This probably isn't a problem, but does the site's clock adjust for dst? It doesn't really bother me, but it does mess with times things are posted and what not, so I figured I'd ask here

Look under "Board Preferences" in your User Control Panel. See if that helps.

Once it's set it should adjust automatically for you...maybe...don't really know. DST isn't something I have to deal with.

Never auto-adjusted for me. Always had to do it manually.

It's still happening to me. My notifications aren't coming until hours later. I still haven't gotten my latest ones despites several new posts in topics I post in.

Mine seems to be working regularly now. Getting my notifications on time. Maybe some temporary glitches left over?

Now that you mention it, this is happening for me as well, but only for a single thread of mine (which I myself even started) that doesn't show in my "View your posts" page. All other threads I've posted in show up, but not that one.

So I woke up in the middle of the night and decided to check out the site....and was greeted by the "Kremzeek" website down page. This hasnt been the first time Ive seen this in about a month's time. I am by no means a computer tech guy. But I cant help wonder why this site is the only site I use that is always having issues. Like I said before, Im no tech expert, but ive got a solution. Whatever this site is using....get rid of it. Whatever TFW2005 is using, get it. That site never seems to have issues, at least when ever I visit it. Honestly, I like Seibertron better because it is more user friendly and I know people. But seeing the site down 2 or more times a month is a bit discouraging. Its time to upgrade whatever makes this site stay live to a system thats more reliable.

I know that I was in the middle of trying to send a pm at 3am locally this morning, and the entire sight became unavailabe. Couldn't link to anything, the site wouldn't load, couldn't log off... Been the first time in a while that that has happened, used to happen a couple times a night.

Unless you're monitoring TFW2005 24/7/365 then I don't think you can say "never seems to have issues".

It's a lot more complicated than just saying "upgrade". And honestly, servers get glitchy at random times.

I dont monitor TFW2005 24-7 but I do check it out at least once a day and have never seen it down. Im not saying it has never been down, as I stated before I have never seen it down. Youre right servers have a lot of glitches. I dont know anything about servers but I would put them on the same level as cell phone and cable providers. When youre paying for a service thats constantly experiencing "technical difficulties" then switching providers might be an option worth considering. Lets take Funpub for example. Every year they go through the same drama with their Botcon and TFSS registrations, but they just cant seem to let go of their crappy server. Must be one hell of a good price they pay. When was the last time youve ever seen BBTS offline. If never seen it. They must have a pretty good server.

Weve talked about this one before and you said you avoid using your cell phone on this site. As the world becomes more and more dependant on smart phones, that seems like something that should be dealt with. I find myself going on this site at the most unlikely times when I have 5 minutes to enjoy myself and usually no laptop computer is present. These times include but are not limited to:

*Waiting in line at the grocery store
*Waiting to clock out at work
*Waiting for my food at a restaurant
*Sitting on the toilet
*In bed when I cant sleep

With that being said, outside of my work office I rarely view this site from a conventional computer. I often use notepad to type a comment that way I can just paste it on the comment box in one shot. But that is annoying. You should really look into fixing this issue.

FYI, the site down problem occurred again at the same time. Ryan suspects it may be a backup process, I'll be checking it again tonight and pegging the time down for him to investigate it further.

It's occurring for me with two topics I created.

Also, I haven't received any more email notifications since this morning of new posts in threads I've posted in, despite there having been plenty of new posts made in them throughout the day.

What are the problems you are experiencing? If you posted them earlier, just let me know that and I'll dig more through the past couple of pages when I return from London on this business trip. I'm on limited internet connectivity and poor hotel connection at the moment so it's challenging to navigate the internet while overseas at the moment.

Where are you experiencing this issue at? Is it from your user profile or somewhere specific? I looked up a user's posts earlier today from his profile, which worked fine. Perhaps there's a bad link or something somewhere that needs to be corrected of which I'm unaware.
