Bottom of the Yellow Sea

Jailbreak could feel the mud under-wheel gumming up his axels at the bottom of the sea. It was slowing him down, his internals feeling like if it wasn't for the cooling salt water he would be overheating. One of the Dinobots, designation 'Sludge' raised his foot and brought it heavy to the ocean floor. "Aww look, the Dinobot is tap-danciiiiiinnnnnGGAH!!"

The land beneath Jailbreak split wide. Trying to drive out of the way of the quickly widening fissure, the torrent of water flooding the new opening with hundreds of tons of water pressure sucking him into the new opening created by Sludge.

Mud clung to his internal structure as Jailbreak transformed, his hands gripping tightly for dear life as the hundreds of thousands of gallons of water crashed down over and past him, feeling the servos maintaining his grip started to short holding Jailbreak from being brought into the low abyss down below. Primus damn it, how deep is this thing?!

With great effort Jailbreak started to pull himself out against the flooding of the fissure. Unfortunately, Jailbreak wasn't the only thing being pulled in. His optics took in a large piece of near by coral, a reef, being ripped out of it's foundation by the sudden shift of water. He had but a moment to react, and a moment was not near enough time to avoid the situation of the incoming natural construct. The coral reef crashed heavily into Jailbreak's face.

The grip loosened, and Jailbreak was in free fall into the chasm that Sludge had created, his face tented heavily, part of his face-plate stripped away, showing the internals to his right-side jaw, oozing internal fluids darkened the already brackish waters.

Arms and legs spread out, it took quite the fall before his arms and legs started to hit the fissure walls, leaving long indentations as he continued to fight against the water pressure. Once he held the position, fighting against the sudden pressure slowly lessening as he looked back up realizing he had almost been put down over a hundred meters below the ocean floor.

"Great..." Jailbreak said in dismay, as he saw a large shadow at the top of the fissure. What else was coming down in after him? More Coral? A fellow Decepticon? A Dinobot?

Landgrab had done his level best to do as Flamewar had instructed. He had heard of her reputation, much like he had heard of the reputations of many upper-echelon Decepticons. He knew that it was unwise to cross or fail any of them. He really had no intention of starting now...

...except for the fact that they were going against Dinobots. And even if they did have a giant Combiner on their side, fighting Dinobots was a tall order for any Decepticon.

And it just so happened that before he could make it to the base, he came a little too dangerously in range of one such Dinobot. As the massive quadroped slammed his foot down, Landgrab quickly felt himself knocked down, picked back up, and then pulled forward so violently that his equilibrium sensors went completely screwy.

And not long after that....down....down down down....and in the most muffled of underwater crashes, Landgrab felt his sizable form impact with another metallic Cybertronian body before he had the sense to roll over and away.

Everything was quieter now. The rage of battle was...above him? Yep, above. Quite a ways above.

He looked over at the mech he had landed on, instantly recognizing him as the same mech who had made a not-so-subtle threat his way before they even left the Thanatos.

"Dinobots, eh? They're the worst," Landgrab said as he grunted and slowly pushed himself to his feet.

Bottom of the Yellow Sea

The massive Landgrab crashed into Jailbreak's attempt to stop his fall into the crevasse that Sludge had created. The fall had given Jailbreak enough time to start cursing angrily with a sudden crash, followed by silence.

When the mud settled around him, Jailbreak could only see the massive Landgrab on top of him. The sheer weight of the impact, which Jailbreak took the brunt of, had left Jailbreak imprinted in the ground beneath him, his shoulder mangled heavily from the fall.

"Ugh.... If you don't get off me RIGHT NOW, I'm gonna... I'm gonna... I don't know what I am gonna do, but it's not gonna be all buffs and oil-baths!" Jailbreak was furious. He was so close to getting in on the action, and now he was stuck at the bottom of this trench.

Watching Landgrab finally rise to his feet, Jailbreak forced himself up. Feedback was registering in his damaged shoulder, and it took him a moment to smash the mangled metal with his first back into a working shape.

"Dinobots, eh? They're the worst,"

"No, they arn't, 'I' AM! Soon as I get outta here, I'm gonna grind em to bits with their own teeth!"

Jailbreak rushed to the cavern wall, trying to climb the sheer faced cliff. He managed about a few large steps before his shoulder sparked, the water glowed with the electrical discharge, and he came crashing back down.

