The Dallas Morning News is reporting that Transformers 4 will begin shooting there in June. More specifically in the towns of Lockhart, Taylor, Elgin and Pflugerville.

A large Austin production office opened in March, but location scouting dates to November. There was initial interest in the Circuit of the Americas racetrack southeast of Austin, but instead the Austin Film Commission says the focus is on small towns that remind Bay of Robert Frank’s 1950s photos collected in the classic book The Americans.
In Taylor, 30 minutes from Austin, a police chase will close downtown and a railroad overpass, said Deby Lannen, the city’s Main Street program manager. A car will be exploded in the city’s Robinson Park. “It’s pretty exciting,” she said.
“I know there will be things exploded in Taylor for sure. Some will be physical effects, some CGI,” said Gary Bond, head of the Austin Film Commission.

Is this part of the "car chase from Hell" that we previously heard about? Only time will tell, but it's looking that way.

I am not sure where they were headed. but about a week ago, traveling along i-40 thru NM and AZ I passed a flatbed semi hauling 2 Rachet Hummers and a Caddy SRX (presumably a new character?) eastbound.
Later I passed another truck that may have additional vehicles as it had a hummer h3 that looked like the NEST hummers, don't remember what else was on the truck with it.

Incidentally during the 3rd filming, I happened upon a flat bed with rachet and ironhide overnighting in a chattanooga walmart parking lot.

I don't know if they were headed to TX or not, but I did pass a flat bed semi with 2 rachet hummers and a cadillac SRX headed east on I-40 thru Arizona. I later passed another flat bed with 2 cars I can't remember and a NEST Hummer H3T, also headed east.

incidentally, during the filming of the 3rd movie, I happened upon this https://sphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos- ... 5830_n.jpg overnighting in a walmart parking lot in Chattanooga, TN
