I'm in the Columbia area, just outside of Irmo to be exact. I have been looking for several Universe line figs and have just about given up. They are Voyager Inferno (the Holy Grail it seems), Deluxe Hound, and the trio of Warpath, Cosmos, and Wheelie. Any suggestions that don't involve breaking the bank, I'm forever thankful ...

Folks, I am reporting the Holy Grail does exist. Last night I went to the Harbison TRU and noticed a lot of extra stuff sitting up on top of the shelves and in carts all over the store. I was visiting to see what I could find in the Universe line since the Voyagers and Ultras were on sale. In the covered overstock bin directly above the Transformers area, I could spot what I thought was the top of Inferno's head on a box. I was a bit giddy of the prospect and immediately sought out a store employee to pull it down. To my surprise there were TWO and the Universe repaint of Vector Prime! I about fell over. Rather than do the greedy reseller tactic and buy the second Inferno (on sale nonetheless), I left it hopefully for a fellow collector to experience the surprise and joy as I did. :D

so inferno is rare in your area. is that right ?? its the opposite here in the philippines, Its TFU ratchet, smokescreen thats difficult to find here the rest specially the voyager classes except nemesis prime are pegwarmers..

Yes, both Inferno and Vector Prime are rare. Check out the Sightings area to see just how rare they are here in the States.

As many have complained about on this site, even distribution is the issue. An overstock of one figure results in a drought in another. Not to say they were common, but if I remember correctly, I saw both Ratchet and Smokescreen in at least two different stores on different occassions. Come to think of it, Ironhide was the only deluxe Universe figure I had trouble finding.

Chalk it up to both the thrill and frustration of the hunt.

I visited my Grandparents in Walterboro, SC last week. The Walmart near there had HFTD Highbrow, The Fallen, Terradive and Tomahawk in stock as of last Thursday afternoon.

My Grandpa is not doing well. I flew down there to see him one last time after the doctors said he wasn't going to make it. He's now at home. My Grandma is taking care of him as well as Hospice care making his final days/weeks comfortable.

If any of you live around there, they were very active in the local Farmer's Market. They had a booth every week where they sold woodcrafts that they made. My Grandpa did the woodwork and my Grandma painted the woodwork.

Myrtle beach has only ONE target with next atleast an hour away. Has any of the new RTS/Gen stuff been spotted anywhere on the Grand Strand?

Gotcha. Have you seen or heard of Wal-mart or any store other than target getting these figures yet? The 5 closest Wallyworlds have just finished a major recent of the toy department and have NOTHING.

Nice. Thanks for the heads up. And to any SC coastal area collectors. I can find you just about any new figure other than Kup and Scourge. If you need some help picking up a Gen. or RTS figure, PM me. I would like to start a non profit effort to keep SC collectors up to speed. :BOT:

I've thought about just buying up a whole bunch of the stuff that everyone is looking for and just starting a thread where all you have to pay is the price of the toy and cost of shipping. Especially since other parts of the country seem to be having a tough time with new TF distribution.

Thats cool. I wish I could help the entire country, but for now I just want SC collectors to know that if they need help catching a guy or two, I'm willing to purchase, package and ship with a receipt so that we all can get whats out there. But yes pretty much what your saying only local.

Just wanted people to know, the preview DOTM Optimus Prime is at the Myrtle Beach TRU. There was atleast 15 left this afternoon. They also have some Animated (including Rodimus if anyone missed him) marked down considerably.

The Indian Land, SC (right outside Charlotte, NC) Wal-Mart is a goldmine! I've had so much luck there!

Last sighting: RTS Wreck-Gar and Perceptor last week (I check the store every week).

Found two sets of the BIG THREE (in my opinion) Generations Wheeljack, Thundercracker, and Warpath on Tuesday (21 Jun) at the Target on Garner's Ferry Road in Columbia, SC. They also had Scourge and Kup

LEADER IRONHIDE

I'd just like to see how many people have seen Leader Ironhide (without posting on the sightings page) just to get an idea of how well-saturated he is in stores. I know in South Carolina all our stores have right now are wave 1 and 2 stuff- tons of Leader Bumblebees and Sentinel Primes. Anybody having any luck elsewhere?

I got mine at Target (SE Michigan), and I've only seen 1-2 more in other Targets.

Thanks for posting more of your South Carolina sightings everyone. I merged the two existing topics into one topic again. Keep posting those sightings to help everyone out.

Do any of you plan meetups with other Transformers fans?

Dude, the beach where I live is a giant tourist machine. As far as I can tell, there might be one other fan on the Grande Strand. I know this because the only figures in a wave I want are the ones I cannot find! :D I feel like I'm always 5 minutes behind the person I've come to call..."The Rival".

I shall you find you Rival, and when I do, I'm taking your shopping cart! MUWAHAHAHAA:lol:

I can tell you how many Transformers fans in your area visit Seibertron.com if you're curious. What city do you live in and what city is the next closest (just in case it's too small to show up with Google Analytics).