Grabbing hold of his shoulder, he looked back up. "Ok. Got an idea. I once saw this historical military feed, and there was a similar situation. Follow me on this..." Extending his hand to the giant standing with him.

"I can't make the climb, you're gonna need to give me a boost to give me the momentum to make it to the top."

"You're going to have to toss me."

Skullcruncher had been following Jailbreak, concealing himself in the mud cloud left behind the truck's wake in order to ambush whatever Autobot Jailbreak would have zeroed on. A solid plan had it worked. Sludge's little earthquake changed everything. The fissure the Dinobot had opened into the sea floor caused a massive change of water pressure, sucking everything in the vicinity towards the chasm. Hundreds of tons of water rushing to fill the fissure was something even someone as strong as Skullcruncher couldn't just escape from. But unlike Jailbreak and Landgrab who had been completely helpless against it, Skullcruncher did manage push himself into the sea floor instead of the chasm itself.

Still hidden in the mud, claws dug into the sea floor – the crocodilian could only wait until the pressure steadied back to more normal levels and hope that Sludge had unwittingly caused more trouble to himself and the other Dinobots than he had meant to. Unfortunately that was unlikely to be more than them losing balance due to the distance to the fissure from their positions.

”>>Weirdwolf, did you make it?<<” He asked through his communicator, never taking his optics away from the colossal Dinobot whom Skullcruncher could see on infrared despite of the mud cloud. >>”I am going for the big one. Watch my flank.”<<

With the water pressure sufficiently stabilized according to his sensors, Skullcruncher burst into action, shooting towards Sludge from the sea floor like a torpedo with few powerful swings of his tail – aimed directly at the sauropod's neck, jaws opening just before he was on the striking distance of the large Dinobot.

"Ugh.... If you don't get off me RIGHT NOW, I'm gonna... I'm gonna... I don't know what I am gonna do, but it's not gonna be all buffs and oil-baths!"

Hmmmm...well....come to think of it, that all sounded nice and relaxing right about now. How long had it been since he'd had a good buff and an oil-bath? He might have to-oh right, battle!

Focus.

"Right, right, I'm movin', I'm movin'," Landgrab said as he put a comfortable distance between himself and the smaller but still considerably more threatening mech.

"No, they arn't, 'I' AM! Soon as I get outta here, I'm gonna grind em to bits with their own teeth!"

Well, if nothing else, Landgrab certainly appreciated this mech's "can-do" spirit. Somebody on their side certainly needed to do some Dinobot-grinding, otherwise Grimlock and his gang were definitely going to grind them. To that end, Jailbreak tore off up the side of the trench as Landgrab prepared to do what he could to rejoin the battle also. He only looked up when he saw that Jailbreak had come crashing back down.

Ok. Now what?

"Ok. Got an idea. I once saw this historical military feed, and there was a similar situation. Follow me on this...I can't make the climb, you're gonna need to give me a boost to give me the momentum to make it to the top, Jailbreak said, laying out his plan to remedy this problem. After he'd finished, Landgrab just nodded agreeably. He'd certainly heard worse ideas in his day.

"Sure! That sounds workable," Landgrab said, looking at the smaller mech. "So, um....ok....I'm gonna need to..."

Landgrab's hands fiddled their way around Jailbreak's smaller form in order to get a decent grip, and then with all the hydraulic energy he could muster, he spun around and tossed the mech upward with a weighty hammer throw.

Weirdwolf, to his credit, was a fairly swift combatant on land. That was not the case in water. When he had hit the edge of the undersea dome in alternate mode, it was as though all of his momentum disintegrated. He transformed back into robot mode and began jogging as fast as he possibly could through the water, which, arguably, was not fast. Meanwhile Skullcruncher shot off like a torpedo.

Doing his best to catch up, Weirdwolf found a bit of fortune in his hampered mobility. When the massive Dinobot Sludge created a fissure underwater, he used the suction to propel himself forward, planting his sword in the muck as he drew near and slowing himself until the water pressure stabilized.

>>Weirdwolf, did you make it?<<” He asked through his communicator, never taking his optics away from the colossal Dinobot whom Skullcruncher could see on infrared despite of the mud cloud. >>”I am going for the big one. Watch my flank.”<<

>>”Still here I am,”<< Weirdwolf commed back, yanking his sword free. He circled around Sludge, firing off a barrage of missiles at Slag in order to cover his long-time friend.

