Profile: Long ago, before the war, Sunstreaker was a patron of illegal underground death matches in the Forge, where he cheered on Megatron in his first victory there. He returned several times more, including to watch Megatron's 54th battle in the arena, this time apparently alongside his brother, Sideswipe.

When Megatron, rising in power and influence, put on a recruitment call to all-comers, Sunstreaker happily answered his call. Sideswipe tried to talk him out of joining the fights, to no avail. Sunstreaker apparently thought the call was for participation in the illegal gladiatorial games, but it was actually the first recruitment call for the Decepticon army. How they took Megatron's announcement, the apparent murder of a Senator, and how they faired when Autobot security forces raided the meeting is unknown. Neither he, nor any of the other Autobots-to-be that were present at the "rally", were seen again in prison or upon the Decepticons' escape and ravaging of Kaon. Presumably they were released due to lack of arrest warrants on them.

With the start of the Great War, Sunstreaker finally found the perfect outlet for some of his colder, violent tendencies. There were some among the Autobots who were shocked to see him sign up with their faction. His attitude and personality seemed more fitting with the brutal Decepticons. Some think he joined the Autobots just to stay on the same side as Sideswipe and look after him, others say it was because he couldn’t deal with the dictatorial authority of the Decepticons, and some even say it was because the Autobot HQ was closer. Not even Sideswipe knows why, and on one is asking Sunstreaker.

[From the Personal Datatracks of Sideswipe, Autobot Warrior] He might be my twin brother, but there’s still a lot about Sunstreaker that even I don’t get. He thinks he’s the prettiest thing ever, but it’s not enough for him to just think that; Sunstreaker needs everyone to know he’s better than they are. He goes on and on about how his style and looks outmatches everyone else’s. This leads to a lot of tension between him and other Autobots, who he’s constantly tearing down behind their backs. I think the only reason I get excluded from this contempt, to my face at least, is because he needs someone to talk to about it or he might go nuts. A lot of ‘bots have said that talking to Sunstreaker is a creepy experience; even when he’s pretending to be cool with you, there’s something going on behind those icy optic sensors of his. Almost like he’s sizing you up and thinking about ten different ways he could pull out your fuel pump…I think what bothers them most is the fact that he probably could. ‘Streaker’s one of the best fighters we’ve got and he’s downright scary when he gets into battle: cold, ruthless, and without any shred of mercy. But, hey…he is my brother.

Abilities: Sunstreaker’s strength is only a bit above average, but his mastery of combat is top notch. From hand-to-hand gladiatorial combat to sharp shooting, Sunstreaker has it covered. He’s a calculating and methodical fighter with great agility and polymer-steel skin that shrugs off most artillery. In vehicle mode, he’s got excellent speed. As a robot, he’s armed with an electron-pulse rifle that fires 300 bursts per earth second and laser guided ground to air missiles. Each missile is the equivalent of 450 lbs. of TNT and can down a Decepticon jet fighter at a maximum distance of 37.5 miles.

Weaknesses: [Medical Assessment, From Ratchet, Autobot Surgeon] Frankly Optimus, its Sunstreaker’s attitude that worries me most. He’s got all the signs of sociopathic tendencies, which makes him a potential danger to his own teammates. He’s easily baited into battle, and his inability to work effectively with anyone but Sideswipe puts him at great risk.

Sample Post: Sunstreaker hated this planet. It was so…moist. It was a miracle he hadn’t come down with some sort of rust or something yet. An entire planet nearly covered in liquid. Why would anyone be interested in a mudball like this was beyond him. It wasn’t just that though, but it was all the creatures living on it too. They were all so squishy and hairy. It was such a miserable little world. In his opinion the Decepticons were welcome to it. Command hadn’t agreed with his assessment though. No, they had to make sure not planet fell to the Decepticons, no matter how pathetic and wet it was.

Even then he wouldn’t mind being stuck here so much. At least he would be on the frontlines of the war smashing some Decepticon heads. Unfortunately the planet was home to some slightly evolved organic lifeforms. That meant they had to go through the whole ridiculous infiltration process. That meant he was stuck with a primitive alternate mode and driving around with a holomatter recreation of one of the dominant lifeforms. If that wasn’t bad enough, it also meant they couldn’t just directly fight the cons. They were out there too, hiding. First you had to fight them, and even then you couldn’t transform and punch them in the face. You had to find somewhere isolated and then beat their faces in. He rarely had the patience for anything like that.

In fact, it was that lack of patience that had him on the roads right now. His commander had tired of having him pacing around the base complaining and so he had sent him out on patrol. It wasn’t much of a batter alternative, not in his eyes at least. Sure, he was out driving around now, but patrol duty was far beneath him. On top of that he had to mingle with the natives, and he had no confidence in their driving abilities.

The sleek autobot pulled up to a red light and stopped. A red convertible packed with young men out for the weekend pulled up next to him. The driver glanced over at the yellow Lamborghini next to him and quickly noticed the attractive blonde female that was Sunstreaker’s holomatter avatar in the driver’s seat. “Hey baby, that’s a hot car you got there! Sure you can handle it all by yourself.” The woman looked over at the other driver, a slightly creepy smile plastered on her face, then turned back to look at the road.

‘Great, the natives are trying to talk to me. That’s just what I want to do, is communicate with these lesser lifeforms.’

“Come on baby, how about you show me what you can do with that car.” The man revved the engine of his own car.

That was a language Sunstreaker understood quite clearly. If these little primitives wanted a race, he would give them one. The Autobot warrior began revving his own engine in response. When the light turned green the two cars shot off. The cars remained neck and neck of the fortunately clear streets, but this was only because the Autobot felt like taunting them a bit. There was no car made by man that could keep up with him.

Sunstreaker was just starting to pull ahead when he spotted road construction rapidly approaching ahead of them. His lane was blocked with large cement blocks, something he had no desire to run into. He gunned his engine and slid ahead of the other car and then quickly cut in front of it. The move startled the man driving the other car, causing him to hit the brakes and go into a spin. He ended up slamming the rear and left side of his car into the concrete barrier.

Sunstreaker swerved to a stop some distance down the road. He scanned back at the other car and detected positive life signs from all of the occupants, although they were certainly a bit banged up. ‘That should teach them not to race with the best. Losers.’ With a squeal of tires the Lamborghini shot off.
