I saw zero glitches in the story line related to Megan's Absence. personally, i couldn't see Mikeala in the same role as Carly. Mikeala'a character was a lot more rough around the edges than Carly and wouldn't have fit in as Dylan's personal assistant.

I also find it funny that while so many complained about the bots not having enough screen time, there's so much fuss over the absence of a human character.

Of course, bear in mind that if Mikaela WAS in the third movie, the story would have been written with her "rough around the edges" persona in mind. Several elements would have changed as a result, including the high class museum part.

totally agree with the original poster...Megan replaced by tire-lips killed what little the trilogy had to offer as far as human involvement. And Megatron's defeated in a new time-record!

Actually I was really surprised he did that. Then again from what I've read and even listening to some of his movie commentaries, I always did think there were certain aspects to the man that are pretty immature. Not that anyone else is perfect, mind. I'm sure we all act out. But the more powerful you are, the greater the scale in which you can act out I suppose

I watched the movie yesterday for a second time and something cought my eye... perhaps i'm drawing lines here but IMHO its something which COULD explain megatrons change in attitude at the end of the movie.

In fact it was hinted at the beginiing of the movie and even in ROTF XD

Did anyone notice how megs took care of the hatchlings in the scene where he meets up with starscream?
He was alone in a somewhat shabby looking camp and tending to the rest of the hatchlings which did made it through rotf, perhaps in that time he started to think and doubt his actions ^^

which could explain why he offered peace to optimus and perhaps his request was genuine.

alas with megatron you'll never know for sure ^^

Little late here, but Mikaela... I missed her character. And I hated Carly. After everything Mikaela and Sam went through, after the Pyramids and Alice and Mission City and getting in the car, no way in the Pit she'd dump him. No. Way.

Carly was a vapid waste of protoplasm. I HATED her. With the exception of her and Megatron, completely useless. And considering old Megs' shape, a dog barking at him would've engendered the same effect!

Carly worked for an embassy.
She was an executive assistant for Hotchkiss/Gould.
She was intelligent enough to tell the cavalry where to go and what was at stake, and she was able to rub salt in Megatron's wound.

Mikaela painted bikes in her Dad's bike shop.
It was probably her first job.
She killed Alice. (Whoopity doo.)

Megan Fox is not an actress, and I give her credit for trying.
Rosie Huntington-Whitely is a model and not an actress, but for her first try, she succeeded. She has genuine talent.

I admit I have bias towards Megan Fox, however, my dislike of her is not enough to say she's ruined the experience for me. Even I can rise above it and give her some credit. You can't even do that for Rosie.

She's 10 times the actress and eye candy that Megan Fox is. Why? Because there's some intelligence behind the pretty face.

All correct. Not to mention her purpose was also to blackmail Sam into attempting to find out the autobots plan. Sam was esentially the only one who could possible infiltrate the Autobots. They needed to show how much they cared for each other since holding her hostage was the only way Sam would do what the Decepticons wanted.

So as much as people may not want to admit, having human characters, and even a love story was relevent to the overall story.

probably because without humans it'll be a non-stop explosion fest full of dynamic kills. it might be fun during the first 30 minutes but will be boring beyond that

Maybe he wanted OP to become his pet?