Alpha Dome

At the terminal now, Flamewar largely ignored Misfire’s comments. It was irrelevant information. Her digits danced across the keys of the console. She soon located a master terminal from which she could execute her assigned task. She locked down other terminals: Authorization Tau. Stepping back, Flamewar pointed her fusion bow at the terminal and fired, destroying it.

"What, do trust me well enough to make some decent friends now?"

Flamewar’s optics narrowed at the comment from her old pupil. It was uncharacteristic of him. In fact, a lot of his recent behavior had been rather odd. There hadn’t been time to address it privately, and so long as it didn’t interfere with the mission…she supposed it could wait. Turning on her heel, she stormed off toward the control center.

Alpha Dome – Control Center

Flamewar entered the control center, stepping up to the terminal. She entered her credentials, beginning the long task of deleting all of the data from the base. She started with the most sensitive, restricted data. She was not long into her task when a transmission came in from Razorclaw.

>>”Flamewar, this is Lord Razorclaw. I am observing everything through various vidcam feeds both inside and outside the base. The Dinobots appear to be a distraction. Interior scans and images have revealed the presence of three additional Autobots within the Alpha Dome. They are currently near the outer wall at the following coordinates. Move to intercept them immediately! Take no prisoners!”<<

Flamewar’s optics narrowed. Her head snapped up as her optics riveted onto Warwolf. “Warwolf, a group of three Autobots have breached the dome. Take Cloudbreaker and Misfire. Kill them. Or at least hold them at bay until I arrive,” she ordered, sending him the coordinates of the Autobots. “Go now.”

Turning her attention back to the terminal, Flamewar redoubled her efforts. She needed to destroy any sensitive data. She momentarily considered diverting forces from those sent to combat the Dinobots, but quashed the idea. They needed as much manpower as they could muster to fend off the Dinobots. Still, she wasn’t sure if Misfire was going to be more of a detriment than a help. Flamewar shook her head to clear it. Had to keep going. Scores upon scores of data deleted.

Sooo... Now I'm airborne. Now what? Jailbreak's wistper of a common sense asked. Thankfully, such irritations are brushed easily aside from his mind, as the massive Landgrab hurled him through the water upward. For all of Jailbreak's significant bulk, Landgrab seemed to have little issue hurling him like he was a small stone.

However, the fissure wall was fast approaching. Common Jailbreak, Think, Think, Do something clever...

The silence in his head was deafening.

Ahh Slag It!

His T-Cog began the transformation into what could loosely be described as a semi-truck torpedo that landed it's wheels onto the wall in full rotation. Bits of sea-floor were being scraped off as he brought his engine back into the redline.

He was now racing upwards fully vertical. However, gravity was fighting against him. As he came up over the ridge, he fired his nitros, with an amazing burst of speed at the finish he shot himself out of the fissue created by the Dinobot. He was only going to remain airborne, or is that waterborne, for a few seconds.

It was at that momment he began to fall, and looking down, he saw one of the Dinobots. Who it was he couldn't be sure of, but if there ever was a time to play a game of chicken with no road, this was it! Aiming his spiked grill downward, he aimed for the loose silhouette among the muddy water he brought up with him out of the fissure.

This is going to be sweeeeet!

Bottom of Yellow Sea:

The battle raged on as Swoop kept shooting missiles in the direction of Devastator’s visage. The screams and grunts of the giant behemoth made Swoop grin as he continued to fire.

Then out of nowhere, some random Decepticon landed on top of Swoop. It was Jailbreak; though, Swoop wouldn’t have recognized him even if it was Megatron. Swoop was caught off guard.

“AGH!” shouted the pterosaur as he tried to roll and escape under the weight of the relatively large truck on top of him. Though Swoop was larger in height, Jailbreak was larger in density, and strength. A solid metal stone he felt like.

"WHA! Get- off of me! Stupid 'Con! Scrap for brains! SCRAP I say! Ergg-"

>>-Need a bit of A- ERRGG, HAND here!<<

Swoop felt the spikes of Jailbreak's grill starting to puncture his chin as he was trying to push the truck away from stabbing his face fully. "EERRRGGGGGGG!!!" shouted Swoop as he pushed as hard as he could. For a Dinobot, he wasn't the strongest of them all. He almost felt helpless. No! I need to fight! I am NOT going out by some random 'Con!

