Awesome, I just decided to read...all of Seeds of Deception a week ago and decided to comment here, it's great! It's also kind of refreshing not to focus on Optimus Prime for once.
Can't wait for more.

Also, how's the singular Combiner thing going? With King Predator and the like?

Hey, I forgot to comment this one!
We're using the War Within continuity, where Ratbat remains an independent, full-sized mech: our story will be a prequel about his life (and his secrets) during the Golden Age.
A horrific tale, with sinister characters, murders and more ^^

Ratbat's future, as seen in Devastation, is somewhat belittled by a role as a scout, but he's still independent from Soundwave (see EJ Su' redesign!).

Oh ok, that makes sense I guess. So reasons like that are why Ultra Impactor is different from normal Impactor?

More or less: there's another subplot behind the Impactor thing

When Tailgate mentions his job during the Nova Prime age, he talks about an off-world peace-keeping force, which happens to be the same concept that we described for the same age in SoD: Omega Supreme, page 9.
