As long as there's no new additional bonus content and instead just have these be straight rereleases, I'll be good.

So do I. I got the Matrix set from before.

Did these individual releases have all the same extras as the Matrix box set or did that have additional stuff?

The Matrix set had one additional disc of bonus features, plus a 60-page booklet and
and
magnets

I never got the previous releases. I might pick these up. Hopefully in a couple of years they will do Beast Wars the same way for their 20th anniversary. And whose arm and hand is that on the S2V2 cover, opposite Soundwave?

Straight rereleases of the BW DVDs from 2011?
I guess that'd be fine, but I'd imagine the previous ones would still be obtainable by then (as the previous G1 DVDs still are now).

Well hopefully they will put extra stuff on them, but if not, just slap the "20th Anniversary" tag on them like they did the "30th" on these.

So am I. I already have all four volumes of the 25th Anniversary-release DVDs.

I've got the Matrix set already. Honestly, the only way they'd get me to replace them is a 'cleaned-up' version with as many animation errors as possible cleaned up. And I know that being made is slim to none. Unfortunately.
Not caring about scale since 1984. Just like Hasbro.

The only errors I'd like to see corrected are any lingering ones that were originally created by previous DVD releases, leaving all of the original broadcast errors intact (for authenticity's sake).

Gonna disagree on that. The mistakes can be downright
embarrassing to me. It's one thing that can be cleaned up and should be cleaned up.

I'm been watching them on Netflix streaming but I think I will pick up this new set. Since I don't own them yet.
