I started this thread cuz i reaaallllly enjoy these games as a piece of Transformers fiction. I basically see this series as Halo with transformers, and i think they could get just as much mileage out of it. So what are your ideas? They could be characters, storylines, gameplay, art style, etc. I will show my ideas in a subsequent posting.

Transformers: Age of Cybertron
-the lead up to the war (prequel), mainly Orion Pax and Megatronus centric, other playable characters though.
-playable characters: Orion Pax, Megatronus, Soundwave, Prowl, Ratchet, Jazz, Shockwave, Ironhide, Barricade, Blackout, Powerglide, Lugnut
Level 1: The Pits of Kaon
"The Golden Age of Cybertron is at its zenith; however, corruption pervades, and many Cybertronians tire of the antiquated caste system. One such individual, a gladiator designated as D-I6, renames himself after a legendary figure and preaches a new ideology, slowly acquiring legends of his own....."
Hone your skills and survive in the gladiatorial pits of kaon as Megatronus.
(this is the tutorial level. You play as Megatronus and basically throughout this level establish his fighting prowess and reputation. First is a basic tutorial, then you fight some generics, then you find, possibly fight, and befriend Soundwave, fight and do some more stuff, eventually fight and kill a big bad monster, and thus become Megatronus)
Level 2: Orion Pax (or The Archives of Iacon)
"While the newly-christened Megatronus wins over the sparks of the lower caste, a data clerk in the Iacon Hall of Records turns the heads of the Council of Primes themselves: Orion Pax. Stunning the council with his brilliance, he is given a mission that will change the course of history...."
Solve puzzles and spy on Megatronus for the council
(this is our introduction to Optimus as Orion Pax, he solves some puzzles in hall of records, talks with Alpha Trion, gets assigned to Megatronus and gets swayed, takes Him back to council and they get deputized as a special team, alongside Ironhide, Soundwave, Barricade, and Prowl.)
Level 3: Raid on Tarn
"Deputized by the Council, Orion, Megatronus, and their team investigate anarchical raids by radical dissidents. Orion quickly learns the ways of combat and revels in the chance to fight beside his idol, but Megatronus may have ulterior motives...."
Play as either Megatron or Orion as they fight Shockwave, a dissident Cybertronian rebelling against the council.
( Orion and Megatronus fight together and mesh very well; Orion also gets his first gun from Megatron. As they battle shockwave, assist and take orders from your team; Megs notices that Shockwave might be a good ally and sends Soundwave out after him.)
Level 4: Recruiting
"After successfully quelling the raid caused by Shockwave, Soundwave seeks a way to break him out of prison. Using his massive databanks, he seeks out two well-known mercenary robots to help him accomplish this feat...."
(Play as Soundwave & his cassettes as they discover what happened to Shockwave. At that point barricade finds him, debates ratting him out, but decides to help him, as he knows two underworld mercenaries known as Lugnut and Blackout)
Level 5: Iacon Prison-Break
" Recruited to Megatronus's cause, Lugnut and Blackout embark on a covert mission to liberate Shockwave"
(infiltrate and break stuff as Lugnut and blackout)
Level 6: Containment
"Shockwave has been freed from captivity, at the cost of many lives. Orion Pax and Prowl scramble to keep things under control as a prison riot unfolds at their feet....."
( play as Prowl and recapture prisoners, fight Lugnut in the middle and Blackout at the end, kill/ gravely injure one of them at the end. First level where afterwards Megatron is called into question.)
Level 7: Roots of Treachery
"Prowl has quelled the riot at the prison, but Lugnut and Blackout are on the run. Megatronus volunteers to hunt the traitors down. No one suspects, however, that Megatronus has not gone hunting, but recruiting...."
(starts as Megatronus hunting Lugnut and Blackout, saves their lives and earns Lugnuts complete loyalty and Blackout's uneasy trust, they now go to find Shockwave.)
Level 8: Raid on the Decagon
"Shockwave has emerged as the leader of a group of rebels, with Lugnut and Blackout as his lieutenants. Little does anyone suspect that Megatronus is the power behind the throne......"
(play as shockwave and execute Megatronus's plan; some people have several Freudian slips and allude that Megatronus is their actual leader; namely that Lugnut finally dies and proclaims eternal loyalty to Megatronus)
Level 9: Aftermath
"Iacon lies decimated after a crippling raid by the rebels. A few brave sparks scurry around the battlefield, trying to quell the fighting and undo the damage done by this deception....."
(play as Ratchet and Powerglide as they go around fighting and saving citizens. At the very end Powerglide witnesses Megatronus leading these dissidents and gets fatally wounded, but not before warning Ratchet and coining the term 'Decepticon')
Level 10: Decepticon
"To learn if the rumors are true, stealth expert Jazz takes it upon himself to infiltrate and investigate the meeting of these so-called Decepticons. Upon doing do, he learns more than he bargained for...."
(Play as Jazz and spy on each decepticon in turn; first Barricade who is proud to be in the chain of command, Blackout, who believes in the cause but is depressed because of Lugnut's death and is having second thoughts; then Shockwave, who is preparing for a rally. After shockwave, Prowl has seen enough and is about to recall Jazz, but he notices Soundwave, who he follows via catwalk to Megatronus, who is planning for a massive attack.)
Level 11: Escalation
"Their worst suspicions confirmed, the Council prepares to eradicate Megatronus and his decepticons. Ironhide leads the Elite Guard in a surprise attack against them, but Orion believes they are heading into a trap......"
( between 2/3 and 3/4 of this is meant to be Ironhide preparing and attacking the Decepticons and getting overwhelmed; the remainder is Orion attempting to save them and begging Megatronus to reconsider. This is where Megatronus proclaims himself to be Megatron .)
Level 12: War for Cybertron
"Megatron is hell-bent on taking control of the Council and becoming the next Prime so that he may rule all of Cybertron. Orion desperately leads what remains of the Elite Guard in a last-ditch effort to stop him....."
(this level will actually have 2 different styles depending on if you play as Orion or Megatron. Regardless, it ends with both reaching the council chambers and giving speeches about autobots. The council denounces Megatron and bestows the title of Optimus upon Orion and give him a position of power directly under the council Zeta Prime. Megatron leaves enraged and vows vengeance. In the decepticon movie, Megatron further expounds on his desire for vengeance whilst Shockwave and Soundwave swear loyalty; blackout actually attempts to quit because the group has become too radical for his taste, whereupon he is executed on the spot by Megatron. Autobot end movie is Ratchet has finished healing a young one named Bumblebee when Optimus and Ironhide walk up and Jazz and Prowl join.)


Transformers: Battlefields of Cybertron
-campaign-based unit controlling game, battles across Cybertron styled like Wfc plus star wars battlefront
-locations: Iacon, Kaon, Autobot City, Polyhex, Darkmount Pass, Tyger Pax, Tarn, Trypticon Station, Moonbase 1 & 2, Sea of Rust, Kalis, crystal city, Simfur, Hydrax Plateau


Transformers: War for Cybertron; Last Stand of the Wreckers
-what happened to the Wreckers during Wfc/Foc/exile
-playable characters: Roadbuster, Impactor, Topspin & Twin Twist, Pyro, Rotorstorm, Ironfist, Guzzle, Wheeljack, Bulkhead, 6 Constructicons? Ultra Magnus?
-partially based on IDW's acclaimed comic book with different characters, maybe same ones

-chronicles travel from Cybertron to Earth
