Time to venture into the Bee hive and search some new Transformers Prime figures! Our own Bounti76 picked up Cyberverse Wave 4 Legions Fallback, Autobot Tailgate, the orange Knockout at a Wal-Mart in Centerville, UT. The Cyberverse Commander Wave 4 featuring Skyquake and Battle Tactics Bulkhead was purchased at a Wal-Mart in El Paso, TX by MiraiBaby. Lastly the highly anticipated Deluxe Wave 5 consisting of Sergeant Kup and Rumble were purchased in Wal-mart in Waverly, IA by DecepticusPrime. Interestingly, Sergeant Kup rings up as Ironhide. Happy hunting!

I think the kup mold would look better on Ironhide. But for some reason, I don't think we're getting Ironhide (after all, why give us Ironhide, when you can use the money to make a slightly more yellow bummblebee) So I'm picking up kup

commanders are still $10 and walmart is now charging $16 for deluxes, looks like i still wont be buying new transformers anytime soon. Off to ebay i go. But how in the hell are people ok paying these outlandish prices? $16 for an undersized deluxe is ridiculous plus it screws eveyrone in the long run. Hasbro sees people are paying their stupid prices so they raise them again, they see people still buy em so they raise em again so on & so forth, there really needs to be some big public boycott or something. The madness has to end. Fans of all ages are being screwed over by this and no ones seems to care.

Did you buy a video game for 60$? Cause if you did then you got ripped off.(they lower down to 20$ / 30$ all the dang time meaning there still making an good profit from it)
Why are video games so exspensive compared to movies? Seriously.

And as much time goes into coming up with designs for a toy. And there value goes up unlike games or movies that will be re-released all the time over the psnstore, xbox live, or what people use for pc gaming

I always read what else they buy when they post the reciepts. If I remember correctly there are pretty many that include the jerky and soda combo. :MAXIMAL:

In all fairness, those are two things that you find on your way out of the store, usually next to the register. I usually pick up a soda and snack if I have a triumphant Transformers hunt!

I highly doubt Cyberverse Ironhid costs $15.47, so which Ironhide is it? Most likely it's the deluxe movieverse figure, but what if Prime Ironhide was released w/o us knowing? Highly doubt it though.

Seriously? New waves? I still haven't seen any deluxevehicon figures at all. Wasn't that supposed to be like wave 3 or something? Where are they?

People are, I think, rightly complaining about the size and price. There's no denying that toys lately have been 'recession-ized'. Theyr'e smaller and more expensive. And it's not just transformers.

A lot of the Avengers and Spiderman merchandise is languishing on shelves because they're so cheap and crappy. They didn't seem to do any 6 inch figures at all. All we got were tons of 4 inch figures, chest lights, and some silly dress-up stuff that most kids would be embarrassed to put on.

When I compare this current crop of toys to the stuff that came out in the early 2000s, and even up to 2008, it's just sad. Toys these days are so cheap that they seem more like the stuff you'd find in a happy meal, or get at a carnival for winning 'whack-a-mole'. And this is the official merchandise.

I hope Hasbro, et. al. realize this simple truth: If you go with the cheapest, crummiest, crappiest manufacturer - you're going to get exactly what you pay for.

What's the point of 'saving money' by cranking out crappy merchandise if no one buys it?

It's highly possible that "Ironhide" is actually Sergeant Kup, who is indeed in Deluxe wave 5. There are times Walmart listings do not coincide with the name of the actual toy, and Kup is a repaint of Ironhide (or vice-versa)

I can't believe there are wave 5 figures to be found. Walmarts by me don't even have a spot on the rack for prime toys anymore. The racks are filled with generations cybertron figures. The distribution of this line sucks. I have never had this much trouble finding other figures before.

The markup on video games is only $8 - $12 for a $60 console video game. The price falls when the initial stock has been moved from distributor to store (not necessarily sold to consumer). This means the units needed to cover costs have been moved. Once that happens, more games are printed and then the price may start to drop.

Which is the most important thing here - games can be reprinted fairly easily. Toys; not so much. This is why there needs to be a move from case-packs to individual toy orders so retailers can decide which pieces to fulfill customers needs.

armada toys sucked. They were all stiff and looked dinky. So did energon. But only a few

Dinky as compared to what? Armada carformers are all pretty big...if poorly engineered. Seriously, I like Hot Shot and all, but he's got SO MUCH empty space in his altmode. xD
And obviously all of the RiD line was solid and well-sized.
