specialty unit.

"Devastator's our key key key heheheh. But....he needs refinement. Uluru showed us that. He's not ready--we're not ready--to resist Scorponok. If he comes here and we stand against him, he'll crush us all. Hmhmhee. Literally."

Scrapper took in each of the words of the other Constructicons and weighed them against his own thinking. They each made valid points, which made the process all the more difficult to give Razorclaw a definite answer. This was why tyranny worked so effectively. Megatron would have told Scrapper what he needed to think about the matter and he and his team could focus on building something that made it a reality. Power and politics was a much more challenging game. It was what he wanted...no...he didn't want power, but it was what his team deserved after all these vorns: to be on the inner circle of Decepticon strategy. At the end of the day, the strongest would rule. Had to rule. It was the Decepticon way.

>>"My lord Razorclaw, your transmission has given me much to think about. After conferring with my team and reflecting on the situation, I've come to the uncertain conclusion that if you stand and hold your place, the Constructicons will stand beside you. Ultimately, however, the decision is one you will have to make. You essentially asked me whether you should fight. I don't know. But I do know that Scorponok represents simply another of Megatron's inner circle. And who after him? Many will be as unsatisfied with his rule as they perhaps are with yours or would be with Starscream or Shockwave or Thunderwing's leadership. The difference is you have the mantle now. You can defend it."<<

Two new bright white flashes materialized within the budding Decepticon outpost. In their wake, two additional Decepticons proceeded to adjust to their new surroundings. For Hook, the locale was a familiar one. It was to be the next Decepticon base of operations on this planet after Mt. St. Helens had been compromised. For the other, well, Hook could only imagine what the Valckastan aristocrat thought of the current state of affairs down here. But ultimately it had been he who had requested to meet with Scrapper and the others directly, so he couldn't exactly be too offended by their present surroundings.

Hook casually approached Scrapper and the others, taking the lead so as to afford the higher-ranking and considerably more powerful Decepticon a proper introduction before he moved himself as far as decorum would allow from the creepy, techno-organic warlord.

"Gentlemechs," Hook began, "may I present Thunderwing, Warlord of Valckasta. He wished to speak with you directly, Scrapper."

Hook then quickly positioned himself to one side, clearing a path for Thunderwing to interact with whomever he so chose.
