What blade are you using? I'm using a Strange Half-Zatoichi right now. No, you can't have mine. Yes, you CAN have one of my two spares if you offer me something nice. (Hit me up on Steam) Yes, I have three Strange Half-Zatoichi.

Reminds me of a funny story from way back. Right after the Eyelander was patched so you'd collect an enemy Demoman's head collection, a bunch of Demomen I was in a server with all started decapitating each other Highlander style. Eventually, it became a house rule that ONLY Eyelander-using Demomen could attack and kill each other. We ended up having a 40-something head pile before some jackass Heavy ruined it all.

I had and tried using the Half-Zatochi, but I like the Eyelander better. Slightly longer reach than the katana plus the stacking speed and health is nice.

The range on all of the swords is about the same. As for health, Half-Zatoichi doesn't give you a health increase, but it does fully replenish your health on each kill.

Doesn't have the cool glowing-eye effect, though.

I know it's a double post but whatever.

First off, you were right, the Eyelander does have a 37% longer range. They must have only revealed that recently because I don't remember hearing about that during the War.

Second, it's Australian Christmas, one and all! It's a double-drop week, in case no one noticed. Which, if you played at all, you did. I have been getting drops left and right.

Steam is being an idiot for everyone right now. Think about how many people play TF2. Now think about that many people all trying to download a file at once. I would be more surprised if Steam wasn't derping right now.

So, I just had the BEST run as Engineer ever. 25 Sentry kills, not only topping my previous Sentry Kill Record (19) but also beating out my General Kill Record. (Formerly 21, as Demoman)

The Records page hasn't updated. So...it didn't count. My best run as Engineer ever, and it didn't count. I do recall one particular Scout who kept running directly into my sentry repeatedly, and when I called him out on it (After fooling a man with the same trick ten times, you do get curious) he didn't respond--he MIGHT have been a bot, and that might have contributed to it.

The Bot AI is fantastic, there's no denying that. They use tactics some human players don't even think of. And killing them doesn't count for anything, especially for my best Engy run ever.

PHOOEY.

In other news, I can't open any of my Nice Winter Crates because I accidentally bought the wrong kind of key. DOUBLE PHOOEY.

And the Engineer answers an even more important question.

And while we're posting TF2 videos, here's the most hilariously devious Spy move ever.

And you can't forget the Saxxy Award winning tale of El Muchacho.

That last one is hysterical.

Here's a music video I found of Erectin' a River. It loops.

well, I bought the full game, along with some other miscellaneous items from the Mann Co. store.
Through some trading I managed to acquire a Strange Sydney Sleeper.

Is anyone interested in trading for it?

If so, then give me your steam name and I'l give you mine and we can make a trade for something.

Edit:By the way, has anyone else on here had problems with item drops ever since the supposed x2 drop rate was introduced with the Christmas update? So far I haven't gotten a single item drop since the update.

Fantastic...you're still a noob, though. Sorry, you can't buy your way out of that, you have to fight for it.

I probably have something I can give up, depending on the class you play. Name's in the sig, hit me up with a friend request.

I must have burned them off real quick, because the drops were coming on fierce at first, now I can barely find anything.

And I think I just figured it out. It's possible they increased the drop rate but not the drop number. So I found a week's worth of drops in only a couple of days and that's why the drops have started slowing down.

Oh well. It resets every Thursday.

My steam name is "Commander Helios". (no quotes)

Scratch that, I traded off my strange sydney sleeper for a strange bushwaka (or however you spell it) last night after no replies, so sorry.

(And yes, I realize you posted this last night, but I didn't check back soon enough)

And yeah, I also realize I am still a noob, I bought the full game just because I wanted to have the ability to sell off some christmas crates that I had gotten.

(I don't really care about how shiny/fancy/unique my weapons are, I just care about functionality, which is why I am trying to get rid of my strange weapon and why I got rid of some Christmas crates of mine.)

Speaking of Winter Crates, I have a few i'd be willing to trade. Hit me up with an offer, not really looking for anything inparticular.

Well, somethings happened today:

I went on my best Demoman streak ever, at a whopping 55 kills. Legit, too, no bots for me. It does lead me to believe that noobs are freaking awesome, especially the ones who are stupid enough to taunt in my sticky fields, to continue walking into my sticky fields, despite knowing they are there, especially if we just capped the intel and it's an all-crit field. Or rush into a room backpedaling...into my sticky fields. But they are so dumb they lead to me doling out 55 kills, 15 defenses, 7062 damage, and 6 dominations.

Keep playing like crap, kids! It just makes me look better.

(Not you, Flakmaster, I'm sure you're good. Though I do look forward to repeatedly turning you into a big pile of gibs)

Also, I traded a bunch of stuff for the Old Guadalajara. I did this so I could become EL MUCHACHO!

I had the most hysterical kill as a Medic the other day.

So the Crusader's Crossbow dropped and I decided "Why not?". Wound up pegging a Sniper from across the map. That had guy had to be pissed.

The Huntsman is a funny weapon. When it came out, despite Valve specifically saying otherwise, people still think it can be used effectively at the same range as a Sniper Rifle. The downside? At that range, it is hilariously easy to side-step. Many players haven't figured out it is a mid- to close-range weapon, and brutal in the right hands at that range.

That said, killing an enemy with any relatively slow-moving projectile, like arrows, from a huge distance is something to be proud of. You, sir, get a fist-bump from the internet.

I seem to be having a problem with the server list.

For the last week or so, give or take a day, I have not been able to find any servers at all.

I can still find and join the servers from my server history and favorites list, but the list of active servers will not display anything!

This may have happened after I got the full version of TF2 through a Mann Co. store purchase,
but I'm not completely sure.

I have joined lots of servers with downloaded content, such as Vs. Saxton Hale servers.
Could that have anything to do with it?

No, just keep trying to refresh. Sometimes the server list gets a bit temperamental on you. Give it a couple more tries and it should work.

I wish to believe you, but I have frequently refreshed the list, and once it finishes it says that it can find no games under my filters! My filters are:

Server is VAC protected + no password + is not full + has users playing

I have also messed around with all of the other filters, but I have removed them. Could I be experiencing a filter problem?

Edit: I've refreshed it 3-4 times with my (listed above) filters on.
No luck.

Unfortunately, no. I have the Short Circuit, but I really like that thing. Same with the Gunslinger.

Here's a funny story about that: There was this time on one of those "Surfing Maps" where the two base were in missile range of each other So me, another Engie and several other soldiers began to fire missiles with our sentries and rocket launchers over there, as I understand, one of the soldiers actually got a kill.

It was funny because nearly no one else was going down to fight, nearly everyone was up there firing missiles in the other's base.

I am now the somewhat proud owner of a Pomson 6000.

The Pomson eh? I managed to craft one myself. It's a fun space gun, but I can't stand how the Engineer's arm is twisted 90 degrees more than it should be humanly possible to do so.

Still, it helped me clear out my inventory and now I have an infinite ammo anti-spy gun.
(Well, sort of, the cloak/uber draining feature is a nice little bonus, assuming I manage to hit anything with it. I'm a really bad aim)
