Well, everybody wants Sonic to be in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Even SEGA and Nintendo want him in. What do you think?

If sonic gets in you think other sonic characters will get in?

I don't know about Sonic, but I like the fact that Snake is going to be in there. I hope that Nintendo continues to add guest characters in upcoming SSB games. I'd be over the moon of Sonic, Dante, and Ivy got added to the roster.

Dante I'm not so sure about. Aside from cameos in Viewtiful Joe, he's never really been on a Nintendo Console.

Agreed. And, blasphemous as it sounds, he's not exactly iconic yet.

Sonic in Brawl certainly is plausible, now that Sega's no longer a direct competitor to Nintendo. I hope for it, but I'm not holding my breath (remember the rumors of Sonic being in Melee?)

Well, that was before smash allowed 3rd party characters in, and Sega "switched" sides not too long before melee came out, so it was kinda short notice.

Some people are saying that the "Mario and Sonic at the Olympics" game is a sign for both ways. Meaning, Sega and nintendo could be making that game INSTEAD of putting sonic in brawl, or it could be a sign of their willingness to cooperate.

Doesn't matter. SSB is only for characters that have appeared in big Nintendo titles. (I.e. Solid Snake was in Metal Gear, Metal Gear 2, and Snake's Revenge for NES)

Metal Gear 2 was never released for the NES, btw. Only for the MS-X.

And I read on Wiki that they said that Masahiro Sakurai, the director and creator of Smash Bros., stated that third-party characters will amount to one or two, excluding Snake.

Maybe Bomberman has a shot? He appeared in a crossover of sort once:

He was also primarily on Nintendo Consoles. I remember playing Bomberman 64.

Perhaps Mega Man has a shot?

Mega Man and Sonic would both be great additions to SSBB. They could even make skins for them as other characters. Sonic could have Shadow, Knuckles, and even Silver skins. And Mega Man can have X, Zero, Protoman, Legends, and Battle Network. And their Final Smash modes would be Super Sonic and Ultra Armor Mega Man.
