The ones that you no longer follow you will need to unsubscribe to.

Yes, and the notification e-mail from this thread came in blank too.

(P.S. Thanks for your work on this, Seibertron. I know programming can be frustrating at times.)

It should be working correctly now. Please let me know if you are continuing to receive errors. Thanks.

Ah, I see the difference. I just tested your change. Indeed, if I connect from a computer where I am not already logged in and use your new link that finishes "=unread#unread" I get the first page. If I click the other link, then I get the login screen and and then proceed to the topic, right at the first new post. Awesome!

Thank you, Sir!

Is it a bug or I am doing something wrong?

Thanks to your post, I spent most of my day today rolling out a slew of changes which tackle this problem that has bothered me as well for the past 5 or 6 years.

Your specific issue seems to be a slightly different issue than the one that I resolved. It sounds like your email provider is blocking emails or marking them as SPAM. Any chance you can check your SPAM folder to see if that's the case?

Also, please let me know how you like the changes that I implemented in this news topic: http://www.seibertron.com/transformers/news/new-forum-and-news-section-features-to-help-members-engage-in-discussions-on-seibertron/27245/

No Seibertron mails in my junk folder. If it were possible to totally nuke mails and block them completely, I would have gotten rid of a few spambots by now.

Yes. Getting a lot more emails from Seibertron than I was getting before. Some are for old discussions.

Yes, I got the error today at 4:30 PM (EST)

The email issue seem to be resolved.

I'd like to tanks all the magical gnomes living in the clockwork engine of Seibertron to have repaired all those cogs, gears and springs! ;)

Sorry, while we're on this topic, how exactly would one go about unsubcribing (ie stopping email notifications from) a specific thread, such as, say, the toy haul thread which is doing a good job of flooding my email inbox right about now
Thanks in advance.

At the very bottom of the thread there should be an "Unsubscribe" link.

There is also an unsubscribe link in the notification e-mail.

Cheers!

Oh boy... One last bug to fix about the Email notifications.

Now I have my notifications, but I have them for every single replies in the thread! Meaning, instead of ONE email saying that there's a reply in the "Metroplex image thread" (so I can start with only the first reply after mine) I have FIFTY!!! One for every single reply!

So, hum... that's overkill.

Yes, if there is a way to fix that, it would be great. My mailbox is getting flooded.

You can change this setting by going to your notification settings at http://www.seibertron.com/energonpub/ucp.php?i=boardwatch&mode=boardwatch

Please let us know if you have any additional questions. Thanks.

So, we have to chose between "massive flooding" or "normal"?
I'll take normal all the way.

Thanks for pointing out the new setting.

I get this fairly often when I'm approving posts.

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare boardwatch_draw_acp_prefs() (previously declared in /var/www/vhosts/seibertron.com/httpdocs/energonpub/includes/functions_boardwatch.php:21) in /var/www/vhosts/seibertron.com/httpdocs/energonpub/includes/functions_boardwatch.php on line 42

Hm ... I'm not sure what's causing this exactly. The file that includes the new "board watch" functions must be getting included more than once. I modified the author's code so that it would only include the functions once. Please let me know if you continue having problems. If you do, please let me know how I can duplicate the problem. Thanks.

Duplicating is not a problem. I go to the Moderator Control panel, see which posts are waiting approval. Tick the ones I know are good, open the ones that aren't. Then when I'm happy with what needs approving I click on Approve.

Rough estimate would be it works 1/3 and fails 2/3 times. If I just refresh it goes through fine.

Are you continuing to have problems since I implemented a fix last night?

How can I get in touch with an administrator to help me get my old profile back? It never accepts my old password and reseting it never works either. And now it says I "don't participate enough" to PM Ryan or another administrator to ask for help! It's like I'm not wanted as a member here or something, yet I used to be contributing and as active as it gets. SMH

Haven't had any problems since. Image

Are you able to shoot an e-mail to staff explaining how this works? There's a couple of members who are legit that keep getting caught up.

I'm surprised no one complained about this problem ... for the past couple of weeks, the posting a new post or topic was taking about 15 to 30 seconds. I had enabled a feature to check everyone's IP address against an IP blacklist to help prevent SPAM bots. Apparently this feature kills the speed of posting on phpBB. I disabled this feature and have noticed a incredible speed increase when posting on the forums. If anyone else can confirm that this problem has been resolved for them, I would greatly appreciate the feedback. Thanks!
