People have been arguing about how legit this is for how long now? Didn't news of this being an official release hit like a few months ago at least?

If it were released by Takara today (or in the future), it would be under the United (or whatever they choose to call it next ) line.

Ok, I need ot pull you up on this. When people uncover a Universe or RTS or Generations design that's upcoming and call it "Classics", would you dispute it because someone wasn't pedantically naming what the line was being called at that time, or would you just accept it for what it was - the general term for the whole of CHUG being used? If so then where do you draw the line? Do you, for example, dismiss the legitimacy of an upcoming figure for say Classics or Universe because someone didn't say Classics [2.0] or Universe [2.0]? At such point is such a pedantic approach even remotely productive? If your answer is yes, I would be very interested to hear just exactly what your reasoning is.

Henkei and United are two different toylines. It's like questioning the use of "First Edition Ripclaw" instead of "Beast Hunters Ripclaw." Yes, they're both part a series of successive toylines, but they're two different toylines nonetheless.

And you've actually proven my point for me. Supposing it was say, Ripclaw in this case and someone claimed it was a PRiD release, wouldn't the smart thing to do to be to question exactly which line it belongs to rather than question its legitimacy completely (particularly when the lines are both sublines of the same larger, overarching toyline - eg TFP:FE, PRiD and BH are all ultimately sublines of Transformers Prime)?

at the time when I Received this figure I assumed it was Henkei due to the chrome parts. It has since been released as United. Not arguing that just that the figure was legit to begin with and it is nice everyone can nab a Takara version and I really prefer this deco to the Hasbro version.
