Carnage in C-minor will make you want to eat your own skull.

Hey now, don't scare him off! :KREMZEEK:

Am I the only one out there that doesn't think that episode is as terrible as everyone says it is?

Not at all. I'd just rather GVman experience G1 without any preconceived notions. Personally, I think Kremzeek! and BOT are way worse than CIC-M.

Kremzeek! is one of my favorite episodes, actually.

IMO G1 is the very essence of Transformers. I recommend you watch it as a child would, without any preconceptions.

I consider it a right of passage. I refuse to believe anyone who didn't watch G1 to be a real Transformers fan.

Actually it was an after school cartoon not Saturday mornings. I know cuz I DID grow up watching it.
And in response to the topic.... yes you should try to watch it as best as you can. It will give a an idea of how it all began. You'll see alot of character connections from the past to the present and you'll see how certain old characters from G1 have been re-incarnated in todays TV series's and films.
And No, while the plot of G1 is not some long drawn-out story arc that takes 6 months make a point (which I don't see the big deal anyway with having that), it does have many good 2 and 3 parter episodes. And contrary to popular belief G1 does have an order into which their situation progresses throughout the seasons. (Dont forget to watch the 1986 movie in between seasons 2 and 3)
I know some may hate when people go on about G1 but look at it this way.......G1 is to Transformers what the bible is to humans.
An eternal spark the roams forever.
What's the matter? You look like you've seen...a ghost.

In my opinion its essential viewing :)

You'll start to notice all sorts of nods to G1 in the current series and games, once you've watched the history of Transformers that is G1

I was lucky enough to be an excited 5 year old when it first aired in 1984, and now I own the DVD's and still watch them, as does the wife :)

 I totally agree.

To me, the third season has some of the WORST animation i've ever seen in any cartoon but Carnage in C-minor is the biggest turd of them all. TERRIBLE storyline and horrendous animation. And was it really necessary to have the aliens sing every fraking thing that comes out of their mouths!!?? really?.....BRUTAL....i'm getting angry just thinking about this episode.

They really dropped the ball in quality during season three. I think they transferred all their talented animaters onto GI Joe.

Definitely watch G1!

Nostalgia insists I watch these through rose coloured glasses but for someone just starting I would just advise that you keep an open mind and try not to get distracted by the animation errors and some of the weaker episodes. You have nothing to lose and when its all over you can jump on the forums and bash Michael Bay

In fact, when I watch these now I actually enjoy spotting the animation errors like a miniature Bruticus casually standing with everyone or (while we are on the topic of Carnage in C minor) a resurrected and fully fit Brawn!

Enjoy it .
WANTED TO BUY

C-125:Shoki, C126:Getsui, C127:Yukikaze, C129:Seizan. MIB + unused stickers PM for details.

You must see the original, or no one will take you seriously as a fan... ;)

But B.O.T is MUUUCH worse that C-Minor, imo.

Weapon: Battle Blades
I know I'm jumping in this late but I have to say I find to understand a lot of the other series that followed you need to watch G1 series. Really it is a cheesy Saturday morning cartoon in the respect it took a movie for them to kill off some of the Transformers and when it went tot he headmasters tehy did in a bunch just in the first episodes. It is definitly something for any Transformers fan and with the SHOUT factory set out it makes it easy.
