Takara Beast Saga: Is this the "Battle Beasts" reboot?

Takara Beast Saga: Is this the "Battle Beasts" reboot?

I remember hearing rumors a year or two ago that Hasbro and/or Takara was planning to reboot the Beast Wars franchise. Today I noticed these on BBTS: http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/menu.aspx?menu=2955 They look a lot like Battle Beasts, right down to the stickers on their chests that show which element they're aligned with. So are these the new "Battle Beasts"? Is there any chance Hasbro will release these in the U.S., either as Beast Saga or as Battle Beasts?

I believe the Takara BB are a different entity as to what... is it Diamond Toys in North America? I'd rather have it in Takara's hands anyway. Sure it's import but I think they'll have more success there than out here.

Yes these are the new Battle Beasts.

The new Diamond Select ones that are actually branded as Battle Beasts however are not, they just have the trademark since Hasbro did not renew it.

Yeah, those Diamond Select figures don't look like they have any articulation and only bear a passing resemblance to the originals. It looks like the Takara Beast Saga figures are the "real deal".
