Should the Twins have been in DOTM?

I should pay closer attention because I never saw any remains of them in the final battle scene. Then again, I never noticed Michael Bay's cameos or R2-D2 in Star Trek either. Should the remains of the twins have been in DOTM it would have been out of place just like the hostage scene taking place out of nowhere.
