For those of you who either missed out on or held off on purchasing the Target Exclusive version of Leo Prime, you now have another chance and at a very low price.

Target.com now has the figure listed at a very low $6.98, which is 65% off of the original retail of $19.99 and dirt cheap for a Voyager class figure.

theres a good reason for that. im still finding cybertron repaints at wal-mart.

what they should do is release the legitimet lio-convoy. or maybe just rerelease the whole beast wars toyline. the 15th aniversery is comming up and i need a new cybershark

That's impossible, since the basic sized molds are long gone. So no Rattrap and Terrorsaur. And which Cybertron repaints are you finding? If it's a Bruticus, gimme!

Not Bruticus, it's repacked Cybertron Basics/Scouts. Nothing to get too excited about. Off the top of my head, Backstop, Brakedown, and Brushgaurd. There may be a few more but that's all I recall. They've only just been released again to Wal-Marts perhaps a month or more ago if that. As far as Lio Convoy goes, he was available for $30 pretty much everywhere for multiple years. Sounds like somebody snoozed too long. This was a nice deco (which was indeed fan demanded) with a new headsculpt. The mold in general isn't anything fantastic but it's certainly good enough for that price. I stand by my original statement. :P

breakdown, brushgaurd. you know the stuff repainted and repacked a thousand times over for the 2007 movie.

that sucks about the basic molds though. still, id like to see some mass beast wars release for the 15th aniversary

If I had known this a year ago, I wouldn't have picked him up then. ;)

Not a bad figure. Not great, but not bad; definitely has a better color scheme than the original Optimus Prime-colored Leo Prime (which is why I bought this one).

Mindwipe is also on sale at Amazon for $7.99, I believe it's also being sold through Target.

So all those basic BW knock-offs with little jogging dinosaurs (including Terrorsaur and Iguanus in their BW Neo Hydrar and Crazybolt colors) sold in places like Value City 6 years ago were the results of their only molds being stolen, or did Takara sell them off due to Beast Wars' unpopularity in Japan? Could that also bode ill for reissues of larger Beast toys that showed up in KO, like LioConvoy, Heinrad, Optimal Optimus and Dragon Megatron? Those are no longer available, but you can still find KOs of smaller Scramble-City team guys, and even complete Protectobot and Constructicon giftsets in Big Lots, so does mean their molds are lost from legitimate hands too?

Back on topic, I already got the white Leo Prime when those Target exclusives went on sale last year, and with the rarer Optimus-colors Leo Prime, I've got at least two Cybertron Optimus arms I've never even taken out of the box yet. That white one's about the coolest possible repaint for that niche of Transfans who are also into the old Soupy Sales show, because with it and Nemesis-Breaker/Black-Ligerjack, you can turn Galaxy Convoy into the guy who wore the gloves for White Fang and Black Tooth! It's a trick to get both arms on that Optimus without damaging him, but everyone figured out how, right?

Same here. It's not really a great figure, but I wanted to make savage claw mode for OP and never got LeoBreaker or whatever the evil version was. After trying it, meh, shouldn't have bothered.

I don't see how the 2008 Leo Prime was arae when I passed him up at several Targets looking for other toys. The 2009 Leo Prime repaint was better but still not good.

The mold itslef is odd in proportions giving the robot thick thighs. Also cheapening him to be a Prime repaint irked me to death.

Lio Convoy and Flash Lio Convoy are the ones I owned waaay back in 1999 when I had all the Japanese Beast Wars shows on VHS, and although the Flash Convoy was an exclusive it pales in comparison to the original paint job for Lio Convoy.

I'll pass.

That's all that figure is worth if you ask me.
I wouldn't mind an original Lio Convoy. A very nice toy but it's too expensive on ebay. This Target exclusive Lio doesn't do it justice at all! There were some cool figures from Beast Wars Neo. I like Big Convoy too. Also pretty pricey.
I bought a Heinrad and he's cool. Wouldn't mind a Galvatron as well, and he's cheap on ebay.

Whoa, nice! Now if only his partner Skystalker was remotely close to that price.

They have a weird checkout, they dont tell you the shipping and the tax until after you enter your credit card info. After it was all said and done id would still be paying around $14 for it, not that great of a deal even for a figure i never saw in stores.

I lucked out and got two of these for $4 and some change back when the nearby Target clearanced them out. Not the greatest figure, but for someone like me who can only afford to collect one character (had to go with the guy I loved as a kid of course) aside from rare exceptions, and even then is on a pretty tight budget with two kids, a mortgage, being a stay-at-home dad, etc, this was a deal I couldn't pass up and adds a nice bit of variety to my Optimus collection. Just wish I could have gotten the previous, albeit rather goofy looking, blue/red/silver painted version of this guy when it was on the cheap too. Ah well, again, not the greatest looking figure, but for anyone in a similar situation to me, it's not too bad and can be posed in some ways that makes him look a little cooler than he should in robot mode. He kinda looks like Wolverine and Optimus had a baby. Short and stalky looking with Optimus' head.

At one point these guys were going for under $3 at Targets in my area...I still passed. I have the Cybertron Leo Breaker version...wish I woulda sold it when people were paying stupid amounts of money for it on eBay for some odd reason a year or two back.
