Arcade Heroes is reporting that Sega will be testing a new Transformers arcade game in China over the weekend. The new game, which is likely a light-gun style shooter, is titled Transformers: Human Alliance. No word on if the game will be coming Stateside, but naturally we'll be keeping an eye on it's development.

Arcade Heroes wrote:According to the scant info about the game so far, it’s a shooting game where humans (presumably the player) fight alongside the Autobots to save the planet. Also it can be presumed that means it’s a light-gun game, which would make this the first licensed light-gun game Sega has done since Rambo. However you never know, there is a small possibility that shooter could mean the STG kind too, which is more popular in that area of the world. It is also the first time I am aware of that the Transformers will have their own specific video arcade game; there was the pinball machine by Stern otherwise.

Let me put an image in your head.
Riding in the back of Ironhide, shooting at Bonecrusher as he chases you down the highway, changing from robot to vehicle and back to attack you with everything from parts of cars to snapping at you with his pinchers.
You eventually do enough damage and he transforms and leaps towards you, he gets to close for confort, than optimus arives and lands a face-smashing punch and they both fly off the side of the freeway...
Mission Complete.
Make it like time crises but with transformers and better graphics, please please please!

It'd be cool if this was translated, and then released on consoles and PC here in the States.

Generic forgetful ad with little to no effort put into it, no soundtrack, voice acting, very little gameplay wich SHOULD be the highlight, bland setpieces and PS2 graphics really seal the deal here. Who knows, it COULD turn out really good and extremely fun, but Its going to take alot for this to even become somewhat appealing to me after such a bland teaser.

So basically, it's that insanely difficult Jurassic Park game that always gets me on the first level except with Transformers? Huh.

In other words, it's a teaser trailer. ;)

The barest of the bare minimum, didn't hype me for a second. They should have waited to put out a teaser, waited until they had more to show.

An announcement trailer, then?

Makes me think of those quick shots in DOTM that puts you in the POV of one of the NEST soldiers. Once during the entrance to the Chernobyl reactor core, and again during the fight against Sentinel himself.

For an arcade game, this isn't something you buy, this is something you throw some change in at a restaurant/ arcade/ whatever to kill some time.

Considering the fact that there is only one place reasonably close by to me where they will have this game and it's guaranteed that it will be priced at a dollar per player to play this (minimum), then toss in the fact that the graphics are only so-so for an arcade game AND they couldn't even find a passable VA for Prime in the game... not happening. Besides which, my wallet is still trying to recover from my kids and I hitting up the arcade/fun-plex last month.
I would have expected better from Sega in a full size arcade style game but honestly my kids have better looking games for their 360.

This looks like one of those games that costs like 8 tokens to play and you get neutralized in two minutes. I stopped going to arcades when the only game left that was still a quarter was pac-man.
