G1 colours Smokescreen shown after a hard days work. Looks like he got his ass kicked, but you should see the other guy.

Image

Scorch marks on a guys face makes him look uber macho :thumb
It's not finished as I intend on having oil drip from his craw.

I added the pin stripes and cracked the glass. (Drivers side) The shine of the clearcoat shows best in sunlight

Image

Here's where the pain is shown.

The cracked glass is simulated by using a razor knife to spiderweb the plastic. The tires were heated slightly and pushed flat. (Front mildly, back is 0 psi) The rims on this side were also slightly charred for effect.
I used a lighter to create a slight burn effect on the stripes.

Image

The forearms have been smoked but I decided to drop the "panel full of gears" idea. I did cut the mouth so it looks like it's open. The oil dripping from it is just black basecoat that I dribbled in there and let it leak off to one side.

Image

Being that I'm a car guy, I needed to add real car traits. The inside headliner is a neutral graphite colour, as are the inside A, B, and C pilars. A stoopid detail but something to take note of.

If you look at the rocker panels in the other pics, they too were done in this shade to simulate the plastic gaurds most imports come with these days. The undercarriage (Chest) uses a gunmetal colour to simulate rubberized coating which is sprayed onto todays cars..

This rock formation is custom cut to fit a Smokescreen or others of that mold. He fits into special slots that keep it secure. The sand was spread onto this before the clearcoat dried and acted as a glue. The lakeside waterfront is acomplished by building a dam around the outer edges and filling it with leftover clear.

Total cost of project:(Roughly)

Smokescreen: $10.00
Styrofoam: $8.00
Bodyfiller: $5.00
Plastic adhesion promotor: $1.00
GTS Viper Blue basecoat: $8.00
Candyapple red basecoat: $11.00
Graphite: $3.00
Gunmetal: $3.00
Clearcoat: $9.00
Plasticizer: $1.00
Sand: FREE

i'd say great job on the inner details. any wrx owner knows the colors
of the inside are the black and two tone neutral gray.
i had a custom interior put into my wrx so that it was all uniform....but that's off topic.

great job.
great choice in colors.
one day i'll be brave enough to do this classic repaint.

Battledamage work is always fun. I think the spoiler looks more melted than damaged (too gloppy), but I'm LOVING the front end damage. That really looks like a wreck.

And yeah, something about "head trauma" makes these guys look more badass. :D

Agreed. It was the first part I started on and overheated it with the gun. (Not used to the temperments of this type of plastic) Spoilers are more known to break than melt so someday when time allows I'll probably simulate it being broken off instead.

Check out my Breakdown alt when you get the chance.I went for more of a laser blast look and damage rrealisim with the bits and peices of broken window still in the door of the car.

Great work. Hope this get's people to make more damage inspired TF's in the future because they really make then feel alot more real.
