We have some details about the upcoming Dark Of The Moon 3D Blu-Ray release thanks to Amazon.co.uk. If you were waiting for a copy of the movie to come with special features, then this release has a slew of them. Over 1.5 hours to be more precise. The set comes with Blu-Ray 3d, Blu-Ray, DVD and Digital Copy. Oddly there are no deleted scenes but here is what you got to look forward to.

Why!? WHY!!!??? I wanted to see the scenes with the twins beating the crap out of Sentinel so bad!!! I guess I'll just have to one day make my own scene or something, I don't know. I'll be buying it regardless.

Me and my 3D tv have been waiting foreverrrrrrrr for this release!!! the bonus content is nice and all... but really i just want the 3D sexiness of this!!! i wanted deleted scenes with the twins as well... oh well. Lets get confirmation of the 4th movie now

Now, this is more like it. Deleted scenes or no, these bonus features are enough to warrant a purchase by me.

Though, what about a DVD release with the bonus content? Not everyone has a Blu-Ray player (or PS3) nor can everyone afford one. Don't they want these to appeal to the widest commercial audience possible?

There's probably not going to be any deleted scenes, but those making of featurettes are good enough for me, and is probably more interesting than the movies' plot themselves

So if this one contains 3D BR, 2D BR, DVD and DC, does that mean there will be a regular SE 2D BR version too?

if Pirates 4's release is any indication than the answer is no. just like they are trying to force dvd buyers to switch to blu by making their versions more and more bareboned, it seems the new trend is forcing blu buyers to get the 3D release if they want extras.

Surprisingly…there will be no double dip in my pocket on this one. Special features are not enough for me to make another purchase, they should have been available upon release the first time.

while i agree its stupid to do these "pre feature-less" releases, just release it on day 1 like most do. but they did warn us in advance that this would happen just like Avatar did so nobody has any real reason to complain. we had the option to wait or not since we knew for a fact a feature filled edition would come later down the line.

but i guess they figured and were proven right that some would buy both regardless so they tried anyway. lol

I thought it was the other way around..? Doesn't Skids try to shield Bumblebee and literally gets blown to pieces because of it, and when Mudflap tried to avenge his brother's death, Sentinel turns him into scrap, too?

Nice! Can't wait for this edition. Though I wish it had a film commentary as well!

Nothing to get excited about with these special features. Pretty disappointing seeing as I had passed on every other release so far.
