I also modified it so that the page that shows up after you post to let you know that your message was successfully posted will refresh in 1 second instead of 3. Let me know how you guys like that.

Seibertron wrote:I'm surprised no one complained about this problem ... for the past couple of weeks, the posting a new post or topic was taking about 15 to 30 seconds. I had enabled a feature to check everyone's IP address against an IP blacklist to help prevent SPAM bots. Apparently this feature kills the speed of posting on phpBB. I disabled this feature and have noticed a incredible speed increase when posting on the forums. If anyone else can confirm that this problem has been resolved for them, I would greatly appreciate the feedback. Thanks!

My internet's always had terrible speed and has been worse recently itself, so I think I just put it down to that-I'll see what happens posting this though.

EDIT: Well, it was certainly better :D
Not great mind you, but as I mentioned my internet speed's always been on the poor side

^Like that, not that I actually counted the seconds, probably should have made that clearer in the original post

Hi! I have a question. Lately I´ve been recieving an email for each comment made in a topic, even the ones I only visit without comenting or commented a while ago.
I already changed my post notification options but since I haven´t done that in a long time and this problem is recent, I assume the settings were changed somehow.

Should I be worried someone hacked into my account? is it my fault for not making any updates in the settings so they changed into a standard? just a glitch?

Thank you very much.

It's a setting I changed. I just changed everyone's settings back to the original default. If people want to change it on their own, they can go back into their settings and modify it accordingly.

Thanks, I had an attack to my gmail account at around the same time this started, so I got a little paranoid. Thanks again.

Screen captures in the Headmasters cartoon data base aren't showing up. All that appears are red X's.

I don't even know why I bother comming back here. This place is a waste land and the owner continues to ignore the problems.

This is not vital, but it would be nice if it get fixed.
I'm talking about the emoticons.

I want to make the "tongue", but all I get is: :P
I wanna make the "super grin", but all I get is:

I will not test them all, but these two I wannaused from times to times and they always come out wrong... :-( (at least, "sad face" work...)

This has been an issue for a while, but I can't remember if it had been reported. The quick fix is to copy the emoticon's URL and paste in IMG tags. Image

The site's clock is about five hours behind. I've got it set to -5 and DST is turned on, but the site's clock says it's 5PM, when it's really 10PM.

Try typing the work citchen(with a k though not a c), for me it changes it to "place to cook food". Am I being punked or what here?

It did to me too. I bet it's just a spambot filter.

It is. There was a wave of "kitchen" spambots, and the filter helped locate them more easily and faster.

Is it safe to finally remove that spamfilter?
What if I want to make a thread about if it's a good idea to display some Transformers above the stove?

Short answer: it's not. Image

Cheers to the crew for getting rid of those huge BH OP & SW and huge Metroplex background pics that loaded in behind (that you only ever saw) when a page was loading. Caused all kinds of display problems on iPad/iPhone where everything was a low res mess. :D

There were huge background pictures?I never noticed.
Glad for you they were removed because indeed, appart from taxing the hardware and bandwith, what's the point?

This is what the collection forum says: 'Share photos of your Transformers collection here in this dedicated forum to showcase our collections.'

You're missing a 'y'.

I'm having outgoing PMs get backed up and apparently never sent. I've had two of the three in my outbox since the weekend.

If they're in your Outbox then they're waiting to be read.

Shoot me a PM, check it, then when I reply (I'll be on again in 2 hours or so) you'll see it move to the sent box.
