No. This the Marvel G1 comics continuity. Dreamwave G1 and IDW G1 have nothing to do with this.

From what I understand of it, this follows directly on from the old Marvel late G1/early G2 run and won't cross over with any of the other series at all. Must admit, I am really looking forward to seeing this having read the original comic in its UK weekly format from issue 3 onwards as a kid.

So I got around to reading mine too, the story is OK and it really does erase G2 from continuity since nothing is mentioned in the recounting of all of the important events that have taken place thus far.

I won't be collecting it however, the art is too much like the original series, as in horrendous.

Panel 1:

Front row (L-R) Ruckus, Sparkstalker, Wingspan (or possibly Pounce)
Back row (L-R) Battletrap, Fangry, Spinister, Needlenose, Horri-Bull

Panel 2: No idea, don't recognise any of these. Possibly generics?

'Attack on the Transmitter'

Again, this is Ruckus, Spinister and Needlenose. The 'pinkish fire-breathing bug-lizard looking thing' is definitely Sparkstalker, although oddly he's drawn as walking on all-fours, rather than his usual T-rex style pose. It looks so weird seeing him on all fours, in fact, that at first I thought it was a miscoloured Bristleback.
