I quite liked it. I didn't much care for the first person elements of Jedi Outcast, so it was nice to be able to use a lightsaber for most of the game.

The only downside was that it got pretty repetitive near the end, where most of the enemies were dark jedi or sith that took fifteen billion hits to take down.

Now, that was one of my favorite parts of Outcast, in fact, I replayed a part of Outcast where you have to take down to sith that happen to be able to cloak themselves. It was considerably fun.

Academy just didn't have that charm. The only real problem was this one type of sith who only used force powers. Not to damage, by any means, but to keep you from hitting anyone or anything.

Character customization was very nice. I think, though, that it could've used more skins for each species, and more species altogether. Why no Zabrak men? I wanna make a Darth Maul clone!

But it was a good game, I even had plans to make a machinima series out of it, but I never got around to it. Oh well, maybe next time.

I love that game. Still have it for PC. Nothing was better than turning gibs up to 10 and watching stormtroopers get cut to pieces by my lightsaber.

Although Tavion was a horrible bad guy and the whole storyline didn't fit all too well with the other series. I did love the online duels though. I had created custom sabers and a custom colored skin for Boba Fett that was a lot like the Holiday Special colors.

Had fun cutting people down with my two blades.

What I want to know is why they didn't have more pre-made skins. They had Jan Ors, and she didn't even appear in the game. They had character I didn't even recognize. So why couldn't they have put in Han Solo or Darth Vader? I know it's supposed to be OT, so I guess Prequel character like Anakin and Maul are out of the question. But there's still a lot they could've put in.

Jan was in because she was originally going to be in the story along side Kyle. They cut her in favor of centering the story more directly around your character and Kyle.

You know I never played the sp vers. of this game. I just jumped straight in to the multiplayer part and never looked backed.

Hmm. What I should of asked is who here plays the multiplayer part of JKA.

I played it once with a friend. It's actually pretty cool.

Like I said before, set up right, it could make a killer Machinima, like Red vs. Blue meets Star Wars.

I had a bunch of cool lines and concepts, but never really did anything with them.

Just to note I reinstalled Jedi Outcast (I want to play them in order) and I was right...Theres nothing more fun then cutting stormtroopers to pieces while throwing their friends down bottomless chasms.

Although it sucks that theres no widescreen resolution setting in the game. I have to play with everything stretched out. It looks like Rosie O'Donnel is in the stormtrooper suits.

The best is setting the Slow-Mo Deaths to "Excessive" and using the Stormy Decapitation Code. Boom, Headshot!

Jedi Academy was fun, but my favorite in the series was Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II, mainly because, for the time, it was the Best Game Ever. First 3D game to use a lightsaber, or something like that. Good story (though crap cutscenes), excellent music (straight from the RotJ Soundtrack), and epic level design (I loved how small and insignificant you felt). The others since haven't had the same feeling.

I might replay them once I finish Prey.

ranks as one of my fav games, theres hours of fun to be had in SP as well ... force gripping some dark jedi over a pit and waiting to see if he wants to be strangled or force push you and make you drop him in the lava.

I aggree there should have been more options for character customizing, i mean star wars has hundreds of races they only let you choose from what 3/4 :-?

But here's a question - Lightsabres, Single, Double or staff?

(i'm a staff person myself)

That's one of the reason I customize the pk3 files myself so I can have a character that I like. Granted I can't create new species or anything but I can at least have one look like me.

And definitely double blades. It's what I practice and screw around with in real life and that's directly because of how fun it was in that game.

It depends on who I'm playing. If I'm playing as Luke or Kyle (The two pre-made characters I play most, though I play Luke more) then I'm going to use a single green or blue saber. If I'm playing as a Dark Jedi or Sith, I'd switch every so often.

If I'm playing a custom character, I'm likely to use Doubles, because they're faster.
