I guess you don't get it. They are released, that's what these latest pictures and videos are, they are getting them in hand.

TFC is not manufacturing them directly, they gave them to another toy company who makes low cost kids toys (including Chinese KO Transformers), to produce. Not TFC quality, but on the bright side, they cost about $75 plus shipping for all five!

Oh no, I found that out now over Facebook.
Truth be told, I lost track of them, I mean 3 years is a long time and for most of that they kinda died down and didn't release any info whatsoever. So I saw this thread suddenly updated and commented.
The vehicle team is available in Voyager and Deluxe.

Rated X wrote:I usually like generic characters, but I just cant seem to like these. Theyre clearly NOT dinobots. The only thing I like about that t-rex is that he drags his tail like a big dumb dino should. Im not into all that "its gotta be scientifically correct" crap, keep it 80's G1 style. But I just think these are too weird. Theyre too much like the dinobots to be generic characters, but not dinobot enough to be the dinobots. Personally, I would rather see a 3rd party find a way to make the AOE dinobot toys combine. It almost happened with the botcon stunticons. This just doesnt cut it.

They aren't Dinobots, they are unrelated to Transformers. They're actually based on a Chinese cartoon, if that still exists is beyond me. So they're not generic.
Also that T.Rex is designed to be scientifically correct, the only reason it'S positioned like that is because the guy doing the picture decided to measure it in that position. It's designed to stand like this.

But you can also tell by the anatomy of the figure.

I don't know why, but there is something I like about this set.

I like to custom paint figures, and I feel I could give these guys a decent g1 paint job.

I prefer the FOC designs, but my god it will be 3 years before they are out at this rate.

Think TFC took too long to release this toy. Had it been released last year I might have bought it. If I had the money, I buy all of the MP G-1 dinobots instead.

My Speculation is that TFC eventually releases this toy in 1985 Dinobots toy colors.

Just think the combined mode needs a Gestalt head and a chest wing to complete it.

I heard that KO facilities got their hands on the old TFC mould and ripped it off. But that's just what I heard over at TFW.

Id these were slavishly coloured to match the G1 toys I'd probably be all over them. But, as it stands, I'd rather Planet X finish their own set of Dinos. Those may not be G1, but at least they match something from the canon.

if these were G1 colours I'd have already ordered them. vaguely dodgy as they are and despite Swoop's Decepticon face I'm still quite tempted. a wee helmet to go over the Grimlock head for gestalt mode might be good. i could get them to be a Decepticon version of the Dinobots or something.

I've been following this project mainly as a curiosity... And I must say, a few of the newest pics that have come out really amuse me! They're pics showing how well that this scales with other combiners... but not TFC ones! To be fair, it isn't like TFC has their own Bruticus...

Image

...but seeing as they have their own Devastator, I think it is kind of strange that they would be showing off their competition!

Image

Who knew that TFC shared my opinion on which third party Devastator was the better one?

Awwwwww....thanks you two!

At this price, and with some minor paint/mods (like doing a yellow tail for T-Rex and seeing if I can get that "shield" attached to the chest somehow) I think this could be a fair representation. 'Cmon BBTS!!

Huuunnnnngggggppphhhhhhhh..........

Kind of a Thread Necro, sorry.

I went ahead and ordered this through TFSource since BBTS didn't look to be carrying it. It should ship very soon. I don't know that I will get him by the weekend, but when I do, I'll let you know if I can make a Dinoking out of him. I'm even thinking of finding an Ankylosaurus somehow, and attaching as a backpack or something...

There was one in the PCC set. Now, where did I stash that bugger....?
