And as for deluxe-scale Hercules...eh. Part of the appeal of the standard Hercules set is that he's absolutely huge, and the whole point of this set is to make a decently poseable Devastator in Legends scale (and also as an experiment in downsizing). If the figures were deluxe size, he'd be...eh. Too big to go with Legends and the like, but without one of his main selling points (being a veritable Goliath). It would just be pointless.
Well as a buyer of both Hercules and Giant, I can tell you it was the more G1 (cartoon) aesthetic that drew me towards Hercules, not the increased size. I didn’t want a green Giant because I absolutely hate the individual “neo” robot modes. But a really good deal from TF Source sold me on yellow Giant for my G2 shelf. I love Giant’s scale so much better even though Hercules is aesthetically superior in my opinion. So a Hercules done in Giant scale would be an automatic buy for me. While Metroplex is awesome and worthy of having a small team of legends figures to stand under his feet, I don’t feel the need to revolve my entire collection around him. Honestly, I can’t even remember an episode of the G1 cartoon in which both the Constructicons and Metroplex were both in, let alone in the same clip.
