I've been quietly working on making improvements to Seibertron.com's sightings section, located at http://www.seibertron.com/sightings/. I've been making so many changes that I thought it'd be a good idea to keep a change log of sorts so that I can make a news story about all of these changes in the next week or two and also keep all of you informed of the changes that I've been making. Some of these changes and fixes are long overdue ... hopefully you guys will give the official sightings section another chance as I continue working toward making it more user friendly for all of us to use.

So without further ado, here are some of the changes that I've made recently:

5/21/11 - Working on Google Maps integration (still incomplete, but feature will be here soon)

5/21/11 - Cleaned up page that displays a retail chain's locations in a specific state. http://www.seibertron.com/sightings/sto ... S&state=14

5/21/11 - Made some minor changes to the specific store location page, added logo

5/23/11 - Updated the store locator by zip code page

5/27/11 - Fixed the add store locations and retail chains page so that you can actually submit new stores again. I also cleaned up the page so it has a little bit more of the "web 2.0" look to it instead of the old school HTML tables.

5/27/11 - Cleaned up the main page that displays the listings for a chain. Added new logos, updated old logos, slightly changed the layout of the page to make better use of space and to bring content up closer to the fold.

6/13/11 - Cleaned up the page that displays all of the available retail chains. Again, added more logos, etc. Made logos bigger (not sure if I like them bigger or smaller, I'll let you guys decide for me if you have a preference), added total number of active available locations below each retail chain's name.

6/14/11 - I wrote some scripts that added 1,323 Big Lots locations, 43 BR-Leker (Norway) locations, 111 Big W (Australia) locations, 6,177 Family Dollar locations, 34 Fry's Electronics locations, 781 Marshalls locations, 957 T.J. Maxx locations, and approximately 600 new Target locations that weren't in the database before.

6/14/11 - Added 998 Ross "Dress For Less" stores to the Sightings section

6/15/11 - Added about 200+ Costco Wholesale locations http://www.seibertron.com/sightings/sto ... hain_id=36, made some minor changes to the retail chain locations page

I added the TRU China Imports Generations GDO figures to the toy sightings section as well as Masterpiece Thundercracker and Optimus Prime.
