I just started playing a couple of weeks ago on PC, and my user name is XStream. I have really enjoyed playing through the campaign, and have thoroughly enjoyed being fragged in MP.

I have lurked the site for a few years now. I was looking around to see if I saw anything about War for Cybertron, and came across your thread.

How long have you been playing? Any tips? The community seems to be pretty tough. Everything I have read says to just hang in there until you level up high enough to be competive.

Okay...

The community is extremely tough, don't try to challenge the higher ranks at first, go for the least experienced ones

Reduce the texture and resolution to as low as it can go, it'll improve your gameplay and stop the screen from freezing.

Plus there are a few hidden spots to snipe off enemies. And I'll show them to you. in the game...what you others think I was gonna reveal my hideouts?

and last but not least, find your class. My best one is the Soldier class with Scout, Scientist, and Leader following it. If you prefer to blast everything in sight and smash everyone to smithereens then a Soldier is for you.
If you would rather sneak around undetected and snipe and backstab opponents then the Scout is for sure for you.
You might perhaps prefer to be a medic, helping others and setting up defences then the Scientist is your exact match.
And finally if you want to be a brawler who demoloshes everyone in his path, clearing the way for others, then choose the leader

Thanks for the tips! The game has been awesome, but I haven't had a lot of time to play recently. I am taking a summer course to try and finish my degree. I don't think I will play until Friday night. I will add you and maybe you can show me around sometime.

I think I prefer the scout so far with a leader possibly after that. Scientist has been kind of tough for me, and tanks are too slow for my taste. This is the first PC game I have bought (besides SIM CITY and the like)... Oh wait, and the PC Beast Wars game (wow, that was crap). I just couldnt resist the story of War For Cybertron. Had to play it. I can't wait for FoC, I just hope my laptop can handle it.