Swoop then quickly curled his body as he then pushed his legs up with as much force as he could muster under this water-enclosed battlefield. Doing this he ended up throwing Jailbreak off of him over his head. Energon leaking out of Swoop's chin and now his chest from the spikes stabbing his chest slightly during the flip. He was glad the truck didn't have enough time to land spikes-first on him before being flipped off of him. He could've been impaled in the chest, or worse yet his fuel-line. That would've most certainly resulted in death.

Swoop was about to transform into pterosaur mode, but remembered the water was not a good place for such a form. He decided to instead; with chin and chest bleeding energon, pull out his energo-sword and ready himself for a fight. The water around the blade heat up and began bubbling and boiling as he held his own to see what the truck would do next.

Bottom of Yellow Sea:

BAM! Jailbreak landed hard on his roof, bending some of the roll-cage bars over his windows ust by the weight of the impact of being thrown off Swoop's body. Transforming back into Robot Mode, Jailbreak, was on his back in the mud, looking at the pterosaur upside-down and drawing his energon sword.

The weapon flaired and the sea water around it came to an instant boil. There was however something else. Something in the water, dark purple fluid drifting from the wounded Dinobot. This brought about a grin that cut across Jailbreak's face like a razor wound.

"Ya know... For a second, I was hoping it was gonna be Grimlock. Guess I gotta settle for the half-rooster instead." Jailbreak rolled himself quickly onto his chest and took a sprinter's stance before kicking off the sea floor and charging full run at the swords-bot who threatened to cut him in two.

It didn't help much that Jailbreak's shoulder actuator was starting to fry. Salt-water and circutry dont mix, and right now Jailbreak was feeling that all to readily, it seemed like he was experiencing perpetual feedback from the joint, and that sudden crash with Swoop didn't help matters.

He did know however beating on that Dinobot was gonna make his day so much better.

"Ya heard what I said?! HALF-ROOSTER!?"

Feet landing hard on coral and mud, pressing forward, Jailbreak looked at the fissure he had just driven out of. It would be a shame if Landgrab missed all the fun. That was ok by Jailbreak though, because he was about to bring him a party favour.

"Roosters can still peck," said Swoop as Jailbreak stupidly charged at him.

As soon as Jailbreak was in extremely close proximity, Swoop jumped to Jailbreak's left side. He quickly jutted his sword out in front of Jailbreak's messed up arm, cutting it clean off as Jailbreak was flying closer and closer back to the crevice.

"I'm not done with you," said Swoop as he grabbed Jailbreak by a vehicle part that was held on his back in reserve for transformation. The combination of Jailbreak being slightly heavier, and the momentum of velocity pulling Jailbreak after charging at Swoop previously caused Swoop's feet to start to drag on the sea floor as he kept his hold on Jailbreak's back.

"GRAAAH!!! DUMB DINOBOTS CAN'T STOP ME!!"

The mechanical Tyrannosaur’s jaws held on tightly as Devastator lifted his right leg up before bringing it down again, slamming his giant foot into the seafloor. The force of the impact dislodged Grimlock’s powerful bite, flinging the Dinobot Commander away from the Constructicon gestalt. The robotic T. Rex slid to a halt in the grimy muck of the seabed, pieces of green metal stuck between his razor-sharp teeth.

Grimlock transformed back to robot mode and immediately got back up to a standing position, his sword brought to bare. Through the muddled waters between himself and the combiner, Grimlock could see Devastator plunge the enormous drill head that still protruded from his left arm deep into the seafloor. The result sent a ton of debris and sediment through the water in a swirling vortex around the gestalt’s left arm. Some of the debris hit Snarl, knocking him back and away from Devastator.

Grimlock let out a deep groan of not only anger but annoyance as he surveyed the battlefield, taking note of the new Decepticons that had recently arrived to aid their combiner ally. “Me thinks this Devastator not as tough as he seems if he need other ‘Cons to help him,” the rex-former growled to himself as he circled around to the back of the gestalt once more, keeping away from the massive drill head and the debris-filled vortex in the process.

