I'm fine with the Hasbro Rhinox colours in general as they complement the Original toy - however if they ever decide to reissue him I'd not mind a slightly grayer matt plastic for the Rhino Mode with some subtle pain accents to make him look nicely realistic as a Rhino and then on the interlimb parts the shiny paint effect Takara uses from time to time - not an out and out chrome look but just something with a sheen and shine to it to represent the CGI look.

In a way it's a shame that Transformers got so expensive that it makes boxed gift sets of random stuff impractical it might have been fun to see some of the Generations/TT-Legends toys in some of the more Eccentric alternative colour options like the Fox Kids colours for example.

Hopefully one day there will be a nice modern T-Rex Megatron in a decent size... Leader might be to big though he really needs to be a bit bigger than the old Ultra but not by much.

Perhaps the only way the design would be proper good though is if it's a Masterpiece like (Beast Convoy) Optimus Primal is going to be.

I hope they don't do just one BW-MP next year. Megatron seems like he'd be next. Thought one thing confuses me about them making an MP Primal next year, didn't BW come out in 97 in Japan?

They could have designed it to start with our anniversary (since hasbro seems to be ignoring it, if their slideshow at botcon is anything to go off of) since they are probably aware of our love of BW and that many collectors here purchase their MP line.

Just pre-ordered legends nightbird. It was a little much, but I do so love the arcee mold, and the new sculpt and weapons and paintjob really sold her for me; can't wait.

But it is a shame that she is accurately G1-ly unpainted, some paint on her abdomen and thighs wouldn't have hurt, really.

今月発売予定のLG14 ウルトラマグナス、ＭＰの発売後ということもあり、カラーリングに関してはイロイロと考えさせられましたが、ＬＧシリーズではこの色に落ち着きました。既に海外版を御持ちの方にも参考まで、今回は少し好みが分かれるかな？

I think Takara went with this colour scheme because they had already released a perfect cartoon-accurate Magnus (MP-22) not so long ago.

In the same boat. Seeing in person, the cream shade of the white was the deal breaker for me, though. Pre-ordered Takara's. I know, super nit-picky. But hey, I collect Transformers!

It's too bad the whites of the two versions don't match more closely. I like the blue of the Takara one better, but prefer the white thighs. I'm not the only one to write this, I know. But that comparison pic really highlights the good and bad of both paint jobs....

The one issue I have with this, though, is that my Minimus's right arm keeps popping off its shoulder ball joint too easily, so I have to live with that.

I found one after a little digging. Back on page 94 there are a couple pictures of the chest open and a kiss players figure sitting there. No paint inside the chest.

Yup agreed. The TTomy CW UM blue along with the other minor colors look really nice over the Hasbro version. However, I prefer the white thigh too, so Hasbro will get my money on that merit alone.

Hmm...Takara Magnus' colors are more vibrant; subtle yet effective. The blue is brighter & the whites are whiter. The red thighs aren't only comic accurate, they're G1-toy accurate; I wasn't expecting that.The blue on the shins/ramps, and the crotch is a surprise as well. There's a lot less white, overall.

G1 Magnus is one of my all-time favorites so the comparison pic is really cool, but it kind of makes CW Magnus look like a pin-head. They're about the same size in bot-mode, so the smaller head on the CW Magnus does look a bit tiny. Leader G1 Megatron, Skyfire, and the new Seekers don't seem to have the same issue.

Anyway, this does look good, and more than a bit tempting to "double-dip" despite the higher price, I think.

Dangit Takara's making it incredibly difficult for me to pass on this. The paint is incredible and something about the white guns just rubs me the right way.

Still really happy with my choice to get the Hasbro version. Minimus makes the figure for me, and while takaras does look nice, hasbros is still very good too

Reading the posts from my fellow Seibertronian's, it's awesome to see that for the most part any criticisms are aimed at paint preferences above all. I think HasTak did a great job on this guy.
