Hi, I'm back after 4 years. And I've got a new fan fiction, this time, it's an "Ultimate" style reboot of Transformers: TF Rebirth. Please keep in mind it's NOT supposed to be G1 at all. I hope you like it!
Also, tell me if I get any Cybertronian expressions wrong, I haven't written about Transformers in a long time. Well, without any further ado...~ps: scrambled words indicate foreign languageEarth standard military time: 11:03 Location: a region of uncharted space.
Optimus Pax stared blankly at the black apron of darkness that is the unknown universe. He often amused himself with the thoughts of what sort of life could inhabit the countless flecks of light in the endless space. But that was not why he was on the Ark, though space intrigued him, Optimus was a soldier, and his mission, to save his dying world.
Cybertron was for some time starved for its dwindling supply of sustenance, the ore known as Energon. They had encountered innumerable dead planets that they could syphon the cores of to supply Energon to Cybertron. Because the planets were dead, however, the Energon they took never lasted long, and they were forced to continue the search for more.
“Optimus.” Said a low, gravelly voice. “Captain Megatron, sir.” Optimus replied saluting. “At ease, the sensors picked up a planet, the Energon readings are off the scale.” “It’s live?” Optimus asked somewhat excitedly. “Seemingly no, the scanners did not pick up any techno-organic readings.” Optimus’ spark sank. “I understand your disappointment Optimus, one of the reasons you came aboard was to see new life-forms, correct?” “Yes, sir.” “We’ll be arriving in 120 cycles, be ready.” Megatron said leaving the room.

“Ensign Jetfire, what does it look like down there?” Megatron asked. “Very weird, sir, you know how we didn’t pick up any techno-organic matter?” Jetfire said. “The point? It’s uninhabited.” “But there is movement, and we have a visual too, get a load of at this.” Jetfire said as the screen shifted to an image of strange, brown spires topped with green clusters of triangular plates. “What the slag is that?” Megatron asked. “No idea, but stands to reason that the movement indicates some source of unknown life.” “I see, Optimus, you get your wish, we’re going to go exploring.”

A small team consisting of Megatron, Optimus, Corporal Rodimus, and Lieutenant Starscream descended onto the unknown planet’s surface. “This is amazing,” Optimus said. “I’ve never seen anything like this.” “Keep your head on, kid, we still don’t know what’s down here.” A few minutes later, deciding that the area was hostile-free, Megatron said. “Alright boys, we’re splitting up, keep your audio receptors wide and your skid-plates covered.”

Accompanied by Starscream, Optimus walked through the strange new world that they had discovered, rock formations (Of course not really knowing exactly what rocks were.) that looked somewhat like the buildings on Cybertron. He saw towering streams of falling clear liquid. He saw tiny moving creatures almost too small to see. “Starscream, I’m seeing movement below me…” “But your scanners don’t pick up any life forms, same here.” Starscream interrupted. “I think somehow that the life-forms on this planet are completely biological.” Optimus theorized, such a thing was unheard of, but there was no other explanation. Starscream was about to retort in his usual manner but instead said, “My radio systems are picking up what seems to be a primitive data-net, I’m inclined to check it out, you?” Optimus of course said, “Yes.”
Optimus and Starscream slowly made their way through what they had decided to call the green land. “How the slag can there be this much green when the planet is flaming blue?” inquired Starscream, obviously irritated, he didn’t expect an answer but when frustrated he often spoke to an unseen, nonexistent presence in his mind. Optimus kept his mind on himself as he plowed his way through the narrow corridors, he really didn’t notice Starscream yell, “Stop!” Optimus then felt the ground crumble beneath his feet. “Kid!” he heard the distraught Lieutenant scream. Starscream would have jumped after him, but he was wise enough to count the cost, he was a Scout model, Optimus, on the other hand, was a Combat model. Starscream could fly, but lacked the brute strength to carry his unfortunate ex-comrade back up. The last thing Optimus heard Starscream say was, “I’m Sorry!” then all went dark.

Optimus awoke in a dimly lit metal shack, beyond noticing a dozen stationary people in vehicle form, he also saw two pinkish tan creatures, one about about an 8th his size, the other, a bit smaller transporting organs from one place to another. While at first horrified, he then rationalized that this was some sort of hospital. He then said. “Doctor? Are you there?”
“Cordot? Rae oyu heret?” The thing said. “Ah!” The taller human, a male, screamed, surprised that the robot was still functioning. Although if it wasn’t functioning, which he had hoped was not the case, he wouldn’t have taken it with him, but even then, he knew that it wouldn’t still work, and he really didn’t know what he would do with it if it didn’t work, and he didn’t know what it would do if it did, in the end he still didn’t reason out why he brought it with him in the first place. “Sparky? Is something wrong?” The shorter human, a female, asked. “Yes! Very wrong!” Sparky replied.
“Excuse me, not to be rude or anything, but I need to assimilate your language, so we can communicate.” Optimus said, hoping one of the odd beings would respond. “Hawt si ti lkatngi botua?” the shorter one said. “Finally, we’re getting somewhere, my name is Optimus Pax, I need to assimilate your language-”
“-os ew nac mocciaenumt” It said. “I think it’s broken,” The female said. “we should just scrap it.” “No,” Sparky said. “It wants something.” Like what?” The two squabbled for a short time before the metal behemoth spoke again.
“I need a device that you call an-“
“-internet cable.” “Internet cable?” Sparky asked it.
“Oyu nawt na Internet cable?” The creature said. “Yes, an Internet cable.” Optimus said. The taller being ran out of the room screaming. “No, wait!” Optimus sighed with slight frustration, how was he to learn anything about this species if he could not even get them to know what he was saying. The taller being ran back into the room carrying a long, slender cord, “I vahe teh Internet Cable!”
“Sparky, are you sure you’re okay?” the female asked as the robot behind her motioned with his hand for Sparky come closer. Sparky inched toward the alien, no, maybe Japanese… definitely Japanese robot. Half excited and half about ready to have a reason change his pants, he handed the robot the cable.
Optimus, overjoyed that his efforts were fruitful, promptly took the cord and plugged one end in the wall, and the other in his head. Optimus’ mind was assailed with images and sounds as most of the human’s primitive information network, which he just learned was called the “Internet” (kind of catchy, really), was downloaded to his knowledge cortex.
“Greetings inhabitants of Earth, I am Optimus Pax, I come in peace.” For some inexplicable reason, the taller “Human” as he learned they were called, collapsed and began leaking lubricant from his lower abdomen.
