Season 1 Release - Viewing experience?

It occurred to me today while watching Prime....in the DVD/Blu-ray release of TF Prime, are there any edits to make the episode smoothly play out? The dramatic commercial cuts work well for TV, but they do it for like, every commercial. It's really kinda lost its effect even while live. I feel like that would get old quite fast when watching it on blu-ray.

Is there any fades or editing? Or are there a few frames of black where the commercials would be?