>>"Hardhead to Grimlock, heard you were smashing cons heads in, thought you could use an extra gun."<<

The unexpected comm came at a good time even if Grimlock did not want to admit it. Unlike the other Autobots that were infiltrating the Alpha Dome, Hardhead was a very tough warrior in his own right with incredible strength and durability. Some would say Hardhead was just as tough as any of the Dinobots. Grimlock would beg to differ, of course. Regardless, the rex-former could not deny the war veteran’s power and capabilities on the field of battle. The Dinobot commander opened a channel back to the newly arrived Autobot warrior:

>>”Indeed, we are, Hardhead. Target the other ‘Cons who are approaching. Keep them busy while me bring down big Constructicon dimwit.”<<

Cutting his comm line, Grimlock refocused on the green combiner. After taking a moment to consider his options, the Dinobot leader put his sword away and rushed forward towards the back of Devastator’s right leg once more, grabbing a hold of it with both hands as he came within reach. Grimlock then began to climb up the back of the leg until he had reached the connector joint that linked Scrapper with Long Haul. Holding on to the leg with his left hand, Grimlock drew out his sword with the other hand and swiftly plunged it directly into the connection joint with as much force as he could possibly muster.

“Time to literally chop you down, Devastator!!” Grimlock roared as he twisted the blade of his energo-sword around in the gestalt’s joint with the hope of forcing it apart and finally toppling the combiner before then finishing him off!

Meanwhile, Snarl picked himself up off the seafloor and took notice as to what Grimlock was attempting to do. Keeping his distance from the giant drill head and accompanying vortex of debris, the Desert Warrior took aim once again with both his missile launcher and long-range laser rifle, opening fire at Devastator’s cranial unit in order to keep him disoriented while Grimlock tried again to take him apart piece by piece.

A spider was Grimlock like. An annoying arachnid he was more like than a Tyrannosaurus Rex. Devastator knew he was trying to disconnect his joint. It was just a matter of how to deal with this unfortunate circumstance that was the question. Even Devastator knew that drilling the rear of his own leg was probably not the smartest idea. Devastator replaced the drill back with his fist.

"FRAG YOU, DINOBUTTS," shouted Devastator before he then plunged his Bonecrusher fist behind his leg where he felt Grimlock's disgusting form climbing. If he were to knock himself down, he was determined to at least cause fatal damage to Grimlock's excuse for a face in the process.

Bottom of the Yellow Sea

"Roosters can still peck"

Jailbreak's outreached arm was suddenly outpacing the rest of his body. The cut was so clean it took more time than he could possibly be comfortable with before he realized that sensors were going wild with feedback with the damage, energon floating out of the wound as the limb fell to the ground, crashing and sinking into the ocean floor's muddy bottom.

There was pain as Jailbreak flew forward towards the Dinobot that caused the grievous injury, pain and rage. "Oh, THAT'S IT! I'm gonna make you eat your own spark-case, ya winged lemon! I'm gonna re-arrange your finish that they'll need schismatics to identify the wreckage! I'M GONNA DEMANUFACTURE YOU!!!"

With his one arm he reached out to Swoop. He desperately wanted to get a hold of this reptilian bird and make him extinct. The problem was Swoop was far more agile than he was, and easily twisted past Jailbreak's grip, twisting around in a singular motion sending Jailbreak stumbling forward to the ledge of the crevasse that he had just escaped from.

"I'm not done with you,"

There was a sudden resistance to Jailbreak's forward momentum. The strain on his back, ripping out his stack-pipe as Swoop dug himself in deep, stopping Jailbreak's fall.

This dirty reptile had gotten his grubby digits on Jailbreak, and Jailbreak was still 'mildly upset' about the loss of his arm, and the leaking energon from the wound. He could feel the powerful grip of his foe, and maybe for an instant was concerned about that energon blade finding it's way through his back and out his chest. If he was gonna get out of this, he had to get a little more drastic.

He could do that.

With his only remaining arm, he reached for his back, taking hold of something... He didn't know what. Firm grip, he broke out a weak smile. "Ok ya buzzard. You wanna fly?"

Jailbreak suddenly threw his legs straight to lift whatever he got a hold of, bending over forward quickly.

"LET'S FLY!"

Throwing himself with whatever he was holding onto into the chasm, it looked like he might be bringing Landrab a present after all. If only his optics would stop fading every few nanos...

Swoop's arm was in Jailbreak's grubby grasp. Fraggin dammit. This idiot won't give up, huh? Jailbreak's grip was so tight. It felt physically obvious that he was giving it all he had. Cute. Jailbreak's pull was so strong it felt almost as if Swoop's arm was going to be dislocated. The utter power and momentum Jailbreak expressed was particularly amazing, considering the fact that it was probably gonna cost Jailbreak his life.

