Yeah i hated the whole Prime Jet fire combiners crap from the start but If Jet Fire is a Decepticon then how do they combine?

Well that sucks. Prime and Jetfire combining, yay! An SR-71 combining with a truck. Goodbye any sense of scale and reality whatsoever. I never want to hear anyone connected with this godawful Bayformers franchise try and justify any decision they make with the word "realism" again.

That's my point! They're making a film about giant, sentient alien robots that can transform, survive the depths of space (but not the arctic ), but they still try and throw out this sort of bollocks as a justification: (from Wiki) "The filmmakers have said that, ignoring the fan-termed "mass shifting" associated with the series, Optimus's final official height of 28ft (almost 10m) in robot mode would not have been possible to allow for all of the mechanics of the CGI model if they had gone with a cab-over, which would have dropped him instead to a smaller 20ft (almost 7m)." WTF? It's a Michael Bay film! No one gives a toss about realism!

does anybody know if optimus has articulate knees?

Question: If Jetfire is supposed to be a Decepticon, how and why can he combine with the Autobot leader Optimus Prime?
