Maybe I'm just crazy, but I never got that feeling. It seemed to me that the volcano was just a symbolic sort of thing. :/ The volcano kind of looks like it has Dark Energon in it, so maybe it's a result of what seemed to be Dark Energon falling from the sky?

Good point on the Dark Energon :APPLAUSE: .

Well, new characters sound good. That's probably the main reason I dislike Prime as opposed to Animated. Animated had more characters and more interesting characters.

Season 2 is on its way. And the creators have subtly hinted at Unicron coming in this show. But, yeah, we have considered that it may be too early for Unicron to come and have thought of other ideas too (I've considered the Liege Maximo). Still, we won't rule out Unicron completely due to all of the hints to him we've been getting.

Anaother possibility, yes. Though, there's more evidence pointing towards either Unicron or the Liege Maximo.

Where was there evidence of Liege Maximo? Because the show is named "Prime"?

Sabrblade wrote:WAIT A MINUTE!!!!!!

How can we be so certain that it is indeed Unicron? I mean, nowhere in Orci's words or this video is it really a given. In fact, this video shows far more evidence to another individual than Unicron: The Liege Maximo.

Think about it. He is the ultimate counter-force to good. He is something like the "father of all Decepticons" (and that video clear emphasizes the Con symbol). He was based at the Hub, which is a massive network of tons of metallic planet-sized spheres that he controlled via aligning them (and this video refers to such an alignment of spheres). His goal was to achieve godhood and become one of the Dark Gods like Unicron, so there's still that connection left intact.

Though, I'm not ruling out the possibility of Unicron appearing in this show, but like others have said, it feels too early to use him at this point in the show. The Liege Maximo, however, would fit better being one of the Original 13 (and thus being a Prime himself), so as to help make the name of this show (Transformers: Prime) make more sense by bringing another Prime.

But so as to not exclude Unicron, maybe the Liege Maximo could be like a sign of his eventual appearance. Like, have the Liege Maximo coming in near the season 1 finale/season 2 premiere, and have him be the start of an arc that leads up to Unicron's coming at the end of season 2/start of season 3.

That head is pretty clearly Unicron's and I think his connection with Dark Energon pretty much makes his appearance inevitable.
Liege Maximo would be a pretty awesome appearance as such an obsolete big bad, but I highly doubt it. "He is coming" is a lot more Unicron-esque. We all know who he is, only a few know much about Liege Maximo.

And its probably been mentioned, but Animated only got three seasons, I don't see why bringing the major villain into the picture in Season 2 is too early, there's no guarantee that Prime will last much longer, if longer at all, then Animated.

I just got really bummed out when i read your last para, but in a wierd way, it might be a blessing in disguise. If they ran outa good material, it'd be lame to keep making crappy episodes. Hopefully the writers are wise enough to go for quality rather than how long they can squeeze a franchise. I'm optimistic here. TF: PRIME, rules

I am not sure if anyone else feels this way or not but I certainly hope that they keep doing different spins on characters like they did with Wheeljack. Granted, it pained me at first that he was not the zany scientist that I knew and loved in Generation 1 but my tune changed very quickly. I like him as a tough guy, it was a different take. I would love to see what they would do with my favorite, Mirage.

I think this is why I loved Animated so much. There were homages to G1 but they were also poking fun at it too. I liked the different story line of the repair bots finding the all-spark and their take on some of the characters like Jazz, Prowl, and of course, Omega Supreme were amazing and different. The Cyber-ninja angle, Ultra Magnus was the leader of the Autobots and not prime. I just wished the twins (Jet Fire & Jet Storm) had more character development as the first flying autobots.

Anyway, I am just tired of seeing G1 over and over again in new stories. That might also be why I am saddened that GI Joe Renegades is not continuing.

He's not so obscure anymore, what with Hasbro having recently gone and redesigned the looks of all the known Original 13 Transformers for this new continuity--the Liege Maximo included. He was also given a mention in the Exodus novel, as were The Fallen, Vector Prime, and Alpha Trion (who was also an active character in the story). In its sequel novel, titled "Exiles", Vector Prime, Nexus Prime, and Solus Prime are to also play key roles in the story. So, Hasbro is gradually reintroducing the concept of the Original 13 and its members little by little with each new fictional piece pertaining to this continuity.

Yes there is. Seasons 3 and 4 of Prime are already in preproduction. The current plan for Prime is to have it run for at least 7 years to a decade.

They said at BotCon last month that Prime Wheeljack is a mechanic like his G1 counterpart. We just haven't seen that side of him yet.

I did not know that. I guess I never viewed Wheeljack as a mechanic per se. The Prime Wheeljack could be a car mechanic whereas I think the G1 was more of a scientist who also repaired autobots as well. Even the Animated Wheeljack was more a scientist than a mechanic.

The Prime Wheeljack just doesn't seem to fit the G1 Wheeljack who created the immobilizer and then helped to create the Dino-bots.

G1 Wheeljack was always a mechanic, or rather, a "mechanical engineer". That was his official function. Wheeljack being deemed a "mad scientist" was just a nickname based on his hobby of building and tinkering with gadgets. The AllSpark Almanac II revealed Animated Wheeljack to have also been an engineer in the Science Guild. Perceptor, however, was the scientist of G1 and Animated, as per his official function.

I would love to see Megatron and Prime call a truce long enough to fight and vanquish Unicron. Watching them fight side by side as they did in the early days of the war would be an awesome visual.

I think that you may not be understanding what I am writing. Yes, Wheeljack (Animated, G1, and even Prime) is a mechanic/mechanical engineer. However, the personality is different between G1 and Prime. In G1, he is a mad scientist - even his tech spec says so, creating new weapons for the Autobots and creating new Autobots. In Prime, he is a Wrecker, who wields a pair of swords and is an amazing warrior. G1 and Prime Wheeljack may have same job description but they do not have the same personality which is what I like about Prime. It's not G1 done all over again.

Oh, I just thought of something else. Though this is most likely NOT going to be who this dude is, I can't help but bring him up since his TFWiki article describes him so nicely knit with this very prophecy... Megatron. :-B
