Been noticing that one of the ads on the site is for a Russian dating site. Nothing XXX rated but the girl is dressed rather suggestively.

Those are the Google suggested ads.

From what I can remember Ryan can adjust them.

But they do tend to be based on what you've been searching for ... soooooo ...

For some reason, every email notification I receive for replies to the Takara Tomy Masterpiece MP-21 Bumblebee Discussion thread comes out looking like this:
x¥SMk1íY¿bðÁ…à8˜Æ1˜”RJ{H(Ä)ô(ɳÞÁZÍ¢/þ÷•1¶¡…6ÝÃ"‰™7Oï=}%xÑ&§78Rê'gh‘ö¸TSl490huŽÎïB§“Éo¥!qKvƒµÞé aÍÍA=é˜0´$Pðô}|7ƒO¹1
"|¦hsŒÄ~

And yet, it's only for email notifications pertaining specifically to just that thread. Email notifications I get for all other threads come out looking normal like these:

It is very bizarre that it's only the ones for the MP Bumblebee thread that end up being rendered in gobbledygook.

I've been double posting much more frequently than usual lately. It used to only hppen every couple of months, but now it's intermittent, even gicing me two copies of a new topic I made in the forums. I'm not doing anything differently, so I don't know what could be causing it on my end.

Is that the problem you're reporting?

Posting a test message to verify notifications are working after resolving an inherent problem with phpBB and how it handles automated (cron) tasks. Thanks to Dion Designs for the solution.

http://forum.dion-designs.com/t9062/rem ... 7653c882b8

Can you guys post a test message so that I can verify that notifications are being sent?

Also, can someone send me a private message so I can verify that those notifications are being sent?

I'm all set! Sabrblade helped me test it out ... I think we're good to go. Hopefully this modification will fix the slow down caused by phpBB's poor cron system by moving those automated tasks into an actual cron job that I set up to run every 5 minutes on the server. Fingers crossed! Everything seems to be working seamlessly well. :D

Can you guys reply to this topic again? I just discovered that I didn't upload one of the scripts that I modified the other day. I'd like to verify that everything is still all good.

If someone can send me a PM as well to verify that is working, I would greatly appreciate it. I'll post here once I verify that I received a private message.

Thanks in advance!!!

Duragrip is weird.

You wanted replies, they don't necessarily have to be on topic. :P

No they don't! Seems like reply notifications are working. I'm assuming you guys received a notification for my post.

Can you guys send me a private message so that we can verify that is working?

I also updated the automated cron tasks to run every minute instead of every 5. Seems like everything is all good. :D

Often, it's a Email site thing. Seibertron seem to be incompatible with Outlook, but it work perfectly with Gmail.

This isn't as much a problem as it's a suggestion...

Basically, some of the members have taken to hotlinking for illustration purposes. But more often than not, the image does not show up thanks to hot linking countermeasures (yet it does on the linker thanks to the browser cache).
Would it be a good idea to make a list of sites whose images should not be linked to, due to things like countermeasures? TFU.info and tformers.com have such measures in place, yet not everyone knows that.

A strange thing just happened that has me concerned.

I was reading through an old thread just for fun and, upon clicking to Page 2 of the thread, was brought first to the intended page, but then Page 2 suddenly changed. It instantly redirected itself to the following webpage without my clicking on anything at all - http://consumernews247.com/brains/index ... om&dtd=242

What's more is that this has happened before, with a Seibertron webpage suddenly switching to the webpage of some other business website. But this time was the first that I was able to catch one of the web addresses before losing it (I'd usually just click the Back button and Refresh the page before trying again, getting rid of the unwanted ad page). What might be causing this?

I'd be inclined to say it's something on your system that's causing the redirection.

What was the thread you were looking at?

I linked to it.

I also ran a scan of my computer that detected no threats.