The intense weight of Jailbreak was bringing both of them down at a quick momentum. They were falling too fast. Swoop couldn't cut Jailbreak's other hand off because Swoop was finding himself crashing into the walls of the chasm and painfully scraping his wings. It was hopeless. Time to let gravity do its work.

Swoop escaped Jailbreak's grasp shortly before they hit the floor. Swoop ended up landing directly on his foot, which in turn utterly destroyed his leg's structure due to the impact. The pain was horrible. Swoop was nearly incapacitated by it. Swoop let out a series of low yelps out of his mouth.

...Then, Swoop noticed the bit lug known as Landgrab down there with the two. That look in its optics made Swoop wonder what types of dressings he was thinking of covering Swoop in before devouring him. Swoop however wasn't going to go down without a fight at least. Though, fighting was an extremely hard thing to do at this point.

Bottom of the Yellow Sea

The impact was horrendous as Jailbreak crashed right beside Swoop at the bottom of the crevasse, kicking up more mud and dirt in the water, the fading glow of his optics mimicked the glow of the energon flowing out from his joints, sparks flying out from the servos forced through enormous pressure of water and shock from the repeated risks. Feedback. That's all he was getting, the signals of shorts and missing connections through out his body, Jailbreak could only bite down trying not to give the satisfaction to that damned bird.

His only arm tried to reach out, he saw his hand had been bend back, the joints in his fingers forced backwards, wires and servos exposed to salt water. Watching Swoop begin to stand, that pain gave way to anger.

<<4...>>

Hatred. He wasn't going down like this. Not while that Dinobot was still standing!

<<3...>>

No! More time! Give me more time! I can do it! I have to do it! Not to some rooster! Not like this!

<<2...>>

His broken hand lay in the sea floor, forcing his single arm to try and drag his enormous frame forward, onward to the fight!

Blaster took cover with Scoop, unsure of what Decepticons may lay within the dome when they got a piece of news that seemed both parts good luck and bad. The Decepticons were reinforcing their troops in their efforts against the Dinobots. Hopefully, though, that maybe meant that they had not yet noticed his team.

"Well Blaster, it doth appear that we will have to rely on our creator's good graces a touch longer. With reinforcements on the proverbial ground, our task must be expedited. No doubt they have procedures in place to wipe our target. We must move towards a logical access terminal post haste."

“That was a given in any case, Scoop, my mech,” Blaster commented, glancing tentatively out from their cover. It was a moment more before Scoop pointed to a large central building. Their mark. Blaster followed Scoop’s little ducking and dodging maneuver from cover to cover as the team made their way through hostile territory.

Before Landgrab could even put any of his limited skillset to work accomplishing what Flamewar had in mind, his specially programmed sensors registered a Decepticon with critically-low functional levels. Not far lay the Autobot, or rather the Dinobot, that was surely responsible.

When he arrived at the mech's side, he saw that it was Jailbreak, the mech from before that he had tossed back into the thick of the fighting. In retrospect, it might not have been the wisest choice on his part, but again, he was very unlikely to argue with a fellow Decepticon on their chosen course of action--particularly in the heat of battle. And so this was the result. But when 'Cons went up against Dinobots, this was frequently the result. Many Decepticons in times past had wound up in similar states. Landgrab had no doubt there would be many more to come. Unless this new "Devastator" creation finally finished them off.

When Landgrab patched in to the Decepticon, he saw that stasis lock had already set in and energon levels were at a beyond-critical 0.0021% and falling. Landgrab initiated an emergency energon infusion, but it likely would only do the most minimal of good until Jailbreak could be seen by a more skilled technician and medic than he.

"Tackling a Dinobot head-on? That's gonna get you a medal, heh," Landgrab chuckled, mostly to himself since the stasis-ed mech surely couldn't hear him. He then transformed into his mobile repair bay alt-mode and started to load the Decepticon aboard.

Grimlock remained focused on dismantling Devastator’s leg joint in the hopes of finally bringing the gestalt down. Unfortunately, that would still be denied him as the green combiner replaced his giant drill bit with a left hand and swung it around behind him in an attempt to knock the Dinobot Commander off the back of his right leg. Grimlock quickly pulled his sword out of the joint and leapt from the combiner’s limb just as one of the huge knuckles grazed the rex-former’s left wing. The strike caused him to spin around and ultimately land on his back in the muck of the seafloor.

