The only ROTF stuff I found were the Robot Heroes. The Woodruff Road Wal-Mart in Greenville had all the Robot Heroes. Everyone else from Greenville to Boiling Springs had nothing.

The Westgate Walmart in Spartanburg had 1 Depthcharge and 1 Ransack. The Target in Spartanburg has several Mixmasters and Voyager Megatrons.

The Mixmaster is very cool. A lot cooler than I expected.

Nothing new at the Greer Walmart or Target.

Spartanburg target: Stratosphere came out with first wave voyagers. saw 2, got one. didn't check endcap, maybe more.
he's OK, disappointed with his face, looks too plain for a movie bot. not enough detail. and feet are kinda plain too. overall he is cool tho. just expected a little more complication.
i am pleased with the mini-prime that fits in Stratosphere's cargo bay, he is cool. i had assumed he was the same as the legends prime, but he is smaller and different. as far as i know, he is the smallest transforming prime ever, i compared him to the WST prime.

Hello.

LONG-time surveyor of Seibertron, first-time post. Largely driven to my first post out of frustration and slowly dwindling outlets to collect TFs. :BANG_HEAD:

I'm in the Columbia area, just outside of Irmo to be exact. I have been looking for several Universe line figs and have just about given up. They are Voyager Inferno (the Holy Grail it seems), Deluxe Hound, and the trio of Warpath, Cosmos, and Wheelie. Any suggestions that don't involve breaking the bank, I'm forever thankful ...

On to sightings ... the Wal-Mart on Harbison had a Springer Legends. Almost bought it but the credit card was already singed from my visit to TRU across the way. And speaking of which, they had a Revenge Ransack Scout. In retrospect I should have bought it. He is a biplane! Really cool. They also had two Universe Countdowns and a Darkwind.

to dinobot 4 ever from dryxler in spartanburg:
if you can't find them in ths stores, you can always check bigbadtoystore.com, i have bought tons of TFs from them i can't find locally. Inferno seemed to have a very limited run. starting to realize shelf time is dwindling, i'm ready to write to hasbro. it shouldn't have to feel like mining for treasure to hunt new TFs. anyways, most of the ROTF figures are out and plenty. just saw wave 3 of deluxe figures in target.
i also had alot of trouble locating the universe figures you mentioned. since i work at target i was able to p/u hound and inferno when they came in, found the three legends at toys'r'us. haven't seen them in awhile, so online may be your only bet. BBTS has prices slightly above retail and p/h is decent, so if you really want them i suggest trying them.
did you get cyclonus? i really like him. cheetor not so much. Inferno was also very nice, and the legends too. if BBTS is out of stock, ebay then. they are all nice figures and worth adding to your universe collection, especially since they are new molds.
gotta go, have a friend harassing me about collecting TFs. >:(

I've dealt w/ BBTS several times before. I usually keep them in reserve for when all the "mining for treasure" gets to me. (more :BANG_HEAD:) e-Bay is feast or famine. My experiences have been mostly good but the couple of bad ones tend to turn you off.

Something that occured to me over the weekend is to visit the local Fred's that opened up a year or two ago. I could have sworn I saw some TFs the last time I was there. The odd-ball places sometimes are where you strike it rich.

Yes I did get Cyclonus ... at the local Walmart when visiting my wife's parents in Orangeburg for a couple of days. Have never seen him before or after around here. Didn't get Cheetor because I have the original. With these Universe/Classics I'm only getting the ones that I don't have the original version, unless it is really neat or is a favorite character of mine. And yes, I did get the Universe Dinobot

Folks, I am reporting the Holy Grail does exist. Last night I went to the Harbison TRU and noticed a lot of extra stuff sitting up on top of the shelves and in carts all over the store. I was visiting to see what I could find in the Universe line since the Voyagers and Ultras were on sale. In the covered overstock bin directly above the Transformers area, I could spot what I thought was the top of Inferno's head on a box. I was a bit giddy of the prospect and immediately sought out a store employee to pull it down. To my surprise there were TWO and the Universe repaint of Vector Prime! I about fell over. Rather than do the greedy reseller tactic and buy the second Inferno (on sale nonetheless), I left it hopefully for a fellow collector to experience the surprise and joy as I did. :D

so inferno is rare in your area. is that right ?? its the opposite here in the philippines, Its TFU ratchet, smokescreen thats difficult to find here the rest specially the voyager classes except nemesis prime are pegwarmers..

Yes, both Inferno and Vector Prime are rare. Check out the Sightings area to see just how rare they are here in the States.

As many have complained about on this site, even distribution is the issue. An overstock of one figure results in a drought in another. Not to say they were common, but if I remember correctly, I saw both Ratchet and Smokescreen in at least two different stores on different occassions. Come to think of it, Ironhide was the only deluxe Universe figure I had trouble finding.

Chalk it up to both the thrill and frustration of the hunt.

I visited my Grandparents in Walterboro, SC last week. The Walmart near there had HFTD Highbrow, The Fallen, Terradive and Tomahawk in stock as of last Thursday afternoon.

My Grandpa is not doing well. I flew down there to see him one last time after the doctors said he wasn't going to make it. He's now at home. My Grandma is taking care of him as well as Hospice care making his final days/weeks comfortable.

If any of you live around there, they were very active in the local Farmer's Market. They had a booth every week where they sold woodcrafts that they made. My Grandpa did the woodwork and my Grandma painted the woodwork.
