Hello.

I posted a problem in the Problem Reporting Thread and this other member got all up in my business and was all "I DON'T BELIEVE THAT IS THE CONTEXT THEY MEANT" and then did the rolly-eyes emoticon to denote exasperation with my stupidity. This has ruined my day.

BC, just stop. I know you like a laugh and we normally let you get a way with it, but there's some threads where it's just not welcome. This is one of them.

You've hurt my feelings. Now if I do experience any problems I'm not going to post out of spite.

The swear filter seems to be shut off. Just thought you'd want to know if you didn't already.

So Im posting this here as I am not sure if there is a proper place for it?

Is it possible to filter the sellers in the Carbombya section to regions of the world, such as U.K. only etc?

This would of course be very helpful if a Seibertronian wanted to buy or trade with a fellow Seibertronian in his or here local area. ;)

To anyone who can help. I tried changing my user name in the user control panel and I type in my current password at the bottom like I'm supposed to, but I keep getting the following message:

The password does not contain the required characters.

Now, I know it's the correct password, because I logged off and then back on using it and I was able to log on without a problem. However, for some reason the system won't recognize my password when I want to change my name. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! :D

EDIT: Nevermind. I figured out what I was doing wrong.

Here's something - whenever I get a message about someone posting a reply, it says I can go to my"first unread post". Pretty normal. Except when I hit that link, it still only takes me to the very last post rather than my first unread.

Not a big deal for me to find the one I haven't read, but I figure it's best if you're aware.

I sometimes get a similar problem, in that when I click to see first unread, or even latest post, on a topic, occasionally I'll be told the topic doesn't exist-but then if I manually go to the page it's definitely there.
Seems to me like a dodgy link but I'm seriously no expert

It's come to my attention that some of the comic, mine included, are really blocking up peoples computers, thusly, not letting them read them. I think that something like TFW2005's imaging system would be really helpful.

Or, I had another idea, for the photo heavy threads in the Photo Blitz forum, you could reduce the number of posts-to-page back to ten, or less.

Why not just use thumbnails linking to the larger images?

Do you want to have to have a lot of tabs open?

I don't read your photocomic anyway so it's no skin off my nose.

BUT ... if I had to choose between opening a bunch of tabs (which I often do anyway) or waiting a while for the page to load, I'd take the tabs.

It would also save endless scrolling to get to others comments.

Okay, fair point.

Not sure if this has been mentioned but when you click the title link to a thread you are taken to the fifth page of that thread rather than the first, but if the thread has less than five pages you are taken to that last page?

I have tried this on several threads and it seems to effecting them all.

Im going to log off, try it again then log back in just to double check. ;)

EDIT:
Sussed it.
This is affected if you are logged on or not, either way is still an issue.
This is only affecting page 2 and onwards.

If you click on a Topic, click on page 2 of that topic then click on a title which has more than one page of posts, you are taken to the last page of that Topic or to page 5 if it has that many!

Have you tried different browsers and gotten the same result?

I've tried duplicating this problem but haven't had any luck, mostly because I was getting confused.

Changing those few words sure helps a lot.

Tested in Firefox - Problem
Tested in Chrome - Problem
Tested in IE - Problem

I'll bring it to Ryan's attention.

I get a 404 when attempting to reply to either of these topics. This doesn't seem to happen with any other topics that I've attempted to reply to, including others in the same sub-forum:

it-is-h/war-lord-beasticons-t91184s250.php
it-is-h/tfc-ares-t94732s325.php

Something is off with those url's. It seems to be putting "it-is-h" in the middle there. These are the correct links.

war-lord-beasticons-t91184s100.php
tfc-ares-t94732.php

When I follow those questionable links I found avatars and some icons missing which is something I noticed the other day but came good shortly after. See if logging out and clearing the cookies help.

Yeah, I noticed that in the URLs too. I don't know what the heck it was, but anyway it appears cleared up now. Thanks :)

Hi just wondering how I can upload pictures in private messages. I have the prompt at the bottom when I write a normal post on the forum but its not there when I write a private message. How can I upload a pic then? Thanks!

You can't upload pictures into pm's like you can with normal forum posts.

So how to get around it? Simple! There are plenty of photo hosting websites out there like Photobucket, or even Facebook (just have to make sure your security settings for that photo are set to public)

Did something change on the Homepage or is it just me. The banner is now a solid burgundy. Has that always been like that or am i imagining it. Cause it looks good. Nice and tidy.

But yeah...no problems to report. Just curious.

Yeah, there's a lot more red everywhere now. Either Ryan did another upgrade, or something funny's going on here.

And it's got me feeling funny too, since when I see red text on websites like I see on here now, it makes me think it's an alert to a problem or a message of urgency or something that's trying to get my attention instead of it just being standard text.

Yeah I'm getting that too! And I know what feeling you're talking about, it's like an uneasy feeling.
