Why don't external links generated in posts contain the target="_blank" attribute? Don't you lose a lot of traffic without that?

Also the site is really slow in China. I have to wait for all the embedded social networking APIs to timeout before the page will load.

That's a great suggestion, Paul. I've modified the code so that links will open up in new windows. At some point, I'll modify it so that it only does that with external links but for now all links will open in a new window.

I'm assuming it's the Facebook window in the bottom of the right hand column near the caption contest. Are you able to access Facebook in China? Could also be all of the Google based ads that are on the site as well. I heard that Google was blocked in China again last week so perhaps that could be an issue.

That's awesome, thanks. I usually post in the KO thread with links to my album of new funny KOs I find in China. I was feeling bad that when people click on my links and go to my site in the current window, they might forget to go back.

yeah, fb and twitter are blocked here. They compete with some Chinese social networking sites, lol. google stuff seems to be ok, I think china intermittently slows down google here though.

I've developed sites that needed to work inside china as well, one solution was to load all the social networking stuff after the onload event, not sure if all functions can work that way though. or putting some things in iframes,

Usually, when I'm posting and I hit "download attachment" I click on the file I want and the picture is displayed in the post. Other times, however, in following the exact same process the only thing I can get to appear in the post is a box surrounded by a dotted line with the file size and "not downloaded yet" printed on it. One actually has to click on the link to view the pic, which is kind of schlocky.

Why does this randomly happen?

Preaching to the choir. The Lexington, NC Wal-Mart location listed on this site has been closed for about 10 years now and a Wal-Mart SuperCenter was built less than a mile away. Despite my numerous times of informing them of the change, nothing's happened. I've even tried to add the Thomasville, NC Wal-Mart SuperCenter location, but still I've seen nothing.

Well I've spoken with several people who I see regularly at the toys r us I'm trying to add, and they've mentioned they also visit this site. I'm just trying to help out the collectors in my area.

WOW. :P

So is anyone else having issues staying signed in? I have to keep seibertron open in another window to stay signed in, and have to sign in every visit. Note that Ive only really been using my PS3, so this could be Sony's fault. .

Is the forum ever gonna fix the fact that the "last unread post" button on any given thread only works if the thread is only one page long? On any other thread, it goes to the very first post, period.
