Does Alpha Trion transform based on the image?

I was wondering the same. It definitely looks to have a lot of moving parts, but I can't tell yet if that's just for posability or actual transformation.

I think they're homaging Cerberus hence the 3 heads and the doglike (instead of monster-like) faces/heads.

I think you're right, but it kind of stomps on the name SinnerTWIN.
(With a tip of the hat to Mkall.)

The original character was supposed to be a nod to the Greek mythological creature Orthrus http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orthrus not Cerberus. :-B

They need to correct that.

I'd prefer this before their Superion, that's for sure.

TFC's Abominus looks really generic and is severely lacking in the style department... I'm not impressed with the concept art whatsoever. Not a single drawing makes me go "woooow, that's cool".... and if the concepts can't even do that much, then they're screwed. I love the Terrorcons to death and want them almost as much as I do an updated Predaking... but these look excessively boring thus far. I realise I'm very picky about aesthetics... but at 3rd party prices, it's not worth it to be otherwise.

While I'm not much for backing up TFC these concept images do look nice.

Still they're just eye candy at this stage. Would rather see what they're currently doing rather then what they hope to do in the future.

That being said... *pokes Maketoys with stick*

C'mon, guys... don't be out-shined or anything...

I think the drawings look a little too scrawny. Theyre trying to make the design look too "neo" in my opinion.

Blot - I hate the shoulder armor. I would rather have a "robotic monster" look than an "organic monster" look with body armor

Rippersnapper - arms and legs dont blend into the body well. It looks more like a man in a sharks costume than a mutant shark. would look better with stubby limbs like in G1.

Cutthroat - Looks good, but besides the colors being wrong, Im no fan of feathers on robots. I would rather have more bat-like wings like in G1 to keep the robotic look.

Hun-Grrr - My favorite. I like the way they drew this one. But get rid of the Chinese dragon whiskers. Hun-Grrr is clearly meant to be a "midevil" dragon from European folklore, not Chinese.

Sinnertwin - If it doesnt effect the transformation, how many customizers do you think are going to chop off that middle head ? Get it right, 2 heads please.

Abominus - F**king awesome.

Overall - I would buy it just for the Abominus mode.

I like the looks of these guys a lot myself, but I definitely see what you're saying. It's a pretty big departure from how they looked in G1.

As for Sinnertwin, I like the choice to homage Cerberus as the concept seems more inspired than what Has/Tak did with the original, but it certainly will bother G1 purists and I can see some people chopping off a head to make it right (but not me).

And yes, I totally agree, Abominus looks frickin' amazing!

Alpha Trion is far too wooden in appearance. Not impressed. Abominus doesn't look too bad from what we can tell. The head looks a little like Bruticus' and his legs a little too big, especially with the thin thighs from Sinner-Twin.

What I dont like about Alpha Trion is the thin lower legs/shin guards. They look like fem-bot features. A littl bulk in the legs and the arms would make him look much better. And he shouldnt transform. Backpack kibble would ruin any cartoon accuracy they can muster up.
