Although we can say we "enjoyed" the films, they are still not as well sculpted and thought out as they should of been. It was nice that third movie grew a pair and had humans killed in it, and the first movie was alright, but you can't ignore that you're just letting yourself be duped again.
Actually, none of us were duped. We enjoyed the films. Telling us we were somehow "fooled" into enjoying them makes you look like an idiot, hate to say.
Think of what happen to
Dragon Ball when they made it a live action film (
Dragon Ball Evolution), or how about
Avatar The Last Airbender. Don't get me started on the 1998
Godzilla film. Sure it was a good "action" film but not a good Godzilla film. Hence why Toho created
Godzilla 2000 the next year, and had "Zilla" killed off in
Godzilla Final Wars. When people become complacent with how things are spoon fed to them you get things like this:

Lets point out the flaws in your argument here:
1. Dragonball Evolution lead to nothing stateside. The creation of Dragonball Kai was in the works long before that.
2. An Avatar sequel series (Legend of Korra) was also in the works, but the movie was scheduled first.
3. The making of new Godzilla films past "Godzilla In Name Only" had nothing to do with fan input, but rather the Toho wresting control of the franchise back from Tristar Films because they were pissed at how the film turned out. It took them two Godzilla films after that to make one that didn't suck.
4. The original creator of the Ninja Turtles has expressed interest in the new movie's interpretation. Hate to break it to you.
Yes, Michael Bay continues to tamper with some of the best 80's cartoon series that ever were. I also think a lot of you fail to realize that without demand, there is no driving force for a product to continue. So if you're contempt with being bent over and spoon fed another movie, more than likely up your ass, then by all means don't sign the petition.
My my aren't you getting a little miffed. Here's the problem with this statement. There is a demand for more films. Public opinion of the films ranks higher than critical opinion. Even the "worst of the three" has a high viewer approval score on Rotten Tomatoes. This is what people want. Stop dictating that you're somehow the "voice of the people," because you're not. You're merely screaming about not getting what you want. You're also being very rude about it.
It's also hard for him to screw with a series that has a different continuity in every incarnation, even the ones that are supposed to share continuity.
I mean its not like petitions to bring back Toonami worked.... oh wait a minute
A time block of cartoons with a certain host and a certain name are different than a multi-million dollar per film blockbuster series that rakes in at least a billion dollars per film for massive profits.
Yeah, sure, speaking up about something doesn't help. Realize I'm not even a child of the 80's, I'm actually trying to help all of you older folk out there with understanding you deserve better! I mean thank god that the Avengers movie was kick ass to fill in some major gaps, but you can't let yourself get cheated again. Don't be the idiot that lets the hot chick think you're going to get laid, but instead humiliates you in front of everyone. You all have voices, and entertainment driven companies are dependent on what you have to say, but only when "all are one"!
You all have the touch, you all have the power to make change. Take hold of it, work together, and get the Transformers movie you deserve!
There we go again with you shoving your viewpoints, opinions, and desires down our throats in an attempt to turn us over to your side or convince us we don't want another film while making those who want another film look like strawmen. Let me make this clear:
You do not speak for everyone. You are not some crusader on a quest to liberate us from anything. Just because YOU were not happy with the films does not mean WE weren't, or that we somehow have buyer's remorse.
With all that said, just stop trying to convince people to sign it. If they want to, they will. If not, so be it. Getting on a soap box will not make things better, it'll just make us annoyed with you.
