i dont have the scorn for non transforming transformers that most have. and he does look awesome. amazingly awesome.

BUT.

five hundred bucks? seriously? hes the same size as fort max and generations metroplex, they transform, and cost half that. and im betting when those two 3rd party scorponoks hit the market, these things will be even more redundant.

Wow, those new photos look amazing. Here's to hoping they make a Fort Max to go with him.

Wow, that price. Guess what I'm not getting? These. I will not be buying these action figures.

If they were HALF that price, then maybe. But these things have nothing to offer me. There's little justification I'll accept for them being ginormous Action Masters. =; =; =;

They already did. Back in 1987. :P

These are meant to go with the original G1 mold due to their size matching that of that toy. ;)

*SMACK*

What I meant was a fully-poseable "anime proportions" one- G1 Fort Max is great for his time (and goes well with this) but his articulation is nothing to write home about and he's a little...tubby.

So you don't have:

-G1 Action Masters
-PVCs - SCF/Heroes of Cybertron/MyClones
-Robot Heroes
-Attacktix
-statues (Hard Hero)
-busts (Hard Hero)
-Revoltech
-Robot Replicas
-Hero Mashers
-Kreons
-3" Titaniums
-BW 10th Anniversary Transmutate

Thanks to Twitter user lovekagari158, we get a nice long look at the gigantic, officially licensed, non-transforming, highly posable and just all-round fun guy Sentinel Gigantic Action Scorponok! We've mirrored the images below, showing off the size of this mammoth toy and how it compares to predecessors and various class sizes - check them out.

As impressive a piece as this is, and it certainly is, it seems a shame that it doesn't transform. It's not like G1 Scorponok has a terribly complex transformation to begin with. All it woulda taken wad maybe 3 or 4 more joints to at least give him a scorpion mode.

True...but then we probably would have lost the delicious anime proportions.

If only it had been TakaraTomy themselves who made this instead of Sentinel C. Ltd.

Guess we just gotta wait for a MP Scorponok.

There's some with Fort Max on the first two pages of this topic.

i dont harbor the hate for non-TF'ing TF's everyone else does, but the price kills it. for what it is, it feels unjustified. shame though, its beautiful.

Nice detail! What is the brown and green figure being used for size comparison? I don't recognize it.

For that price you'd think they'd give him the ability to bend his elbows forward as well as inward. Yes, I know he has a bicep swivel but what I mean is: he needs a wrist swivel so he doesn't have begging arms.

Here I thought it was going to be like a non-transforming statue; like Fortress Maximus without the transforming. Too bad they want way too much for that monstrosity, or I'd be on board. Although, if it can articulate, it's a shame it doesn't transform at least into scorpion and Lord Zarak modes. I don't think that's asking for too much; the G1 Scorponok isn't very complex..

Yeah. This. For the amount they want, at least let the head Transform.