“Fraggit!” Grimlock yelled, still holding on to his energo sword. He quickly got back to a standing position and glared up at the green giant. This strategy wasn’t working. Whether the rex-former wanted to admit it or not, Devastator was simply too big and durable for only two Dinobots to bring down alone. The other three were currently engaged with Decepticon reinforcements while Snarl was still fighting the gestalt, firing rockets at Devastator’s cranial unit, but even that had done little damage to the Constructicon combiner.

“Snarl, time for something different!” Grimlock bellowed as he rushed towards the Desert Warrior.

“We calling in reinforcements?” Snarl asked as he paused his assault on Devastator.

“No, we can handle this ourselves.”

“But, Grimlock, just two of us can’t fight this thing!”

“Two of us not needed,” the Dinobot Commander corrected his subordinate. “Just me! Now, after me transform, grab me tail and throw me at Devastator’s head!”

“Say what? You crazy!” Snarl exclaimed. “Let’s just call for more ‘Bots to handle other ‘Cons. Then all five of us Dinobots can focus on Devastator!”

“Just do what me tell you, Snarl!” Grimlock ordered as he swiftly transformed into his Tyrannosaurus Rex alt mode and swung his tail in the Desert Warrior’s direction. “Now, throw me!!”

“You insane!” Snarl shouted as he grabbed a tight hold of Grimlock’s tail with both hands. “If this not work, me calling for more ‘Bots! Me not let your ego get us all in trouble like with Shockwave!”

“Grrrr...FINE! Have it your way! Now, do what me say!” Grimlock retorted as a reluctant Snarl pulled with all of his might and swung his commander around and around several times, gaining momentum, before letting go of the Dinobot leader’s tail, which propelled the mechanical Tyrannosaur, head first, directly up at the combiner’s own cranial unit!

“Prepare to die, Devastator! Arrrrrggghhhhh!!!!!!” Grimlock roared as the distance between himself and his giant adversary rapidly grew shorter and shorter. The rex-former’s jaws were wide open and ready to bite down into the faceplate of the Constructicon gestalt.

"Warwolf, a group of three Autobots have reached the dome. Take Cloudbreaker and Misfire. Kill them. Or at least hold them at bay until I arrive. Go now."

Behind his face mask, Warwolf grinned a great toothy smile as he tightened the grip on his sword. A small bounce in his step was quickly followed by the lupine interrogator transitioning into his bestial Form.

"C'mon then, Bullet-hose! And if you end up shooting me, I'll devour your spark and wear your wings like a coat!" Warwolf called out as his wolf-like legs began to kick up speed and he rocketed from the room. A thunderous series of howls following in a tune of a warcry echoed the corridor as he made his way to the Autobot's position.

"I uh, think he was referring to you, there." Cloudbreaker spoke up to Misfire as he took pursuit of his fellow swashbuckling companion.

Bottom of the Yellow Sea

The crack forming below Sludge's feet worked its magic at destabilizing the Decepticon advance... a little... but the resulting change in pressure was something Sludge had not allocated for. For the most part he couldn't understand why it happened, it usually works great when he uses it on land, but now it's turned into a giant cracked vacuum. Even with his immense weight helping hold him back from falling into the crevice, the apotosaurus could feel his massive stompers slowly get sucked into the crack in the seafloor. He had just found his footing when something broke through the muck in the "air" and latched to his neck.

"GWAH!" Sludge screamed as he tried to scan down to find what hit him. Skullcruncher! That crocodilian crook! The jungle warrior swung his neck about wildly in an attempt to shake off the Decepticon but found no luck in the process. "Stupid Decepticon! Let go of Sludge's neck!" The Apotosaurus swung his neck around violently in an attempt to shake off Skullcruncher, unbeknownst to him that his own massive tail was now being swung into mix.

-

Blitzwing's treads continued to carve through the seafloor muck and coral as he continue to chase off into the battle. Ah good, so the puppycon was going after the residential bird-brain of the Dinobot's team, that left as few other for Blitzwing to play with. But who should be his next victim? Oh there's Grimlock down the way, fighting Devastator with the spiky way lending a hand. Switching to his far faster jet mode, the commando rocketed himself through the sea towards Grimlock's current position. What was that lizard-brained Autobot trying to do? Looks like Snarl was preppering to toss him at the Constructicons, well not if Blitzwing had anything to say about it!

"Oh. No. You. DON'T!!" Blitzwing roared as he shifted into his robot mode, his scimitar drawn and ready to attack. His timing was off however, only arriving just a moment shy of Snarl releasing Grimlock from his toss. The commando gritted his teeth as he took a swing at the desert warrior.

"-who, me?" asked Misfire.

"I uh, think he was referring to you, there," Cloudbreaker spoke.

"You mean even if I say I'm sorry, Warwolf?" Misfire smirked and then transformed into his Cybertronian gunner jet and took off toward said location. If he had any chance of being accurate at shooting, it would be with his alt mode.

Quickly Misfire found himself within firing range of the Autobots in question. Misfire figured it best to release a good barrage of ammunition on the enemy before his team-mates could get within friendly fire range. Especially since it's such an enclosed space.

*stttttttttttttt* went Misfire's deployable miniguns as he flew over who he assumed was Blaster and a couple others. He couldn't see them well because of his speed and focus on spilling firepower. Just gotta hit something.

After spraying bullets for a bit, Misfire was hit by- something. Misfire didn't exactly know what, but he knew it was probably a 'Bot's fault. "HOW DARE YOU!" His wing was hit, so flying would be a challenge at this point.

Misfire transformed and flipped on his hand behind a counter. "Triggerhappy would love this!" he said with glee before popping up and throwing a grenade that he picked up in the Thanatos artillery chamber.

The Dinobot maneuver was one that none of the Constructicons were prepared to encounter. It was the first time any of them had ever seen Autobot strike force try something like that. Devastator's mind was filled with an array of frenzied and surprised shouts and and screams, but they had little else they could do to react in time.

The Dinobot t-rex crashed directly into the gestalt's upper torso and head, his massive jaws clamping down on his cranium as the weight and momentum of the other Bot forced Devastator to stagger backwards, lose his footing and ultimately crash backward into the rocky surface of the sea wall nearby, sending a cloud of silty debris everywhere.

"Dinobot leader dies first!" Devastator roared, prying Grimlock's jaws away from his now damaged head and upper shoulder before proceeding to try and rip the Dinobot in half by forcing his jaws apart while Blitzwing attempted to intercept Snarl.

When his long-time friend latched onto the neck of the Dinobot Sludge, Weirdwolf could only shake his head and let out a low chuckle. The Dinobot’s subsequent thrashing added to his own amusement. Only Skullcruncher would be so brash. Ah.

“Suppose I do that I too enter the fray should,” he muttered to himself, transforming into wolf mode and launching himself up high above Sludge.

Changing mode once again, Weirdwolf drew his sword with a delighted sneer splitting his faceplate. “And now…” As his momentum shifted downward, he braced himself, pointing his sword directly at Sludge. “What up goes, down must come. Heh. Hah!”

Picking up speed, Weirdwolf plunged down toward Sludge’s back, set on impaling the blade into the Dinobot’s back.

”Oh, I’mphll lreet rrgo awrlrrright...” Skullcruncher growled with his jaws full of the giant Dinobot’s neck. Despite of Sludge’s trashing about, it was relatively easy for him to hang on having locked his powerful jaws – his most lethal weapon - on the enemy. These Dinobots were strong but Skullcruncher was no slouch on that department either and here, they were in his domain. Even slower than on land, losing what little agility they had due to the water pressure. Not Skullcruncher though. This environment suited him better than well. He preferred being in the water where his alternative form was at its most dangerous.

Bit by bit Sludge’s armor plating gave in under the pressure of Skullcruncher’s jaws. The crocodilian’s teeth cut deeper, his grip tightening the more Sludge struggled about. A feebled attempt. Perhaps on land Sludge could have shaken him off. Perhaps that tail swing could have been powerful enough to make the Decepticon let go if the water hadn’t taken most of its power away. But here? It was Skullcruncher’s playground. The more the sauropod struggled, the deeper Skullcruncher’s teeth cut.

And to show his superiority here, Skullcruncher wasn’t going to take more of this thrashing about. Swinging his own tail, he put centric forces to play – enter a crocodile death roll. It was obvious Sludge would not going to roll with him in his dinosaur mode, he was far too heavy for that. But that was not Skullcruncher’s intention. Sludge’s whole body wasn’t as thick as the concentration of his bulk. Particularly the part Skullcruncher had sunk his teeth it. Something was bound to give in... bound to break...

CRACK

Something like... Sludge’s dino neck.
